You never disappoint! It’s been almost 3 years since I sat down for a beer or two here. Figures I walk in and run into a lovely lady I haven’t seen in years! Always a good time! Love the local mix of people and can always count on something or someone to take my mind off my own BS!!!

Stopped by after a wedding to catch my bf’s friends band finish their set.
While I enjoyed the music, that had nothing to do with the bar itself.
I got mega side eye shade going in, maybe because I was in my wedding guest attire, I was extremely fancy pants in my lil black dress for this local bar — but either way I got major side eye shade for the rest of the night and I’m pretty sure I got brushed past alil harder than I should have on purpose by the local ladies on their way to the bathroom…
Found our friends quick, its not a big joint. Said our hellos, and I made my way to the bar.
The bartender did come to me right away when I stepped up to the bar, I have to give her that. It was crowded and she spotted me right away — but again, I was kind of a stick out being in a fancy outfit. (and other reasons, but I’m so trying NOT to make it about demographics… but I totally just did.)
She got my drinks quickly, didn’t tell me how much my total was… just stood and stared at me. So I slipped her a $ 20 and she went to the register… I saw her make my change… and then she never came back to me.
I stood there and stared at her, much the same way she stared at me moments before… and she ducked my gaze after a few painful moments. I still stood there and followed her with my eyes… my bf finally squeezed in besides me and asked why I was just standing there… I told him she never gave me my change.
I don’t care if my change was 1 cent — give me my change and I will tip you accordingly.
Under no circumstance should a bartender EVER take liberties to do this. I was shocked, quite frankly very upset, and refused to get any more drinks after my lone beer.
My boyfriend and I were looking to have a good time with our friends and cap off the night with a few drinks since we didn’t drink much at the wedding. This turned so sour for me, I’d only return if my boyfriends friends band was playing or forced cause his friends live close and they want to meet for drinks. If I do return, I’ll be the one in the corner with R.B.F cause I’m pained to be there.
(Band was great, little outdoor area was cool, no comment on food… didn’t realize there was even a kitchen, I was lucky to get a parking spot in the lot)

My friends and I drove to PA for a girls weekend getaway and we stayed down the road.
We read the other reviews and knew we needed to come here — SO worth it!
Everyone is so friendly and the staff kicked ass

Oh Cons, you never disappoint! This place is full of characters.
The diveyness is not as strong as it used to be. This gives me mixed emotions, but I love the outdoor patio and the better beers on tap. I guess the sign does not hurt either.

Drinks are wet, crowd is ok, food is tasty, bartenders are swell, some creeps and drunken idiots, outdoor area is pleasant, prices are reasonable

It was a Sunday afternoon, I had just driven 6 plus hours up the Eastern Shore in order to get to PA.
Of course. Time for a dive bar.
Connolly does not disappoint, this is a Dive Bar Supreme! The human drama presented by the local cast of characters made the drive so worth it…
The mix of people was all over the place. Basically speaking, if you fit into a demographic group of any type, you will fit in here. Including ‘Just got out of my weekend jail work release program.’ Or ‘late 40’s woman that likes to lift up her shirt and expose herself.‘
Now, couple the above with the requisite blend of hipsters and local kids and you’ve really got something! And the part time bartender that was a huge fan of Indie Rock, well, she was the icing on this gem of a cake for sure!
I was hungry so asked to see the menu. They brought me a takeout menu from a couple of nearby Italian places (Connolly doesn’t cook on Sunday. Not sure if it is laziness of religiousness)…but that is just part of the charm of this place.
I will most certainly be back, and you should really come with…

A pleasant place to get inebriated. Hip young crowd, energetic bartenders, decent drink prices, and everyone sort of keeps cool. Go on a Friday or Saturday night. Not the trashy dive bar it used to be. The outdoor patio area is sick to chill at when it’s warm too. The occasional milf may slip through sometimes. Weeknights tend to be quiet but great for a large group of your friend to drink in peace.
