I dropped off my 2008 Smart Fortwo at this establishment yesterday, 6÷23÷15. I had a check engine light on and had already taken the car to Oreillys to get the codes read. They really didn’t bring up much in the computer so I was told to go to a shop if the codes came back up. They did and that’s when I arrived at Community Auto. Upon arriving I met a bunch of the staff and they took my keys, and sent me on my way. On my way out I spoke to the guys actually taking my car away and asked him«you guys are going to call me as soon as you know the price right?» He says yes. 3 ½ hours later, I get a call from the guy at the counter saying that the actual problem is a $ 425 issue, but just for the diagnostic it will be $ 75 before I can get my car back. I am furious because as a college student working part time I don’t have $ 75. If I had been told up front that it was $ 75, I would have WAITED until I had $ 75. Now this auto repair center will not give me my car back or respect the fact that THEY messed up by not giving me the price up front. I am disgusted with the customer service of whatever woman I spoke to as of the morning of 6÷24÷15 and urge everyone to stay away.

I have dealt with Dave at community auto a couple of times. he works fast and is fair and honest about work and prices. I would highly recommend community auto. Dave is one of the good guys we all know there’s a lot of shady mechanics around here.
