Lydia Zuser, MD

Recently, I needed a new PCP and Dr Zuser came highly recommended. She is very knowledgeable and caring. Actually, I have never met another PCP that is so empathetic and compassionate about their patients needs. I made a great choice and hope my husband switches over to her as well!

Dr. Zuser is a rarity in modern medicine. Far too often, physicians have so many patients in their care and don’t take the time to get to know the people. Dr. Zuser does. She listens, and she genuinely cares. If things don’t work out with one specialist, she’s the first to suggest another. When I’ve had a question about test results, she’s called me personally to discuss it with me. I appreciate the early morning sick hours too if you need to be seen but don’t have an appointment, and the office staff are usually friendly. Her office is also very conveniently located for me.

I had this doctor but unfortunately she put me on a medicine that wasn’t even appropriate for my condition and I’ve been told by a Boston doctor that I will be paying for her mistake for a while.

I’ve been going to Dr. Zuser for many years now, and even though I moved away, I continue to keep going back to her since we have a good history now.
Thumbs Up:
–Very caring and personable. She’s a great listener and really cares about her patients.
–Dr. Zuser recommended me to a specialist who didn’t really help me very much, so she sent me to a second specialist that was much more helpful and eventually solved my medical problem through elective surgery.
–New office! They moved upstairs in the same building and now have a larger space (more exam rooms, and more waiting space.)
–It’s incredibly convenient to have her office right next to the hospital b/​c usually if I need some kind of test or lab work done, I only have to walk across the parking lot to have it done, and never have to wait long for the test.
Thumbs Down:
–Never remembers/​always prescribes me the one medicine that makes my stomach upset.
–She used to have an assistant who always called me honey and sweetie, which I thought was inappropriate. But she seems to be gone now.
