Our waiter was Mark and he was absolutely amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection. I had the jalapeño steak with a sweet potatoe casserole both were exceptional!!!

I have been there twice in the last couple of months. The first time to me the food was old and over seasoned. So I wasn’t going to say anything but I went last night an it was the same way. Everything was over seasoned an they tried to make my friend pay 20 $ for a filet that was smaller then the patty on a mugshots burger. The serves was great just the food is going down hill.

LongHorn in Hattiesburg, MS ~ The wait staff was friendly, a little slow, but okay. The food was fresh, tasty and well seasoned. The meal was reasonably priced, iced tea for $ 2.00 a glass just seemed silly though. It was good, we will be back(and have water!)

The prime rib awesome! But had the 18 oz. Ribeye today. Had to get a go box. Best steak in town!

I have never had a bad meal here. The steaks are well cooked and tasty, if not highly seasoned. The sides are good, and the drink list is extensive and should have something for everyone. Dinner prices are about par for steakhouses, but lunch prices are a bit high. Serving sizes are also only average. Overall, though, a very good choice when you’re in the mood for steak.

If I had the funds, I might just eat here every week. The service is great, the food is consistently exceptional. I love that the servers accommodate seating preferences without batting an eye. I could eat the strawberry & pecan salad every day. This would be the salad I would want with my last meal, but with ranch dressing. Delicious! My regular order is the Renegade steak with mashed potatoes. SO good. The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer is great, but sometimes there’s a lot of seasoning on the chips that makes them a bit salty.

I had a good experience here. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. Great customer service. I ordered the 20oz Porterhouse medium rare and it came a bit more rare than I think most could stomach(and definitely more rare than I asked) but the flavor was spot on though and despite the temperature variance, was awesome. All in all it wasn’t so bad. I enjoyed it.

Longhorn gets four instead of five just because the primary entrée wasn’t necessarily great. Our waiter was great and the food came quick. Longhorn is an excellent standby if Outback is unavailable.

Very impressed. very nice atmosphere. food was great. went Friday afternoon. Dixie was our server. She has been the best server w have had since we’ve had a child. She brought the kids plate first. and everything she brought to the table, she placed well out of his reach. She«aced» the toddler test! She was friendly and courteous. She made sure we immediately had a high chair and crackers on the table. Dixie is super fast super friendly and super thoughtful. She made this a true 5 stat rating!

Not a bad place — if I could give 3.5 I would. This place is a cut above most chain restaurants in all categories, but nothing that really stood out and made me say wow. Had the NY Strip with mixed veggies both of which were very nice, and another highlight was the quite ambiance(it was a Tuesday though). Will definitely go back when I’m back in town but wouldn’t make a special trip for it.

This place was alright. The steaks has good flavor with their dry-rub. My biggest gripe was a steakhouse should have USDA Prime and not USDA Choice meats. Choice is regular meat you can purchase in a grocery store. I’m sure without the rub, the meat would have been tasteless. I was told it was a Southern steakhouse chain too. On the other hand, the service was great and friendly.

I hate to update in a bad way, but I’ll give this advice — don’t go to Long Horn on typically busy nights(weekends). My spouse ordered an Outlaw Ribeye, which is always good he says. I order the 14 ounce New York Strip — medium well — which is normally excellent, but it was awful this weekend. Stringy, riddled with tough gristle, and one half was nearly rare while the other was well well well done. Our waitress was as wonderful as she could be considering the ridiculously demanding large(and LOUD) party at a nearby table she was also waiting on, though.

Soooooooooooooo, you haven’t had a steak until you’ve eaten at Longhorn. Their steaks are brought in FRESH daily! That means nothing is frozen and it shows! I had their prime rib and fillet mignon and probably didn’t even need a knife to cut through because of how tender they were and how they melt in your mouth. The service was good and when I make my way back to Mississippi I’ll be stopping by again!

The steak was seasoned well. The 7 oz just fit me perfectly. The sweet potato with cinnamon was delish as well as the rice. The waitress was really helpful about my butter allergy. The service was fast & really good. The price was well worth it. Overall, I was happy. Now, if they would offer more low fat options that would be good. But that’s an oxymoron since this is a steakhouse.

When I think of high quality Rib Eye or Prime Rib, I generally don’t think of «franchise» dining but Longhorn Steakhouses provide choice cuts and healthy servings at an affordable price. I was first introduced to LS by my God brother Jon H. When he and his unit returned from a tour in Iraq. When Jon returned, like most servicemen, we wanted to celebrate the event with a thick juicy steak with all the trimmings. Fortunate for me, part of Jon’s return required him to stop a spend a few weeks in the Great State of Mississippi. Fifteen minutes north on hwy 49 we found a 14 oz. Texas cut Prime Rib served with loaded, garlic mash potatoes and a salad. While it was offered with au jus or a red wine mushroom bordelaise sauce, I preferred to have mine«Vegas Style»(dry rubbed, flame broiled with a side of horseradish sauce) Jon had the 12 oz. Ribeye cooked to perfection. In college, Jon was never one to finish his meal but much like when I came home, your first meal in the«real world» is the culmination of a rite of passage and is each bite is savored and a reminder of all the sacrifices you made while you were away. When I was taking him back to the base, we ran into a bunch of his friends from the unit and 5 hours later we were back to have our second serving of side of cow. This time Jon and I were joined by 5 of his steak starved buddies and we sampled everything from the 16 oz Texas T Bone, Baby Back Ribs smothered in a homemade BBQ sauce and my personal favorite, the Big Sky Bleu Filet. This filet is crusted with a bleu cheese crumble and served atop a bed of red wine glazed portabella mushrooms. Maybe it was because these guys had just returned from Iraq but for some reasons the drinks from the bar seemed to taste more like double shots of alcohol than I am used to being served. We also appreciated how several rounds mysteriously disappeared off the tab at the end of the night. You would have thought my hour drive north to LS would have ended on that night, but lucky for me my God brother had two weeks of training to finish here in MS before he went home to sunny San Diego. This time I was running late when I met him and 10 of his recent class graduates sitting around a table with steak and rib bones laying in disarray. From the smiles and satisfaction on their faces you would have never thought that they had just spent the last 10 days out in 90+ degree weather training for war. If you not in the mood to an entire cow, you can always order from their«lunch steak» menu. Yes they have chicken but like my uncle used to say, you don’t go to a whore house looking for salvation. I was sad to see my God brother leave today but I was glad that I was able to find them a great steakhouse to help welcome them home. Semper Fi!!!
