I’ve been taking my cars to Greg for years and have always come away feeling like I received great, honest and competent service. I’ve tried other shops in the area but have always felt like I could get better service at a more reasonable price with Greg.

Greg is an incredible mechanic and a honest person. I had a horrible experience with another shop in Murphys, spent hundreds of dollars, and Greg demonstrated more knowledge and genuine honesty n kindness in 10 min then the Car Doctor in murphys after having my car for multiple days without getting it running. Greg simply had such a good understanding of my f250 that even though he was slammed gave me a logical approach to fixing n I was able to go home n fix myself after cd couldn’t figure it out. I tried to pay him 20 $ for spending 15 min with me he was slammed and he wouldn’t take my money. Don’t hold him to that ;) he deserves to charge for his diagnostic time cause it’s real.
& I only called him because of other Unilocal reviews. I wish I would have went there first. I’m gonna go get him a case of cold beer for making my life easier.

I can’t say enough good things about Greg and his work. He is an excellent mechanic, delivers work on time and always at a fair price. Her has worked on all our vehicles for the past seven or eight years, from a new Subaru to an old GMC pickup, and including a Toyota Van. He helps us avoid unnecessary work, charges a fair rate for excellent quality work. He gets booked ahead, so plan ahead. A good man.

Greg was fantastic! I am pretty new to the area and had asked multiple people where I should take my Subaru. Greg was reccommended pretty much across the board. He checked out my brakes (which was the main reason I went in), inspected my cooling system (my boyfriend had replaced the thermostat at home, so just wanted to make sure we’re good to go) and did a routine oil change. The price was super affordable (less than what I had prepared for), and he gave me fantastic advice. Let me know I didn’t have to take care of the brakes now, but to start saving up. He was straightforward and extremely fair. If I ever need anything done with my car, I would absolutely take it back to Greg!

Greg checked out my van for free when it started smoking as I was going up highway 4 on my long long road trip. He was slammed so he couldn’t do more than take a quick look, but he gave me good advice and pointed me in the right direction.

Greg is the best in the county… especially if you have a Subaru! Is pricing for service is more than fair. He really cares and checks out everything. He is able to tell you what you’ll need and when you will need it.

Greg is fair, knowledgeable, and well priced. We only trust him. He is great.

I love this place. As a former mechanic, I’m pretty suspicious of many repair shops. I like and trust Greg, enjoy hanging out in the shop, and feel completely confident that my vehicles will be well taken care of. If you need repair or service in this part of the world, Greg’s your man.

This place is awesome! Greg is fast, very good at repair, doesn’t «find» unnecessary things to fix, and it never breaks my bank account to come here. Highly recommended if you’re up near this corner of the woods in the Sierra’s.
