I went last night with 3 of my gal pals. We’re good sports & got into the haunted hayride & the haunted cornmaze. Granted probably not the scariest experience it could have been, but it did the job & we had a good time. The hayride a little less so & was more goofy than scary. The cornmaze definitely had more than a scare or two. Between the general we’re lost feeling, costumed ghouls popping out & some of them following you a bit(and the good old fashioned no chain, chainsaws,) we were sufficiently scared. The only thing I was a little irritiated with was they seemed to be surprised that someone would show up after 9 even though their hours(on their website & I called ahead) were until 11pm. One of the employees on the hayride even whispered to the two actors that spooked us that we were the last group. Kind of took away from it a bit & made me feel like we were a pain. eh… Other than that a good time!

Its sunday morning. the morning after driving 90 minutes roundtrip to the haunted corn maze with 5 of my friends(30 and up(probaby 35+ and up but the females will dispute that age assumption) We drove up and arrived(quite windy night and a bright moon raised my hopes for a scare) Waited in a quick 15 min line to get tickets just for the haunted maze, as the register lady said to pass on the haunted hayride as it was more for the kids. We agreed and bought tickets just for the maze. We then waited outside in line for about 45 watching tractor after tractor pick people up.(and listening the tools from Lowell try to impress their gfs by how much they drank the night before) We eventually got on a tractor with real hay and took the ride thru a farm and up the hill and got dropped off for another line and waited for another 30 minutes. There they let people in 2 at a time to 6 at a time. It was very slow.(especially when 2 people went inat a time, they should do bigger groups) We eventually all 6 went into the maze and made our way about(15 minutes?) There were only 2 good scares and you could see numerous areas for people where they cut the corn for them to hide to scare you. We went through 2 «scary“tunnels(nothing more than dark with sometight passages and exited the corn maze… It was a giant dissapointment, GIANT. You could tell that there were supposed to be more people to scare you but we only saw 2 people ready to scare us. We saw some people walking around but nothing more. Save your money… and bring a warm coat because after exiting the maze you had to wait another 20 – 30 minutes for them to come pick you up after you exited the maze. The haunted ship in quincy was a 10 this was a 1 at best. Big waste of time.

Please note that this review is for the Haunted Corn Maze, I haven’t been to the regular one. To sum it up: skip it. Some friends and I(all in our early 20’s) decided it would be kind of fun to try this, we weren’t expecting anything super scary, but at least some jumps. For $ 12(no discounts honored) you take a «haunted» «hayride» to get to the start of the maze. Which means you sit on benches on a trailer on the back of a tractor and go up a hill. No hay and certainly no haunting. Which was definitely a missed opportunity, since it would have been a great time to get in some early scares. At the top of the hill everyone disembarks and is sent into the«maze» in their individual groups. There were a couple semi-jumpy parts(literally 2), but definitely not worth it. We were through the maze in about 15 minutes and encountered probably 3 – 4 «scarers», the rest of the time(12+ minutes) was just walking through the«maze»(which understandably was more of a windy trail for safety reasons). There were some dark tunnels you had to walk through, which were intriguing, but again, not scary. At the end the rest of the groups shared in our disappointment(ages ranging from 15 – 30). The hayride guy said there should have been 17+ people in there scaring, which certainly wasn’t the case. I don’t know where they were, but they definitely weren’t in the maze. Allegedly it should take 25 minutes to walk through it but you’d likely have to be walking backwards to manage that. At best this was less than a half-assed attempt at a haunted corn maze. If you have younger children(8 – 15) then this may be fun, but everyone else don’t bother. I know my group regrets making the trip from Boston and spending $ 72.
