Love the bahn mi here. The fresh baguette and pickled veggies make this a satisfying light meal.

Great service. A reliable restaurant with good prices. Can’t beat the $.99 iced Vietnamese coffee when you check-in!

This place is my go-to Lee’s whenever I’m in need of a sandwich simply because their bread so much better than the other places. It’s softer and doesn’t scrape the roof of your mouth. Service has been quick everytime I’ve gone so far.

i didnt like the bread here. It’s not as crunchy as the other lee’s sandwhich places. The bread needs to be bake a little more because it lacks the golden brown color. Here, the bread is slightly white. sometimes i feel like they used the old pâté. It was a bit sour once in a while.

I’m not sure what’s going on with this place, at first it was great but now the quality of food has gone down hill. I usually order the number 11 and the past few times, i have noticed the taste of the sandwich wasn’t great. I’ve attached a few photos of old brown jalapeños slices and brown cilantro leaves that were placed in my sandwich. Wth? Why would a restaurant serve this to their customers? I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Iced Coffee! If you need to stay awake for anything or need an energy boost, go get the coffee. Triple Shot if necessary :) It has to be good if they are selling it in packages at Costco even. **If you buy 2 sandwiches, your Iced Coffee is only $ 0.99! They have a huge assortment of smoothies, which all look really good, but I always get the coffee :) I have tried a few of their sandwiches, and they are good and really cheap. but personally the baguette bread is too hard for me. Some people really enjoy this kind of bread and will buy a whole baguette from here. Try it & see! It might be your thing. BUT definitely try the ICEDCOFFEEEEEE :)

So this was the first time that my bf and I came to this particular location. We ordered a grilled pork banh mi sandwich and also a large iced coffee for the boyfriend, oh and also some egg rolls too! I wanted to try their spring rolls, but unfortunately the lady working the cashier said that they didn’t have them that day. The bf and I were bummed, because we really wanted to try them. The lady at the cashier was the ONLY person at Lee’s! She took the orders and made them also! I felt so bad for her because the line started to get long after we gave her our order. The sandwich was !!! The eggrolls were good, not amazing, but still tasty. And of course, the bf loooooved his iced coffee. I also got an avocado smoothie, but it didn’t really taste like avocado, or anything really. Hopefully next time we go, they’ll have the spring rolls available.

This is one of the worst Lee’s Sandwiches I have been too. I have been here twice and both times they took over 20 to 25 minutes to make a sandwich. There was only like 2 other people beside me at the time. Both times they had made my order wrong. My second visit there I told them they made the sandwich wrong and the manager looked at me like I was lying. I showed him my receipt and he made the cook correct the sandwich. Really bad customer service and also slow on making the food. Other than that the food was excellent and they just need to improve on customer service.

This place is not like the other lee’s sandwiches, they don’t sell the same packaged items. They kept getting my order wrong when they rang me up. Then after I left I checked & I got a croissant instead of the baguette. I had to drive back & when I told her she smiled and laughed like it was funny to her, then she asked me if I wanted to order something else. I told her no I just want what I ordered I have to go to work. Then when I left & started to eat my breakfast baguette it only had a small half of a piece of bacon in it! This was my second time here, I came once before for lunch & I was not happy. I gave it one more try & they suck! I will never come back here the service is bad!

Great place to grab a delicious Bahn Mi in Hawaiian Gardens. My favorite is the Grilled Pork sandwich off the Vietnamese side of the menu. For those who have never had a Bahn Mi, they’re sandwiches made with fresh french baguette, a protein of your choice, sweet pickled daikon and carrots, mayo, cilantro and fresh jalapenos. For those less willing to try the Bahn Mi, Lee’s also offer an american sandwich side of the menu which includes club sandwiches and ham and cheese, all of which are served with the option of being made on a fresh baked croissants.

Friendly customer service, we were greeted right as we walked in. We ordered. And our food was ready in a few short minutes. The dining area is clean with plenty of tables… We ordered chicken Bahn mi(Asian Sandwich)… The sandwich itself is a tiny bit on the small side. The chicken has nice flavor. The flavor of the pickled veggies(carrots and daikon radish) is mild… The baguette, was just slightly toasted, so fresh and so soft. Delicious… The chicken nuggets(for the kids) seemed like your generic frozen type, but came out hot and juicy. Strangely addicting. LoL. I wasn’t a huge fan of the veggie spring roll. Vermicelli with a sprinkle of lettuce, and onion/sweet potato fried bits. Not a lot of flavor and falls apart when you bite it. Also ordering something veggie and getting something fried is deceiving! Hehe… I’m still forever a fan of Lees sandwiches and would recommend the sandwiches over anything else they offer…(there’s none in my part of the world, San Diego). One request… PLEASESELL CHIPs! Chicken Bahn mi tastes amaZeballs with Maui chips(you know, the one in the purple bag) just try it!

This location does not sell tea, just a heads up! I used to really like coming here to get a café mocha. I’ve gotten it plenty of times and it’s been literally perfect. Just the right amount of coffee and chocolate. What I don’t like is how I ask for light ice every time but instead get a cup filled with ice and my drink not poured to the top. Because of this I’m going to look into another location to get my café mocha from. The taro smoothie is good as well but you have to make sure it is evenly blended. I’ve tried the turkey with bacon sandwich and it was really tasty. I like coming here because the people are really nice, but I need my order to come out the way it should. I will come back if I’m in the area but will look for another Lee’s.

Brand new and clean this location is a bit smaller than the others. Almost like in between the one at Westminster mall and the other shops. Only had two people working when I went in so the guy working the front counter was moving pretty quick to get the bread, take orders, deliver the food and cashier. For those who don’t know, lee’s is really the asian subway. Specialities are what’s called«Banh mi» which are about 10″ long thin sandwiches that are filled with a variety of unique options. I personally like the BBQ pork(cha shu) with no cilantro. I have also had the BBQ chicken and the regular pork which are just great with some of that Siracha sauce. Sandwiches mostly come with your choice of meat, cilantro, shredded daikon and carrots, mayo and jalapeño if you like. Nothing too fancy. What is fancy though is the fresh baguette bread they serve their sandwiches on. Fresh and most of the time hot, the bread is a delight. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside the bread is what ties it all together. We also LOVE the egg rolls there. Pork and shrimp variety to be specific they are always perfectly fried and flaky, crispy. Huge variety of drinks I like the smoothies on occasion but if you have a lactose concern, I will warn you that I believe I have had issues related to them. Overall! happy to have them in the neighborhood. Excited to try some new stuff in the future.

Can’t you see? You & Lee, were meant to be! Had the great honor to attend Lee’s Sanwiches Grand Opening in Hawaiian Gardens. To commemorate the occasion, Lee’s offered either a free Vietnamese iced coffee or baguette with the purchase of a sandwich the whole day. Being a fan of Lee’s cheap banh mi’s and superstrong coffee, I jumped at the chance to be the very first in line for this special event. The employees were training, which is understandable. They were going through the in’s & out’s of the ordering process. My order took a little while longer than it should have, but I wasn’t perplexed. Free mini-banh mi sandwiches, manjoo & iced coffee samples kept me happy as I waited for my order. Attending Grand Opening events, you just never know who you’ll have a photo-op with. Me, I just happened to snap a few pics next to THE Mr. Lee, himself! The official photographer also snapped a few pics of myself — with Mr. Lee, ordering at the register & with the employees giving out free food outside the entrance. Hey, I can’t help that the camera loves me! ;p For less than $ 4, you can have a tasty combination banh mi. A really great value with a good portion-size, the combo banh mi won’t cause you to have a food baby. Wash that down with the liquid crack iced coffee, and that’s what I call lunch. Of course, the place was spotless, with a few tables for dining in. Parking is in a private lot, anchored by a Walmart Neighborhood Market. Lee’s Sandwiches, glad to see you in Hawaiian Gardens. When I don’t want to deal with the parking situation at the Artesia location, I won’t hesitate to stop by & give my teeth a workout by gnawing on your crusty baguette bread sandwiches, with a iced coffee pick me up. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Lees: Hi. Welcome to Lees Sandwich. How can I help you? Meeh: Can I order the 2 item vermicelli combo. Egg rolls and grilled pork please. Lees: Sorry we don’t have that today. Meeh: Which don’t you have? Lees: Grilled pork, egg rolls or vermicelli Meeh: =’( Meeh: I’ll take the Lees Club instead Lees: Sorry we only have baguettes today Meeh:(Sigh) Meeh: Grilled pork baguette please and an avocado smoothie Lees: We dont have avocado smoothie right now just coffee drinks Meeh: Am I on the show Punked right now Lees: –_–(confused look) The Grand Opening date was 09−11−14. I came here today for the first time. Coming straight from the gym, I wanted to eat all the calories I just finished burning off. Located in Hawaiian Gardens right across the way from Walmart and Food 4 Less. The average size of other Lees locations. Selection of items is pretty nice. They have Frozen wings, Frozen egg rolls, concentrated coffee, beignets and a whole bunch of other items. Problem is how do you have this great menu with all these items and only have baguettes available? I had to tell myself«Dont trip chocolate chip. It’s just food. « Hoping this place gets there stuff together. Not a good thing if half the items you want are not available to order yet. Maybe Grand Opening should have been pushed back til everything was ready. Just saying. Only 3 stars.
