Horrible hotel! Rooms are unclean. Wifi is nonexistent and desk clerk is worthless. If you are Hattiesburg for work do not waste your time at this hotel. I will NEVER stay here again. I go zero work done in my hotel due to the poor wifi connection. Update: Morning 2… no juice in the dining hall and the food is disgusting.

Well… it’s not the worst I’ve checked into in my years traveling… the welcoming committee is kind of quiet… he might be dead. Not sure… I posted the photo. Hopefully no one will try to pin his death on me. It’s only for a night… hopefully his buddies will not seek revenge. Will update in the morning.

For the positives … This was the last night of our long vacation. The BEST breakfast we had on the entire trip. There was sausage, eggs — boiled and cooked, bacon, potatoes and much more! The bed was pretty good, too. The cook was nice. It was the least expensive room of our entire vacation. For the negatives … the cook was eating when we arrived for breakfast right over the food and then her family came in to eat and … I do not believe they were staying there. One was dressed to the hilt with a hat and everything and the other had on a long night gown with a long t-shirt over it, not too appetizing. Ugh… The room had terrible problems on the ceiling, wish I had taken a pic. There were three areas of damage, two did not look like they were even tried to be repaired and the other was repaired very badly. When I got out of the shower to dry off with my ‘clean’ towel, a huge hair wad fell out of it! Again, I should have taken a pic.

Room was comfortable. Breakfast was better than average. Staff friendly. I was pleasantly surprised for the price.

See the pictures I posted. When we checked in, there were cobwebs and bugs on the wall, and there was hair all in the bathroom; on the floor, the sink, the toilet, and the tub. Housekeeping got upset when they were asked to clean the room. That’s their job! I asked for sheets for the sofa bed, and I got 8 pillow cases… eventually. I had to convince the front desk clerk to walk away from the front desk to get me the sheets. At first, she just said that she couldn’t do anything for me. When my wife turned the TV on and it didn’t work, we packed up and went home. I WILL be getting a refund on this debacle. I’ve never seen a dirtier hotel than the Clarion Inn of Hattiesburg MS.(MS140)
