Angelina’s Subs & Pizza

This location of Angelina’s Subs & Pizza (formerly Broadway Deli & Variety) near the Haverhill/​Methuen line doubles up as a takeout pizza place and convenience & package store.
The place inside is pretty old school with a full service food/​deli counter (open kitchen) and offering the typical convenience store items including cold drinks, beer, wine, snacks, cigarettes, and Mass Lottery tickets including Cash WinFall, Mega Millions, Keno (live monitor in the store), and Powerball too!
Angelina’s is geared towards takeout (one table in the store) and serves up Italian style pizza, hot & cold subs, pasta dinners, seafood, chicken, steak tips, and finger foods. Trays and platters available, Patriots specials (pizza & beer), and great «order by number» specials are offered.
I stopped here for dinner takeout and ordered two «order by number» specials. I got a Number 2 ($ 4.50): Ziti & Meatballs and a Number 9 ($ 4.20): 2 Cheese Pizza Slices and Fries. The food was ready quickly.
The pizza was pretty good which was a good thin chewy crust, tasty sauce, and cheese. I didn’t care for the fries though, which were fried golden with a rough texture. The ziti & meatballs were very good, which had 4 soft meatballs, al dente ziti with lines, and a rich hearty and thick tomato sauce. I would definitely order this again.
The parking is a bit tight.
