Worst non-Dining Experience ever. Made reservations for 12 one month in advance for Feb 13th at 7:00pm. Our family wanted to celebrate Valentine’s day together, as our brother was in from out of State. What an embarrassment. Arrived on time, no table. Stood in the doorway for 15 minutes, then told we had to go next door. Stood in that door way for 45 minutes, while the other table for 12 finished their dinners. They knew what was going on and one member apologized to us on their way out, even though it wasn’t their fault. Finally seated, no apologies from staff, table hastily set, half of us have silverware, the other half doesn’t. Waiter comes and opens half of the wine bottles and leaves. No glasses to drink it out of. Other bottles not even opened. Bread comes out 15 minutes later, still not everyone has a knife and we have to share to spread the butter. Orders finally taken, 20 minutes later, soup & salad come out, no one was impressed with the lobster bisque, but at least it was something(it was 9:00 by then). Meanwhile, couples walking in, being seated, having entrée’s served, we’re still sitting there with no explanation, maybe a few appetizers on the house would have been an nice gesture at this point? Finally at 9:45 one of our party asked about our dinners and was told that there were still a table ahead of us. That was it., no apologies. At 10:00 we got up and walked out and the waiter mumbled a «sorry, and walked away. Came back to our house and ordered pizzas. If they could not accommodate 12 people, they should have said so. Obviously we’re never going back and will make sure to spread the word of how rudely we were treated at Pasta Fazool.

Excellent!!! I was pleased with the customer service and friendliness when I ordered to go. It was ready in fifteen minutes as they said, and the meal was phenomenal. I had fried calamari and shrimp scampi cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back.

Ate here with my mother on Christmas day. The Calamari was excellent! The Asparagus Rolatini was amazing. My mother had the special with copious amounts of Lobster Ravioli, Lobster tail, and Scallops. The desserts were also fantastic. The service was spot on. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went here for my birthday. It’s a hidden gem. Don’t under estimate the way it looks from the outside. The food and the staff were wonderful. We didn’t get dessert because I had a birthday cake waiting at home. But, our waitress Kirah gave us a Canolli to take home, boy that was best Canolli I ever had. Seriously! The only complaint would be the table for two by the register, it’s really small with no privacy. Other than that, it was excellent. I would recommend reservations because it fills up quick. We will definitely be back!!!

I couldn’t decide between 4 and 5 stars. But I decided that for what this restaurant attempts to be — a great neighborhood restaurant — it deserves 5 stars I have passed this place dozens of times on my way to the PA Turnpike. I should have stopped in years ago! Pasta Fazool reminded me of some of the small restaurants you find in Brooklyn neighborhoods. The restaurant is a bit cramped and it can be a bit noisy(but our party of four was the loudest of all). The service was impeccable. By that I mean it was friendly, well-paced and relaxed. There was no rush to order or to finish our meal. Shared appetizers were excellent(Mussels in white sauce with lots of garlic, Caesar salad). The bread(one of my personal measures of a good restaurant) was crusty, warm, wonderful and generously served. Our main courses(grouper special, clams & pasta, shrimp & pasta, eggplant) were delicious. We were too full to attempt dessert. Pasta Fazool is a BYOB. Dinner with a generous tip was less than $ 30 per person. We will be back!

My Aunt suggested Pasta Fazool to me and my wife when we first moved to Willow Grove and boy am I glad she did! Pasta Fazool knows how to do it right. Every meal has been fantastic and they always seem to have specials, so there is always something new to try. Whenever friends from out of town come to visit, this is the place we take them for a meal. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place!

Wonderful meal, even more wonderful service!!! Everyone at our table was happy with their meals. I will say though, the fried mozzarella balls were the hit of the night! They were amazing as was the sauce that topped them!!! We decided when we go back, and we will go back, that dinner will be the mozzarella appetizer and bread… that was delicious as well! As for the service, our waitress was WONDERFUL and very helpful with her suggestions. Ciara was attentive without being overbearing. The only reason I’m not giving this restaurant 5 stars is because the tables were a bit cramped. Next time we go, we’ll request a booth. Overall, great dining experience! We’ll recommend this and we’ll go back for sure!

I was excited to check this place out as I just moved to the area and love Italian food. Not to mention it’s BYOB! The eggplant appetizer was amazing. We also had the asparagus wrapped in proscuttio appetizer. It was good, but the center of the asparagus was cold! That’s an amateur mistake. Note: both appetizers we tried only had two pieces, so if you have a group it won’t be enough. Favorite thing about Pasta Fazool– they make a great red sauce. Not too thick, not too thin, and packed with flavor. I had the penne vodka entrée which was pretty good but nothing particularly memorable. My boyfriend had the lasagna, which he enjoyed, but the sausage was subpar and the meatball decent, but not great. Customer service needs improvement. When we first arrived, we stood at the front for 5 minutes as one lady bussed tables and did not acknowledge us. I realize it wasn’t her job to seat us, but she could have said«hello, one moment» or grabbed someone who could assist us in her 3 separate runs to the kitchen while we were standing there. Right away, it was an unwelcoming vibe. Luckily, the server appeared shortly afterward and seated us with a smile. He was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, enjoyment only decreased as the night progressed. We received our main entrées around 8:40(the placed closes at 9) and there were a few other tables left. The same lady that ignored us when we first walked in was running around the restaurant like a chicken with her head cut off turning tables for the next day. She made the environent stressful and unenjoyable. It made me anxious and completely ruined what started out as a relaxing meal. My boyfriend is a very chill guy and even he agreed with me. The clean dishes area was right next to our table, and she was so loudly gathering silverware I could barely hold conversation. We may as well have been eating in the kitchen. At 9:00 on the dot(closing time) she aggressively came up to our table and took unfinished plates without asking(so much for leftovers). She turned to me and said«You’re done with this right?!» I was still chewing. I wasn’t done, but I said«Well I guess I am now.» She took the plate without hesitation. It was very obvious she wanted to leave, and wanted us the hell out of there too. Our waiter came back and offered dessert, which was almost comical at this point. We declined and asked for the check. Having just moved from center city to the suburbs, there aren’t as many restaurants in the area and I think I wanted to like this place more than I did. But I’m not ready to write it off completely. I’ll have to check it out again, but next time, NOT near closing!

After hearing good reviews from a couple of officemates, i decided to try the place too. Resto claims they have old school cooking unfortunately, i found the taste too bland and a bit strange for me… — eggplant farmigiana had fishy taste. i just couldnt finish my plate. — cavatelli brocolli was very bland… attempted to add some parmesan cheese that came with the complementary bread but still did not get satisfied with the taste. — customer service needs improvement. 1st no drink list was offered and then server comes asking what drink i wanted to order, those assisting the server also grabbed my plate without even asking if i was already done with my food, she just went ahead and grabbed my plate, the server never even came back to our table to ask how our food was, and after they quickly grabbed the plates from the table server did not even stop by to offer us desert. Really felt i was not valued as a customer. i almost left no tip at all but just still left some 12% for the effort they put in cooking the food(which i was not even satisfied with). experience at this place so not good. if only i can rate it at «0 stars». i dont think i’ll be back here. i do not recommend this place.

This has to be one of the most under appreciated Italian restaurants in the area. An outstanding meal and a great wait staff. I do love and appreciate when a manager or owner comes to the table to ask how everything is. This is a great little place to bring family and friends, along with a couple bottles of wine. Good times will always follow.

OMG! OMG! OMG! If you want great authentic Italian Food, Stupendous Service and to feel like you’re being treated like family, then this is the place to go! Nico, the Owner, Maitre D and waiter treats you like family. Food is served promptly and tastes amazing. I’ve been here several times, mostly for dinner, and once for lunch. Each time is as good as the last! From the appetizers to dessert — fantastic! A word of caution — Make a «RESERVATION.» Particularly on a Saturday night. It has become very popular, and unfortunately, some may be turned away. If you have to go out of your way to get here, do it. Highly, highly recommended!

So I stopped here with a friend and to be honest, their eggplant parmesan is so gross. The pasta and sauce was fine but the eggplant was weird and tasted strange. But the portions are pretty big. Their service was great, but the food is overpriced. The pasta fazool is delicious though! I might stop back for the pasta fazool, but anything else I’ll probably steer clear of.

Walked in to see olive oil & freshly grated cheese on each table so I knew this was going to be good. We ordered a mozzarella appetizer, a Caesar salad, penne in vodka sauce with sausage and rigatoni in marinara sauce with meatballs. The bread here goes perfectly with the olive oil. The mozzarella arrived in a plum tomato sauce. It was the best I’ve ever eaten. The salad was big enough for two people. The entrees were enormous and delicious. Our waitress was super attentive and nice. Food came out nice & quick. Reminds me of a South Philly type of restaurant in all the right ways.

Little Italian restaurant in a strip mall. One waiter for all the tables, about a dozen. But the service was still good! Maybe because we were there for a leisurely dinner. Oh well, no complaints! Nice atmosphere, nice menu, nice food, large portions… That’s it!

This place is such a hidden gem! Located in a small, super sketch, side-of-the-road, shopping center– this place was LEGIT. I know authentic Italian when I taste it… I know great service when I receive it… and I got both at Pasta Fazool. Don’t be fooled by the exterior, or the name– the food is excellent and BYO– so bring vino aplenty! :) I was here once before on a bad date a few years ago and then more recently with a friend and both times were outstanding. This we split the arugula salad to start(a menu special) with balsamic, feta, and crisp green apples. I got the pasta carbonara– and the portion was HUGE. The way Italian joints should be. The flavor of the egg, bacon/pancetta and cream were amazing; nice and thick without being overbearing. I definitely had leftovers! My friend got the pasta special which was tortellini with chicken and broccoli and that was very tasty as well. I was a little displeased with our dessert. We ordered a cannoli to split. Instead of bringing us out one, they brought two mini’s– which was thoughtful but we were charged like $ 6.50 for it. The mini’s were the size of my finger– which means small and not worth 6+ dollars. Overall a great place, great service, great food and I’ll be back. highly recommend.

MYFAVORITEPLACE! We come here every Christmas Eve and many times throughout the year. The owner remembers us each and every time(Christmas or not). The food is delicious! My Italian uncle, who is soooooooo picky, said it was the closest thing to home he’s ever had! There are always a bunch of specials, and the fact that it’s BYOB always make the check feel better. The service is awesome and actually helps you make a decision if you’re stuck on what to order– they’ve never lead me astray! Dessert is delicious and they also have homemade liqueurs around the holidays.

I’ve never loved the shopping center where this place is, it always seemed kind of grimy to me — and the name«Pasta Fazool» — hmmm, cute but does not exactly evoke images of delicious homemade food for some reason. But when we were in the area and wanted Italian we checked here and our fellow Unilocalers did not steer us wrong! It’s an adorable little place with an old fashioned feel — red checked table cloths and Sinatra crooning quietly overhead. Our waiter was one of the owners and he was excellent as a server — very personable and fun to chat with but not overbearing or anything. We were brought two nice wine glasses for our BYOB red, a basket of freshly baked Italian bread, a dish of olive oil with good quality yummy black olives artfully arranged in a circle in it and a plate of roasted eggplant in red sauce– all before we ever ordered a thing! We shared a garden salad which was good though maybe a tiny bit overdressed. I had the chicken picatta which had a deep lemony sauce and was very tasty — I also loved my sides of rosemary roasted potatoes and fresh string beans. Hubby had the grouper special which came with scallops and shrimp and he opted for pasta with it and he loved everything even though he said the fish was maybe a little overcooked. We both got dessert — I had profiteroles which I love but rarely see offered — the pastry was done well, crispy and firm and they were filled with homemade chocolate ice cream that was very good though I expected it to be a darker chocolate but it was kind of light. Hubby had the homemade cannoli which he really enjoyed. We ended with complimentary shots of homemade liquor– he had anisette, I had the limoncello — it was too strong for me but very good any way. Decent cappuccinos rounded out a very satisfying meal that we completely enjoyed!

We love the food here, but halfway through our meal on Saturday night, July 13, I went to use the restroom, and discovered both restrooms roped off with a sign that read«restrooms closed, sorry.» When I inquired, I was told that they are waiting for the township to repair the sewer pipe under the shopping center. Really? Then they looked at me like I was crazy when I suggested that we should have been told prior to being seated. There is no excuse for this, and they should be shut down until this problem is resolved. Where do the employees go to use the bathroom? Do they shuttle them to other restaurants in the area? Very bad way to handle things!
