Ugh so disappointed ! After all the reviews I felt it was a safe choice for breakfast… wrong. I’m not one to complain but the food was horrible. Wife and I both had the French toast. Gross & burnt, home fries under cooked a s raw in the middle. The place was empty at 8 am on a Saturday.

Stopped in for Brunch with my husband and we really enjoyed the food. Everything was wonderful. It is my fault that i couldn’t really give them 5 full stars. I am a pain in the butt when it comes to my breakfast food. I cant eat my eggs or bacon if they are not cooked just right. I did enjoy the remaining of my meal(as they give you soooo much) and I took what was left home and had it the next day(i like my eggs well done — I did request them this way) We will come back for sure. (there was plenty for me to order)

This is a really nice place to stay for a weekend in Hawley. Really good breakfast. Room 306 has a perfect bath. Also ask the staff to arrange a fire place for you in the evening.

Great atmosphere. It amazes me of such a quality find in the Poconos. Both bed/breakfast and Resturant. We have visited recently for dinner. From the warm fireplace and inviting bar area to the craft style dining room welcomes you to a enjoyable evening. The menu is limited but the food is excellent. A definite go to place when in the area.

Ate here as part of the Fire and Ice package offered by the Inn. I was very excited to eat dinner here on the 2nd night of my stay simply because all the reviews were saying the food was incredible. For Breakfast: Both days I stayed I got a country style breakfast with eggs, sausage, and«Birdseed Toast». It was a pretty standard meal but the good part was it wasn’t greasy as so often breakfast can be. For Dinner: I ordered the Artisan Lettuce Salad with Citrus Mint Vinaigrette and Pistachios for an appetizer and the Honey Thyme Cured French Chicken Breast with Chardonnay Butter Sauce and Winter Root Vegetable Hash. The salad was HUGE and if it hadn’t been for the fact that I was really hungry, I probably woud’ve been full off of it. It was an interesting dressing with an interesting combo of veggies, but it worked. The chicken was good but not great for $ 26 I expect more than a small piece of chicken it was about 30% bone and fat at that so a few bites of it and I was done. The vegetable hash was good and well seasoned though. The best part of my meal was the salad for sure. My boyfriend ordered the House Made Bison«Bratwurst», Whole Grain Stout Mustard for an app and the Grilled Petite Filet Mignons, rosemary Zinfandel Demi-Glaze with Shrimp Mousse Filled acorn Squash and Sautéed Spinach. I tried some of the Bratwurst, I wasn’t a fan but he seemed to enjoy it. The filets were great and very filling but he felt the acorn squash wish shrimp was a strange combo. The only reason I am giving this place a 4⁄5 is for the prices. We didn’t have to pay because it was included in our package, but if we did I wouldn’t have been happy. For a meal totaling almost $ 100 the quantity could’ve been a little larger for some things. The settlers Inn crosses a thin line between adventurous and strange menu items but I could see how some people might be upset about the food they have.

Service is always great! They have a great little pub area, actually wish it had more tables! One request is for more vegetarian options so I could dine there more frequently. and add a non meat PUB menu option too!

Was not sure what to expect when we booked a stay here. Walked into a warm and inviting lobby with a wonderfully nice woman named Terry. There was a fire place blazing and sunlight coming through the windows. Terry goes on to explain there is a trail we could walk to a coffee shop and shops. We could go to their sister hotel that has a waterfall. Also wine tasting at 4:30 pm and live piano later during dinner… Looks like we won’t be wondering what to do… Our room is 210. Looked small on the Internet but in real life, it’s still small but incredibly cozy, really cute. We love it. But honestly the best part is the restaurant here. It’s farm to table. We had such a wonderful meal. We had lunch here. It was nice and quite. The meal was amazing! Fresh baked bread. Fresh vegetables. Great attention to detail. The Bloody Mary was so delicious and fun! Wish we had room for dinner!!! We’re already planning when to bring the rest of the family!

Wow! I was thoroughly impressed with the Settlers Inn Dining. Delicious food, great food combinations, huge portions, and excellent customer service. Their English Toffee Dessert is to heavenly. I could go back for the dessert and a cup of coffee, yum! Highly recommend dining here for a special occasion, date or a night out with a family or friend. Great atmosphere and plenty of parking.

Very nice place near Lake Wallenpaupak with many choices, great service, and a fun pianist. We all enjoyed dinner and drinks at a fair price. Enjoyed the fireplace and the ambiance overall.

I can’t blame the staff for looking a little critical as we walked in on a Friday night to the fanciest place in town with a 5 year old and 5 month old in tow. Despite this, they seated us promptly and the waitress was very attentive. As each 5 minutes passed and no child tried to throw food or scream, they became friendlier. The setting in the lobby of a local inn feels warm and authentic. A dumpling appetizer was nice without being exceptional, same goes for the salad my wife had. The main courses were also well executed, I enjoyed a chicken and my wife had a shrimp dish. My take away? Lovely setting with good if not memorable food.

My first time at Settlers Inn and I was impressed. I appreciated the Veg options on the menu, as well as the server’s courtesy and accommodating attitude. I ordered the«Earth» entrée which was a mix of eggplant, corn, and quinoa. The dish was so flavorful; it really was a pleasant surprise. Service was fast, staff were friendly.

After a really disappointing stay at Pocono Pines Motel(very run down with towels that reek of mildew) I treated myself to an additional day of vacation at the Settlers Inn(following a fabulous ride at Triple W Stables). The room was beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff were amazing! It ended my vacation on a high note!

The food here is absolutely fantastic. I have been lucky enough to dine here around ten times, and I have left extremely satisfied nearly every time. The lamb specials, specifically the lamb shank and rack of lamb, are incredible. The flavor is perfect and the accompanying sauces and veggies really go well with the delicious lamb. I am also a big fan of the veal shank, even though I’m not a big veal eater. Bottom line– the shanks are great. The appetizers and desserts are also great. Their French onion soup is one of the best, and all of their salads are composed of ingredients picked fresh from local farms. All of their desserts, especially the toffee one, are also delicious. Can’t wait to return!

A very lovely place full of character and life. How ever me and my husband aren’t from around the area and we are African American, and the customers kept starring at us while we ate. I’m not sure if it was mean spirited or not, but a little uncomfortable. Our waitress was a lovely very friendly lady who made sure we were provided with great service. Only down side to for me is that I’m a city girl, and it’s kind of like country living but without all the settings. The menu is very very small, and hard to understand what you are ordering. I was told they update it every 2 months. I would defiantly return and give this beautiful place another shot.

This place holds sentimental memories. Over 15 years ago we bought a house in the area. After our closing on the house we asked the buyers agent to recommend one of their best restaurants in the area. She sent us here. We were impressed right away upon entering the grounds. The restaurant is located within a hotel or Old fashion Inn. The grounds are beautiful and maintenance on the property is kept up very well. The inside is dark wood Victorian décor. In the evenings you can find often either live music or a piano player. It’s a very romantic ambiance. First date if you wish to impress your lady kind of place. It’s not overly stuffy with the dress up requirement. You see folks dressed casual but classy. I bet those are mostly the patrons staying at the inn who wish to just be comfortable. However, those coming from elsewhere to a night out do dress up. The menu is American with all organic or local grown ingredients. They like to keep it spontaneous and since they use local ingredients the menu changes each season. I love their warm bread loaf and homemade butter that is offered to start the meal. I usually pick between a fish or chicken dish. They never disappoint. I bring my mom here for Mother’s Day almost every year since it’s her favorite. There is an outdoor porch and grounds that you can order a drink and moZy on outside to enjoy the beauty of nature and peaceful setting. In the summer they bring live bands to play in the outdoor porch gazebo area.
