Severely over-priced. And I’ve been sold expired food from here, on several occasions. This store is right around the corner from me, but I’ll take the 20 minute ride to the next closest market any day.

This place was MUCH better when it first opened over 30 years ago. Now it’s nothing special. No variety, same national brands as every other store on the world, overpriced.. . and they’ll always say «Yes» when you call and ask if they have something, but when you get there, not only don’t they have it, they claim they never heard of it.
The old Acme down the hill was better.

The speed and service at the deli is in real need of help. Even on quite days the folks move very slow and avoid eye contact with customers. There must be a more efficient way to help customers other than asking them to text their order ahead of time. And if you want seafood or salads you still have to pull a dreaded «deli number».
Prices are premium too.

THIS STORE IS OVER PRICED AND HAS A LOCAL MOMOPOLY WITH 2 markets in Hawley PA. W /NO COMPETITION. THEY OFTEN CHARGE FULL PRICE ON «SPECIAL» ITEMS which they seem to never update at the registers, So if NOT CAREFUL, You’ll pay full price for sale items. Also BE SURE TO CHECK EXPIRATION DATES, As several times I’ve ended up with expired products. WE EVEN HAD A 9YR OLD CONTAINER OF GRATED CHEESE ONCE, THAT RUINED A FULL DINNER Which all had to be tossed at great expense, FOR WHICH THEY SIMPLY APOLOGIZED AND REPLACED It with no concern over the meal it ruined. Nearest competion is 10 miles away, and they exploit that fact each day !
TRULY…NOT COMMUNITY FRIENDLY DESPITE ALL OUTWARD APPEARANCES! We’ rather save Our large shopping for BILL’s SHOPRITE in Daleville PA. rather than shop at I.G.A ! (And that’ s at least 25 miles away,) Or weiss, or DUTCHES in Greentown, (a GREAT STORE ! BUT 25 miles AWAY) or even WALMART for most staples, which is only 11 miles one way, but still a. savings over IGA. THEY SHOULD BE MORE COMMUNITY CONCIOUS ESPECIALLY WITH GAS AS. HIGH AS IT IS, BUT I DON’T THINK THEY CARE. THEY’D RATHER CATER TO TOURIST TRADE THAN LOCALS !!!
