I’ve been to every Impact in the area and on my first trip to this location, I was not impressed. It is much smaller then the other locations and therefore have a smaller stock of items. They have a decent book selection but not a great selection of odd and ends that I look for. I walked out empty-handed. There is ample parking, but the lot is shared with the Produce Junction so it is crazy. It was ok for a smaller thrift store, but I’ll stick to going to the bigger stores in Norristown and Montgomeryville for their great selections.

At one time, Impact was the best thrift store in the area. I would spend an afternoon hitting every thrift store around, but Impact was the one where I was almost guaranteed to find the most, and at the best prices. Around 3 – 4 years ago this changed, and now the opposite is true. Impact’s goods are far more pricer and picked through than the other thrift stores. Of the Impact stores, this is the smallest, and seems to me to have the worst selection of the bunch, and therefore I’ve cut it out of my thrift store rounds. The books are outrageously priced. Everything just feels picked through and expensive, making bargain hunting next to impossible. Quality items are just placed in their silent auction, where you have little chance of snagging it for a worthwhile price. Additionally, in contrast to the other Impact locations, I’ve experienced some rude service on multiple occasions at the front desk. Even if you are ok with Impact’s ridiculous pricing, I would recommend skipping Hatoboro for one of their other three locations.

the impact thrift stores are not at all the way they used to be! for 15 years, i’d been donating and shopping there, and over the years you couldn’t help from establishing a friendly, family-like relationship with the employees and managers there, they were all so very warm, caring and friendly! some, we even went to the same church together. they were especially the reason why people would come back there to donate and shop! plus, they didn’t take for granted your freely given donations, they respected every bit you had to give them, making something affordable for everyone. everything you could give knowing it was for a good cause was considered in some way. but today, impact has lost a very important something. impact thrift stores made the prices on your free donations very affordable to the community! i donated an entire estate of furnishings and goods for that very same reason to them, in knowing that people could buy my mom’s things affordably and walk away appreciating the fact that they were able to afford them. i watched the joy in seeing that. young couples just married, school students, elderly people, collectors and our families use to spend a lot of time there. many stories! today, they are pricing freely given donations way too high! yes, economy might be the blame, but that was the whole point of thrifting it. a community store that gives and help support each other. their success did not come from today. impact thrift stores today seems to have totally dismissed the values that made the organization its success from 15 years ago to now. impact thrift, don’t lose sight of what really matters because the free donations all of these years being given to you can suddenly disappear and given somewherelse. people can no longer afford your prices, and stores like walmart are becoming the more affordable. even the dollar stores! i sincerely hope you’re reconsidering what you’re doing. impact thrift was a really great store, no reason it can’t continue. now, it’s usually emptier from people, comparably!

Just donated a huge heavy dresser that needed to go. They came on schedule. The pickup went smoothly and the guys were competent and nice to my dogs!

This is by far the smallest of the Impact! locations, but it never fails to have some real finds if you’re willing to search through their racks and shelves. Prices are really good, selection even better. I’ll keep coming back!

I don’t often buy from here, as i don’t have the space for the stuff i love, but since i love everything, i guess that’s par for the course… old couches, mod tables, intricately carved dining room chairs… all priced from a few ten-spots to less than 2 benjamins… not sure what your budget level is, but there is something for everyone. Old school dishes are plentiful too. I don’t shop for clothes, so i can’t speak to that. Plenty of parking behind the main drag!

A serious thrift/consigner– I immediately looked up some area stores ever since moving to the area. I don’t know why all of the negativity because I have found GREAT deals here. and I mean GREAT! My boyfriend and I have to furnish out place and found a brand new marble buffet for 400 but would up paying 320 on 20% furniture day which is a great price for brand new marble. We get TONS of compliments on the piece which is probably worth 800. They have great house goods and found the perfect wood table for my doorway lamp for 15 bucks! The staff is for the most part friendly and they also have great jewelry. The clothing is mostly a miss instead of a hit for me so I mostly stick to the jewelry and the house goods.

My least favorite of the three Impact locations. I was expecting great things after my visits to Norristown and North Wales. *Whah whaah* They do have lots of nice brooches. Seriously. They do. But honestly, unless you’re planning to be nearby anyway, skip it and head to one of the other locations.

Man, give Impact some love! I always ALWAYS find something, even if it’s small that I feel really excited about. I grabbed up a ton of comic books for my comic loving friends. A ton of beautiful scarves and vintage pins and necklaces for $ 1 each. An almost brand new Augusten Burroughs book. Beautiful jewelry boxes. Kitschy home stuff. Vintage/amazingly weird clothes. Cheap furniture. Almost always some really amazing sale going on. of course, like every thrift store there are times you go in and it’s hit or miss. things are continually coming in and going out. But I LOVE this place. a definite must to visit if you love thrifting.

VERY dissapointed in this place. Went twice in the last 2 weeks, because the last time i was there was when they first opened up YEARS ago. The pricing is so high, both times I only left with one or two items. Their pricing is more like antiques dealer/consignment shop. I mean $ 20 for a vintage globe? Yes, I know its vintage but I saw the same one at Goodwill for $ 3, and another one at Salvation Army the same week for $ 5. $ 10 for a 1960’s casserole dish? Okay, we know it is 40 yrs old, but these things are at every thrift store you go to for $ 5 or less. I was just really shocked at how high they are, and they never have 50% off sales like the Salvation Army does with their clothing. So I wont be back in this place for awhile!
