I have been coming to Woodloch since I was a baby, and now that I am almost 30, I am looking forward to making this an annual tradition for my future family as well! Woodloch offers activities that allow the whole family, from young children to teens to adults and grandparents, to engage and have a blast! We did it all this trip — hiking, bicycle riding, go karts, archery tag, snow tubing, bumper cars, the arcade, trivia contests, and so much more! Evening entertainment is always excellent, as is the selection and quantity of food at every meal. But the thing that makes Woodloch what it is, is its staff. They invite you into their family, and care for you as one of their own. Leaving at the end of our week felt like saying goodbye to a much beloved friend. The Woodloch team’s caring and genuine pride in their work shines through in every detail of the experience.

Best place ever! No kidding, it’s like a kicked up summer camp for families. There are all kinds of cool things to do. I can tell you which things I did but there are also many more. Name that tune, we sucked at it. You be the judge, we kicked ass 2 years in a row. Archery Bumper cars and bumper boats. Go carts. Zip line, so cool. Scavenger Hunt, my favorite activity. Horse Racing Family Boolympics(Olympics the rest of the year). Haunted Hayride Everyone who works there was totally into it And they put a lot of thought and prep work into each event. The Haunted Hayride must have taken months to put together, it was over ½ hour long. It is really cool that they give out medals to the winners. Don’t think that any of it is easy, it takes work for your team to win a medal and you all need to work together. I’m so happy with this place. I’m totally coming back every year.

We’ve been to Woodloch several times, and most recently for a surprise birthday party. Chris Bowers helped us coordinate things, and it was a relatively complex trip with lots of parties coming and going at different times. She gave us wonderful recommendations and followed up with us personally several times during the trip to make sure things were going well. Everything went flawlessly, including great accommodations, a great lemon cake and birthday balloons! Everyone at Woodloch, from Christine to the Kiesendahl family to all the great servers in the dining room and attendants at the rides make every experience at Woodloch perfect. They continue to invest in the property and attractions and you can tell they really love the place and treat every guest as if they were visitors in their own home.

I had the pleasure of staying at Woodloch Resort for a friend’s wedding in May. We were surprised and pleased by the size of our room and the private patio with the view of the lake. The wedding venue was gorgeous and the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Regrettably our stay was not long enough for us to take advantage of the activities offered on the property. Wished our stay had been longer and I would definitely come back here to vacation in the future. 5 stars all the way around.

My fiancé and I stayed at Woodloch Springs for a family wedding for one evening. Was expecting a clean room with private bathroom, but upon arrival was very disappointed. Stayed in a one bed room with no attaching bathroom. Ladybugs flying around on the ceiling all night keep me up and found grime on the sheets. Mentioned this to Chris of the front desk checkout and no apology or action taken for our disappointment. Had a great time at the wedding, but was very disappointed with guest room in house. Accommodations were not worth the price or four hour drive.

One of my favorite places in the world. I visited Woodloch several times as a kid and always had a blast. I still visit even now with my family and continue to be mesmerized by the wide array of activities one can do. It is definitely family-oriented and is great to visit with groups(e.g., friends or extended family). They do a terrific job during the holiday weekends as well(July 4th and Thanksgiving weekends are probably my favorites). The accommodations are very nice, although we usually stay in the Springs – the extra time spent in the car is probably worth the extra space and luxury of staying in a nice house. I’ve done the meal plans a few times and the food is terrific. However, if you’re staying in the Springs, you can easily do breakfast and lunch at the house. There’s even a great market/deli nearby. The nightly entertainment is very solid. The theme shows, for the most part, are fun(not in love with 2015’s, however). The horse racing is easy to get into and the comedians and magicians are usually entertaining. What makes this place so special is the staff, especially the social staff. You feel like you get to know them and their personalities, and it’s always a fun time taking part in their very organized(and sometimes, very competitive) games. There’s truly something for everyone– movie trivia, scavenger hunts, Olympics. I just wish they update(or rotate) their trivia games’ questions and answers more regularly so I can visit more often and not feel bad about remembering the answers!

High recommend this place for those who don’t mind indoor/outdoor physical activity with kids and lots of running around. Went here for the first time with just me and my two daughters ages 8 and 12 as a last minute decision to find something local and reasonably priced for their spring break. This was a big change for us as we typically take a Caribbean vacation where we lounge by pools and beaches all day. I was a bit apprehensive booking this trip, but I can say we were all pleasantly surprised. This is a place where u need to have everything planned the morning of in order to take advantages of all the activities. All meals(if you’re part of the meal plan) are during very strict timelines(breakfast — 8:30 — 9:30 arrival time, lunch 12:00 — 12:30, etc). Most activities also have strict timelines, like bumper cars, family game activities. They give u an activity sheet every morning where u begin your planning. They seem to have activities for all different age ranges. My kids for the most part were in the same age ranges, so all three of us could do the activities together. The only age restriction we encountered amongst our party was the go karts where the younger child had to go on the Jr go karts on her own and we just watched. I noticed some other age restrictions of 13 age or higher for shooting, Segway tours, that mine wanted to do but couldn’t. If u have children of a broad age range, either be prepared to separate(if u can) or if staying together to compromise on activities. Even with some of our compromises we really never encountered any activity we didn’t like with the exception of «Liar Liar» — kind of boring for us. «Minute to win it» and«Cake Wars» were awesome family activities. We got paired with other families since we only had 3 in our party. Both families were great partners… I guess everyone is there for the same reasons to have fun and make memories. We only saw one night show which was the staff show — it was surprisingly really good and funny(a bit corny but that added to the humor). I hear their other shows are even better than this — sorry we missed the ones we did. The trip didn’t start out great as our house rental wasn’t available until 7:00pm which is passed their guaranteed 5:00pm check in. Needless to say, I was not very happy with that as our day was completely planned around the magical 5:00 check in time. They recompensed by allowing us a 5:00pm check out time on our last day, rather than the standard 11:00am. They also gave us a free lunch on our last day. I think they more then made up for our 2 hour inconvenience. As mentioned before, I highly recommend this resort. We did not stay on property at the Pines, but rented a house at the Springs. Pros: Nice secluded home with full kitchen Cons: 2 mile drive to get to the Pines where all activities and dining plan meals are. Even with the cons, we would probably still opt for the springs next time. Only had to drive back and forth twice in a day, once for breakfast and stayed for the daily activities and lunch. Went back to house before dinner to freshen up and then headed back to pines for dinner and nightly entertainment. I would recommend researching ahead so u know the nuances of everything. For instance, I didn’t realize that as part of the meal plan you don’t tip the wait staff as a 15% gratuity is automatically added to your bill when u check out. This type of stuff I didn’t know so I asked the people near me. I think the black book in your room has all of this info too. Note that we went in the Spring when weather was cold and rainy and still had a blast. I’m sure any other time you go it will be more amazing than our trip. Remember to pack accordingly to the weather(rain boots, snow gear, hats, gloves, swimsuits). That’s enough rambling from me. I hope I made my point across that this is a great place to stay for those looking to spend quality time with their families and are willing to do a lot of walking and potentially participate in activities u normally wouldn’t — keep an open mind,”. For us the cost was worth the experience as most activities were included in our package.

I cannot say enough great things about Woodloch Pines. It is the ultimate family friendly resort. It captures the experience of a cruise on land. Lots of activities planned every day as well as a gorgeous naturally beautiful resort for all year long fun. The staff is friendly and accommodating and it comes naturally. If you are looked by for a place to have a memorable fun stay Woodloch Pines is it.

This place is amazing! Great vacation destination for families. They have a day to day itinerary with activities for all ages. The food is good and the staff are just amazing. Everyone was saying hello, smiling and helpful! The Woodloch staff created a Disney World-like experience. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to return for a family trip!

My family and I have been visiting Woodloch Pines for over 25 years now. It had been a yearly tradition throughout the 90’s for us; and now with new additions to the second generation we have started back up this tradition in the last few year. Woodloch hasn’t missed a beat. As the world evolves, Woodloch, well it simply doesn’t, and that’s a great thing. The things that made it such a great place for families and friends to gather, are all(pretty much) still going strong. My mom is not quite sure if the reason they stopped running snowmobiles just over 10 years ago was because she ran over someone’s foot in 2003, or if the modern world of civil suits and million-dollar settlements was the cause(could be both). Also, I’m pretty sure they could still run the go-carts on the big boy track, even in the winter! But family-oriented games and competition, meals enjoyed together at the table, the nightly shows, all of these traditions are in full force. I have noticed that technology has taken the fun out of many games(what’s the point of Name That Tune if someone is going to Shazam everything and take home gold? And IMDb is used for Movie Trivia? Yeah — this is from the guy who got second place in all that stuff… try using your brain next time and see if you can beat me…). Those things are not Woodloch’s fault, they do tell everyone not to use their phones because it’s cheating, but no one listens. Before the internet, my family and I used to do the Scavenger Hunt each year, but now apparently there’s Woodloch forums where people can go see what the families who went the week before had in the game, so there’s another place where technology takes the fun out of things… I’m complaining because of all my second place finishes, but I have a ton of fun regardless each time we visit. Who knew I would enjoy archery that much? It’s really fun! Some of my family members, who have gotten themselves a bit too spoiled with gourmet food, thought the food was a little flat. I tell them to keep in mind that Woodloch is catering to like a thousand people at once. That’s like 7 huge weddings… if you think about how crappy the food is at a typical wedding, I’d say Woodloch is doing a pretty good job. That being said, they may want to expand the selection just a tad, as some of the pickier eaters in my group did often have trouble selecting a meal and ended up settling on something they just weren’t too enthused with. Also, Randy(semi) retired(we heard), and while Scooter did a pretty darn good job in his stead, I would suggest giving Randy a big-ass raise to come back full time. No one does Friday night horse racing quite like him. As for the rest of the staff, the charm offensive continues — everyone is smiling, friendly and helpful, it’s quite amazing that Woodloch can continue to hire people with that hospitality instinct. Keep up the good work, they certainly make you feel at home. I’m already looking forward to next year’s trip, and I just got back!

We love Woodlock. We go several times a year & always get a great meal there. Most of the dinners we go to are fundraising events. The staff is friendly & courtious, food is great. Grounds & Inn are beautiful & clean. I have never stayed over since we live so close, but we always see the show at least once a year & we have dinner there often.

Spent 1 night and had a great time! Stayed at Woodloch Springs with the All-American Meal Plan. Had dinner Saturday night at the Lodge and then to the Heritage Night Club for the Theme Show. Breakfast and Smörgåsbord on Sunday along with the scenic boat tour. Food is good — home style cooking and never ends. Six people paid approximately $ 215/per person for everything(no alcohol but 15% gratuity) in a 4BR house.

Wow! Super fun. Great family run business. So impressed. I wish I could thank them personally. Gonna think about a quarter share. I can only imagine how great this place is in the summer. Tons of stuff to do but then the extras you don’t expect are even better. Haunted hayride was included and easily could have been a 30 $ a person ride. Super cool. Food great. Service great. Room super clean and feels like it’s brand new. I think it is because of a flood but regardless. Our few days were rainy and kinda cold and still the kids want to come back already. I’m an extreme Unilocal reviewer. If I feel you suck and don’t care I’m going to warn people. But if you deserve a great review I’m going to do that too. Thank you woodlock and if I ever need a job I’ll come join the crew.

Woodloch is a lovely family resort, but I have to admit that my heavily tattooed boyfriend and I couldn’t help feeling a bit out of place. We seemed to be the only twentysomethings there without kids of our own, but that didn’t stop us from kayaking together, playing shuffleboard with his two younger brothers, or twirling in circles on the bumper cars. It was a fantastic place for us to feel like a couple of kids again. The resort is stacked with things to do. Although I was only able to stay for two days, I know I wouldn’t have been bored had I been there an entire week. Other reviewers have raved about the food, but it was very meh to me. A helpful hint with that, though – don’t forget the Tums! I look forward to my next Woodloch adventure with my significant other’s family in the next few years.

As I was sitting in the car wondering why we traveled to Woodloch, I checked into my room and I realized why a lot of people recommended this resort and have it high reviews! In most suites you can view Lake Teedyuskung and it is a beautiful view! My family reserved a mini banquet room where we ate two dinners and two breakfasts and they were delicious! The waiter/tresses were very kind and helpful. The choice of food was different everyday for dinner and breakfast. There are so many activities here, some including: archery, go-karting, paddle boating, etc. There is a very nice indoor pool with two comfortable hot tubs and a splash pool. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lake/mountain experience.

You only need to visit woodloch once to know why it’s a five star resort! We come here twice a year, and it is always fresh, and welcoming, and a first class vacation. This could be your first time here, or your 30th year, they always make you feel at home. You meet John, Steven, Brad, Jamie, JK once, and they will remember and welcome you graciously, as a visitor to there own home. The food is as good as ever! It’s home cooking at it’s best, served in huge portions! First chance I get, I’ll post the menu, and you’ll see how good it is. Honestly, if you have teenagers, the food alone pays for the vacation. Stop hesitating and be a part of something special. You will not regret it.

Woodloch Pines is a one of a kind resort. Family owned and operated, most guests have been coming for a couple generations. It’s a magic place that guests return to with their families and remember when their parents brought them when they were young. The best place for family fun from toddlers to grandparents, there’s so much to do! From the incredible meals in the main dining room, to the endless sports, crafts and leisure activities throughout the day, to the vast array of nighttime entertainment that runs the gamut from magicians to Broadway style shows, there is always something to do at Woodloch Pines. The entire staff treats everyone like family and that’s what keeps the families coming back year after year. We come every summer with our whole family and 14 of us stay together in one of their beautiful rental homes. We make memories to last a life time each year and I hope it will continue for as long as possible. My son is two now and I hope someday to be the grandparent and he is writing this same review. I love this place!!!

I want to live here. Second time to this tranquil and happy place. It’s all inclusive, so hand over your car keys and float off. Just please try to be quiet in and around the Whisper Room! Once again, the service(exceptional), the resort setting(sooo relaxing), the spa(ahhhhh) and the food(very good) combined with a terrific full day rafting on the Delaware — simply don’t want to leave. Fell asleep during reflexology, napped outside next to the waterfall, napped in the Whisper Room and consumed three great books. Doesn’t get much better. Can’t wait to go back. The mojito master(Daniel) the hostess(Debra) and the Tree staff(Haley, Mallory, Jennifer) made our meals fun and lend a real personal side to our visit. The menu was great, the wine list deserving of its Spectator award and it’s health conscious too if you can avoid dessert.
