If you’re in the market for a new Mercedes, I highly recommend Smith Motors. I had a pleasant and easy experience here, and most importantly, got an incredible deal. I had emailed a few dealerships in Massachusetts for quotes on a GLA 250, and by far, Smith was the lowest. Not to mention they threw in a bunch of extras, included tax and fees in my quote, and had the exact car waiting for me on my visit. Everything was transparent and they kept their word on price. And no pressure to get any extras I didn’t want. Within days the car was ready for me and all inspected and ready to go. I will absolutely be back for my next car and have been telling everyone I know to go there! Thanks Matt and Loren!

Decided to try this dealership because I just retired and they were closer to my home. I have an extended warranty on my ’09 C300. They flat out told me they do not accept any extended warranties PERIOD. Called my original dealership In Boston and they have no problem with extended warranties. My advise to anyone buying a car from Smith Motors in Haverhill is, if you love your Mercedes and want to keep it past the normal warranty beware! They will make you buy an inflated warranty through Mercedes if you have problems with your car. I’m sticking with my original dealer.

I just dealt with Brockton, he couldn’t of been more helpful and more of a pleasure to work with. He went out of his way to try and accommodate my needs.

Service, what is that… So I recently purchased a new Mercedes, upon preparing for a trip to Florida we had blown fuses for the 12v outlets meaning we would not be able to charge phones during our 1500 mile drive. We are new to the area and had 2 delaers to hoose from Smith or Holloways in Greenland. I called service around 3:30 and asked if I were there in 10 minutes would they be willing to help me. the basic response was that they would not Techs leave at 4 and that is that. I expalined my situation and they said to call Roadsie service, well roadside service only does fuel, tires and jumpstarts. Essentially the service manager wanted me off the phone and wasn’t willing to help in anyway as well he gave me what he knew was incorrect info. I then called Holloway, which was out of my way but getting this corrected was critical to me, they asked I rush there and they would do all that they could. They stayed late unpacked and repacked the car and had me on the road at 5:30. So although Smith is closer and more convenient to my office, it is safe to say that I will not be spending .01 there ever. which is too bad as I am good for a new car every 9 – 15 months either for me or my wife. Sad example of service, a total lack of desire to help or even try to help, Holloway has earned a customer, not through price but service and desire!

I love Smith Motors. I am on my 3^rd Mercedes I have purchased here. Our salesperson Brockton is always a pleasure to work with and has gone above and beyond to help us find the right cars for us. Lauren in Finance is wonderful, and all of the people in the service department are extremely pleasant and accommodating to deal with. OF COURSE you are not going to find the cheapest prices getting your car serviced here. It’s Mercedes!!! I personally am willing to pay a little more to service my car here than going to Joe Neighborhood Mechanic because I want to make sure my expensive investment is serviced right! Kudos to Smith!

I can’t believe I am the first to write a review for Smith…
If you are thinking about a Mercedes, you are completely wasting your time at the Herb Chambers (think Market Basket deli counter on a Saturday) and go straight to Smith in Haverhill (think neighborhood Italian Deli in the North End). If you want to be treated like just a number, then Market Basket is the perfect place for you. If you want to feel like your business is appreciated, where service counts, AND you want a phenomenal deal then you need to run to Smith! Buying a Mercedes is a special experience, and you should be treated as such. Herb Chambers (Flagship) makes you feel like you are waiting for a pound of ham and that you should feel honored they let you in to their dealership. Waiting to find a salesperson is enough to turn most people off and leave, but for some reason thy stick around to be treated like cattle.
Smith offers OUTSTANDING customer service and attention to detail. Not only did they beat the $h!t out of Herb Chambers (Flagship) pricing, they completely outdid themselves with a quick, effecient and friendly buying experience. No hassle, no pressure, nothing. In and out in 1 hour.
I have been leasing cars for 20 years for my wife and me, and this was, BY FAR, the most enjoyable car buying experience ever.

Purchased my E320 from Smith and had work done but always felt that I was being taken advantage of. Recently they quoted $ 540 to replace my mass air filter. Did some research on Ebay and found out how little the part cost. Took car to Marc’s in Wakefield and had the work done for $ 120. Today I had my car at Smith’s as the rear window would not go up. I was charged $ 384 of which $ 228 was labor. Total time spent at the dealership was 1 hour and four minutes. When I complained about the labor charge, I was told that the book rate for the job was 2 hours @ $ 114 per hour. I would pay the book rate no matter how long it took as long as it didn’t exceed 2 hours. I’m not sure who determines «book rate» at the dealership but it is obviously someone who knows nothing about fair value for work performed. I will discourage anyone and everyone from from ever having service work done at this dealership. I was also quoted $ 1200 for a 100,000 mile tuneup by the same dealer. I can be e-​mailed at
