Thought it was really nice here, great décor, super friendly waitstaff. I visited on a Sunday so it was busy. Food was ok but not spectacular although the selection was eclectic. Prices were high for the portions received but still worth a try. The only true negative was how crowded it was and they pack you in like sardines. I would still try again on a weeknight!

(94⁄100) Very cute place but extremely tiny. Looks a lot bigger from the outside. They’ll be opening their other location in Media by July 15. Our waitress(don’t remember her ever introducing herself) was extremely pleasant. She kept my water glass full which I was very happy about. She checked in enough with Michael and I at the right moments. When we needed extra napkins and mayo she bought them in a timely fashion with a smile. We ordered: — Spinach mac & cheese bites — Special burger with fries — Bison sliders with fries — 3 beers The Mac + cheese bites were tasty but they weren’t hot when they came to the table. Ugh. Michael said that he was happy with his burger although he didn’t finish his fries. My bison sliders were okay. The caramelized onions were mushy and soggy. This caused the slider buns to be soggy. Second ugh. The fries were okay but their house made ketchup was really tasty. Our total came to $ 64 and change. I wouldn’t be in a rush to come back.

Best craft cocktails in Havertown! Brick n brew knows how to infuse liquor so that it takes on the natural flavor of the fruit/spice/herb. The grilled octopus with date ragu was out of this world tender and flavorful. Friends had the bison burger trio and who’s your daddy burgers dripping with a fresh egg on a perfectly toasted brioche. Service was right on par and we were even able to try a beer before ordering. Great outdoor seating for the summer and you can even bring your pups.

Was immediately greeted at the door, seated and helped by the lovely Kelcey, ordered the bison burgers and was immediately elevated to another plane of existence, definitely coming back again!

This is our favorite neighborhood bar to grab drinks after work. The bar area is very small and it is even hard to stand around the bar because of spacing. But the drinks are always well made and they have a nice selection of beers. A very unique menu! It is best during the summer when they open up the windows and there is outdoor seating in the front.

We had a great time here. The pizza and beer was delicious. Our waiter was very informative and friendly. Even though the place was pretty busy, we got a good seat and quick service. It was a really enjoyable experience, and I hope to go back again. We had a good time.

I wasn’t a fan of their pizza but their bourbon selection was out of this world! I’m very picky about my spirits and my pizza

While visiting my son in the area, we had lunch at Brick and Brew. Nice atmosphere, great Whiskey and beer selection and very good service. Some of our selections were pretty good, the veggie panini and the bison sliders. Fries were cooked well but they offered only their«house made» Ketchup. It was too vinegary but was good with the fries.(Not sure why ANY restaurant would try to reinvent Ketchup when Heinz has already perfected it.) I had the«PLT» sandwich(a play on the BLT) which was ill-conceived and should be overhauled. It had pancetta instead of bacon(which was really flavorful), a fried green tomato and crab meat on a hoagie roll with shredded lettuce. It was so «heavy» tasting that the crab meat got completely lost. If I were to adjust the recipe, I’d use fresh tomatoes, larger pieces of lettuce in stead of the shredded, a lighter bread like Texas toast with some mayo on the side. As far as the crab meat, it might work without the fried green tomatoes but it is a total waste of good crab to put it on the current version. I would recommend this restaurant, it’s a nice cozy spot and has a great variety of offerings, but just stay away from the«PLT» Lol!

I was in town visiting family when we were looking for a place to have drinks and a bite to eat. We were not disappointed with Brick and Brew. The first thing I noticed was the beer selection. I am a bit of a beer snob and the draught selections were really varied and appealing. I totally applaud their choices which I hear change often to provide great variety. I was not in a beer mood and since whisky/bourbon is my liquor of choice, I opted for the Whisky Sour which is advertised as the house special. OMG! It was the best whisky sour of my life! I could have drank a dozen of these easily they were so tasty. They are made with this Blood Orange infused Bourbon… it was to die for. I passed the drink around for others to try and even those who are not whisky drinkers were impressed! We ordered the crab dip and fried pickles as appetizers. The crab dip was ok. I think I would have liked it better without the grilled pita and instead served with a chip, a cracker, or toasted baguette. The grill flavor on the pita contrasted with the taste of the dip in a way that was not complimentary. The fried pickles, however, were fantastic! I am from Tennessee originally and live in Georgia. We know our fried pickles! These were the best I ever had. Most fried pickles are made from hamburger pickle chips and are done in a flour/cornmeal batter(almost like fried green tomatoes). Not these! These were long thin sliced pickle cuts that were fried in a tempura-like batter and served with a spicy thousand island-like remoulade sauce. They were so good! For dinner, we ordered different pizzas on the menu and split them. We had the jumbo lumb crab, the short rib, and the wild mushroom. They were all excellent. I particularly loved the wild mushroom! The goat cheese and pesto combination was very tasty. The horseradish and gorgonzola mixture on the short rib was also a wonderful combination. And if you don’t like the truffle cream on that crab pizza, then you are crazy! All in all, I would recommend Brick and Brew. It is a small place, so come early to find a seat!

I went here with my boyfriend on a Friday night in the dead of winter when we had recently moved to the area. It was later in the evening and we were looking for someplace we could enjoy a meal and few drinks without being kicked out at 11pm. We definitely found what we were looking for at Brick & Brew! The space is quite small, which is probably the only negative. It looks like an old firehouse/lodge, with bar seating in the front and the back and tables in between. The back bar offers views of the wood-fire pizza ovens where you can watch the chefs. The wait was over an hour for a table, but luckily a couple was just leaving at the front bar so we slid right in. We had vodka sodas– so I can’t comment on the beer, however the food was surprisingly really good! We had calamari to start and then split a pizza and sliders. The food was better than regular bar fare for sure, but doesn’t get too adventurous with the menu. The ambience definitely is what leads to repeat customers. The bartenders are super friendly and everyone is just there for a relaxed good time. It seemed like a lot of young dads just trying to get out for a bit. Definitely recommend going here for a laid back late night!

Baller pizza, appetizers and all their other food. Ridiculous waits on the weekend. Go when it’s nice or be prepared to wait in the cold. Interesting environment: cool, rustic and relaxed. Check out the specials they’re amazing. Killer & Beer selection is solid and ever-changing. Reasonable prices for the quality of food and drink. Eats are well worth the wait. Waiting in line for the bathroom you will: there’s only one.

Found this gem as I was scrolling through Unilocal looking for something new to try near me. Only a 20 minute drive(and they’re opening in Media in June/July)! Went with my husband around 630pm on a Saturday. Wait was only 20 minutes so we sat at the bar until our table was ready. Atmosphere: small and cute. Love the décor. Outdoor seating during warm weather. Gets crowded and loud but I didn’t mind at all. Seems like you can expect to wait but can kill time(even order food) at the bar while you do. Drinks: We had whiskey sours, an old fashioned and the speakeasy. The whiskey sour and speakeasy are definitely as delicious as everyone describes. Order them! Appetizer: we split the Confit Wings. Amazing flavor, too spicy for me but my husband ate all of the ones that I couldn’t. Entrée: we split the short rib grilled cheese. Seriously delicious. The jalapeño jam on it is not too spicy at all and adds a great flavor. The homemade ketchup is very unique and yummy as well. Dessert: my husband had the fried cheesecake, which he enjoyed. I ordered the cookie and I’m telling you it’s the best dessert I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever. Get. The. Cookie.(Save room for it!!!) I can’t wait to come back here because everything sounds so delicious that I want to try it all! Even the specials(a ramen burger with bacon and fried egg?! Jalapeño mac & cheese bites?!) were difficult to say no to.

I came here on a Saturday night with a cousin of mine and his family. They live a few minutes away and have been raving about this place for awhile. Every so often I’d get a pix message of the weekly specials and get jealous. Well, I finally got to see what this place was all about … … and it did not disappoint at all. Man, this place is awesome. We waited for about an hour to get seated, and we put our name in around 6pm. They had an excellent list of drafts and mixed drinks for while we waited, and the prices were great. I suggest the«Darby Road» if you’ve never had it. Refreshing and delicious. My little cousin was starving and we asked the hostess if we could get an order of fries. We were seated shortly after, and the fries were there waiting for us. For a small, crowded place they really had a handle on it. Kudos. As for the food … this is next level bar food. The hand-cut fries and the homemade ketchup are absolutely delicious. We ordered just about all of the appetizers and they were fantastic. Weekly special wings, a deliciously light pretzel with some weird but tasty mustard, a veggie flatbread, and a margherita pizza. Everything was great. We primarily got sandwiches for dinner, and I got to taste the bison sliders, the crab«PLT», and the pulled pork. If I wasn’t so full from the appetizers I could have easily eaten an entire sandwich of each. I absolutely loved all three. We also got each of the four desserts that they offer and the Nutella cookie was definitely the highlight. It is an absolute MUST to get that dessert if you’re coming here for food. I cannot stress this enough. In fact, I think the incredible fried cheesecake gets a raw deal having to compete with this cookie — it would be an absolute star on any other dessert menu.

A solid 4.5 with the only real flaw being that the small space does make dining kind of cramped together. But between the solid beer list, interesting cocktails, amicable cheese/charcuterie offerings, wood fired pizzas, and a well rounded food menu Brick & Brew definitely has enough on its plate to make it a solid dinner & drink destination. During the two visits I’ve had I’ve been treated to service that went above and beyond and provided spot on recommendations. I’ve also savored incredible brews like Southern Tier’s Crème Brulee Stout, and 21st Amendment’s He Said Belgian Tripel from their impressive rotating list of craft drafts. With a well rounded menu that touts plenty of pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and then some its pretty tricky to choose what to order at times. But so far I’ve enjoyed the following: Deviled Eggs — with a spicy avocado crema and a grilled shrimp on top these definitely aren’t the deviled eggs that you grew up with. While most bold ingredients can succeed at ruining such a simple dish, these deliver! Crab Dip — the cheddar and chive infused crab dip is so addicting that you might find yourself contemplating licking the bowl with little shame after you run out of grilled pita bread squares. Sausage, Potato, & Egg Pizza — one of their many diverse pizza selections that deluiver upon bold flavors and ingredients, especially with the fontina cheese and cremini mushrooms that accompany the big three ingredients. The only real flaw I found was the execution of the over easy egg largely being placed on one slice as opposed to the center of the pie. So instead of having the yolk ooze with perfection, it just took up the space of one single slice. Bison sliders — compared to regular sized burgers, most sliders just aren’t usually that inspiring. But with goat cheese spread, caramelized onions, and whisky cranberry barbecue sauce sitting atop perfectly cooked bison patties; these managed to rival most regular sized burgers! With plenty of rotating drafts, a menu that adds on plenty of intriguing specials and regular items that change with the season, and a second location coming to Media in the not too distant future; Brick & Brew is just one of those elevated neighborhood bars that have you coming back for more!

I have been here at least 3 times, and I haven’t been impressed with any of my visits. It’s a great idea — and I love that there’s an option for craft beers and food in havertown, but I just don’t get what the hype is about the place. I hear from so many people that they love it here. I’ve had the pizza and a burger and some appetizers, the food is just okay and it’s a super tiny space. I always see people eating outside and the inside is always packed, so many I’ve just had a few«off» visits. I’ll definitely give them another try, but I’m not dying to go back there anytime super soon.

I had a great time here on a date. The staff was friendly. It was a little chilly and they let us stay in our original seats until we could get inside. Outside and inside, the waiter/waitresses we had were attentive and nice. The food was definitely good. We had a couple starters/specials: the honey cranberry wings(very tender – best wings I’ve had in a while) and the crab dip w/pita chips(soooo good). My date liked his burger and fries. I also had stuffed potato skins(they came out lukewarm; probably the only glitch of the night. And they did reheat them, so I can excuse that). The whiskey sour I had was probably the best whiskey drink I’ve had ever. It had cherries in it and tasted kind of like iced tea. It didn’t necessarily taste heavy on the whiskey, but I enjoyed the flavors. Can’t wait to go back and get the pizzas, the lobster mac n’ cheese, the fried cheesecake, fried pickles and an old-fashioned(lol) I live nearby in West Philly, so this will definitely be a go-to spot.

This place remains as a solid dining destination. The only trouble here is that if you are waiting for a table you cannot help but feel like you are constantly in the way. B&B is relatively small and they do their best to cram in as many tables as possible. By now you probably know that the beer selection here is what the Beastie Boys would call as «crafty». The creativity doesn’t stop with the beer menu either. The menu is not very large but at the same time is packed with great choices from the starters to the pizzas and the sandwiches, everything sounds great! I also like their homemade ketchup, the water bottles on the table and the usage of cigar boxes for the check. It’s the little things that make this place a Havertown gem!
