We weren’t looking for one, but with a name like «Rumors» and the subtle location in the middle of Hawthorne, you’d think it’s a gay bar… Rumors seems to be quite the opposite however. More like a budget racist depressing version of Cheers. Everyone knows each other because this is a lonely lush hangout for the blue collar and white trash crowd. Their drinks are bottles only –nothing on tap, and are clearly being supplied by the adjoining liquor store. Odd shaped bar, mirrored walls, and big buck hunter pro. I went with my Korean buddy from work and people asked what the «japanyese feller was doin here». He thought it was hilarious, I thought it was pathetic. He baited them and screwed with their minds on purpose while I played big buck hunter. We each had two drinks before heading to a much less backwards type of place. If you are an ignorant drunkard who is un/​under-​employed, this place is for you!

My local hangout. Been going here for 10+ years. Now serving a limited menu & the burgers at really good! Draft beers are a good mix between your regular Bud type to seasonal beers. This is a place where all the locals hang — happy hour from 4 — 7 includes discounted drinks. Once you become «a regular «you’ll probably never go anywhere else after work. Blue Collar crowd during the day.
