Hands down best Louisiana Fried Chicken location! I had the 3 piece red snapper and 2 piece chicken w/​Mac n cheese. I was not disappointed. I actually want to go back for more. Gawddamn! #sogooditllmakeyouwannaslapyomomma

I’ve read all the stellar reviews for this place, and I must say I’ve been bamboozled, hoodwinked, if you will.
I ordered a 3pc fish (perch, my favorite) and 2pc chicken combo. The seasoning in the fish didn’t quite jump out at me, and The Famous Louisiana Fried Chicken was over cooked… a lil’ too dark.
Don’t be a fool like I was, I guess this spot will do if you want to stay in the area. But if it’s mouthwatering, savory fish you’re looking for… make the trek up the street to Inglewood. This spot is not gross, but I will say the best part of my meal was the frozen crinkled fries.

Pretty good, I go there all the time. While they aren’t the best they do pretty good and they are fast. They won’t have you waiting long, about 7 mins.

A friend recommended this location. I was looking into different Fish Market, and I didn’t know where to go, I told my co-​worker and she said this location makes great fried shrimp and cat fish. I called and ordered my meal. The person that took my order was very nice, and patient since I didn’t really know what to order. Once I arrived my order was ready. Very good and tasty fish and shrimp! I am happy with the food and service.

You can never go wrong with Lousiana Fried Chicken if you have a hankering for fried chicken. They are located mostly in South LA with a couple location In Long Beach. This is the only location Hawthorne, so they usually do pretty good business. Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken stores all use the same great recipe but for some reason they are not all created equal. Some are better than others. This location, in my opinion, is the best next to the one on Manchester and Normandie. There are some locations that do the fried chicken, along with serving $ 1 Chinese food items. This location does the Louisiana fried chicken and also does «You buy, we fry» seafood. It’s hard for me to pass by this place and not stop for something because it smells too damn good to not go in.
They do make everything fresh to order so expect a little wait… maybe 10 – 15 minutes. It’s well worth it.
Another great thing about it, it’s always been very reasonably priced. If all you have is $ 5, you will leave out of there with a decent meal… chicken, fries and a roll!!!
Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken has been a staple in the black communities for a long time and I’m very glad that they are still around and making great food. The guys that work here are cool as well.

Horrible. I called in 2 orders, filet of sole lunch and filet of sole w/​shrimp. The filet was switched with Swai. We returned it and the employee wouldn’t taste it or look at it to see the difference. Do not ever go to this place.

It doesn’t seem like much but the food is really good. Cat Fish nuggets are my favorite

I would like to give this place a better rating but I am a big fan of side orders and came into this place because I saw they had collard greens on the menu. The collard greens and potato salad were less than mediocre. The collard greens were very dry and bitter (I think overcooked). The potato salad tasted very much like the tub market kind. But on the great side– the fried chicken, giant shrimp, and cat fish were very good. I would have liked them just a tad bit less salty but overall great. I will definitely go back and order the seafood from the market to cook at home. I have to say I can’t find giant prawns like that at any of my local super markets. Or maybe I will buy the fired fish and make the sides at home.

I was craving good cat fish and Louisiana Chicken and Fish Market didn’t disappoint! From the looks of things it makes the neighborhood look shady! They don’t keep up the parking lot it’s in desperate need of a update but maybe thats what gave it it’s flair. I ordered a L2 which is 3 pieces of fish, I chose catfish fillet, and some jumbo shrimp. Seasoned perfectly! The fish was better than the shrimp only because the shrimp could of used a little bit more cooking. The parking lot attached to it is 1 way in and 1 way out so it might be best to park on the street. I went on a Saturday at 1 and I have found parking on the street and in the lot. It came with mac ‘n cheese but I didn’t mention it because it wasn’t anything to mention. Next time I’ll try hush-​puppies. It’s a good local dive serving up some good country fried seafood!

Great, delicious food! I really enjoyed my meal. Portions were a little small but that’s ok. The batter is great. I will definitely be back!

Dude… THIS IS THE BEST FISH EVER! Hubby and I scored when we found this place. Their fish is THE BOMB and it’s not greasy at all!!! The food is always hot and not soggy.
This is a must try if you’re in Hawthorne.

Louisiana Chicken and Fish Market were nowhere in the original plans for my trip to LA; but when you hungry as a hippo, plans go out the window. Plan B meant the crew taking a drive to the closest spot possible at the time. That move was probably the best Plan B we’ve ever come up with!
There’s nowhere to sit and eat; you’ll wish there was once you smell that food coming from the plastic. This food place was packed when we came here so there will be a wait. The wait was worth it. No diggity, no doubt.

Tried this place for the first time today, and I can say I’ll definitely be back!
No frills here. Just some good fried food!
We picked up the oysters, cat fish fillet, & shrimps. Battered, seasoned, & fried to perfection!!!
I could do without the bread, but loved the hush puppies and onion rings.
They have a case displaying their fresh seafood, and I have to say that I loved the freshness of the cat fish! Man. Juicy and full of flavor!
I also like dipping the sides with mix of their tarter sauce and jalapeño hot sauce.
Order ahead and pick up to go. No seating.

Wow who knew this little place is producing fresh fish that is being fried to near perfection. They have the right amount of seasoning on their fish. They have a wide array of my favorite fish. I am a big fan of perch.
I placed a fairly big order and my wait per the guy would be 15 min. It was done in 12 min.
I’m a fan of this fish market. They remind me of Baits fish market before they changed, their fish is no longer fresh to me.
I’ll be making trips back here when I’m in this area.

Their catfish was not bad either. Overall the whole meal was unhealthy, but hey you only live once.
The mac and cheese was good and their hush puppies were okay. A little too deep fried so it came out super hard.
The chicken was pretty moist, with a little bit of spicyness. Everything came out good.
I took other Unilocaler’s advice and called ahead to pick up my order. By the time I arrived, the food was ready.
I would come back. The store is small, and it’s more of a takeout place. The parking lot is not too bad.
