Little hidden gem in the city of Hawthorne! This is our to-go place for my family and I. We don’t buy our pan dulce other than at this panaderia. They never disappoint and the bread is always amazing when it’s fresh.

I found this hidden gem by talking to one of their customers in Ralphs. I love getting my fresh squeezed orange juice & carrot juice there. I like their tamales too, Mexican style, Guatemalan & Salvadorian. There breakfast burritos are great & they will custom make them for you. They are always busy baking their breads & muffins etc. I feel I’m out of LA in Mexico when I’m there relaxing with breakfast. Very friendly staff.

This place has delicious bread! I always come here to buy some bread. They have my favorite quesadilla bread and also a variety of guatemalan bread that hit the spot!

Stumbled upon this gem after eating at JC Street Tacos next door(which has since shut down). It looks like Panamericana has expanded into the JC Street Tacos space, which is awesome. It was always pretty tight in there, but now there’s plenty of room to look at all the awesome breads on display. If you are a fan of bread, you won’t be disappointed by this place. Plenty of variety and reasonable prices. Enjoy!

I read the reviews and was hoping, praying they had my favorite«Sandia» cookies.(watermelon) They did! :) Craig R. review was right on it! They had a large variety of pan dulce, probably the most I’ve ever seen. They had my hubby’s elotes too(the ones that are shaped & look like an ear of corns). And of course they had bollilos(you know the ones used in torta’s & resemble baguettes — I say this only to those who don’t know & believe me, most folks have eaten them & don’t know what they are called) Yum! It was fresh, delicious, very reasonable and not too far from where I live. They also take debit. Pluses all around!

Bought a bag of sweet bread to take back home to San diego while I was visiting up there. After tasting the various pieces I have concluded they have all the mexican bakeries in San diego beat.

We have been buying bread from here for the a year and it never disappoints. Just tried something new from there, a jalapeño roll with cream cheese inside and it is delicious! Their pan dulce is a must! Always fresh!

All you have to do is follow your nose to this place on Hawthorne Blvd. and you will be pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of pan dulce. As far as Mexican bakeries go this place is solid. They have all the standard pan dulce pastries, muffins and cookies. They stick with what works and it pays off. The bread here is good and you won’t be disappointed. Love that it’s unassuming on the outside; makes discovering the place seems like finding a secret treasure trove. The folks that work here are super nice too.

I love the pastries here. The staff is always busy baking every time I come in and they have a huge variety of classic panaderia options. Each time I plan on getting just one or two but I always leave with 6 or more. And the prices are great for fresh pastry!

The bread here is FANTASTIC! It is super authentic — never greasy, never old, ALWAYS fresh. They make Mexican– and Central-American sweet bread as well as birote(rolls). It’s not the best looking bakery, but the bread speaks for itself.
