I used to think the S.A. on University Ave in Midway St Paul was the best S.A. ever, then I visited this one, it is so sweet! I am happy to drive a half an hour to go down to this location. The clothing is very well organized, which is actually kind of unusual at thrift stores. There is a separate section for vintage, and its actually vintage stuff, not just hideous b.s. that isn’t vintage, just stupid. Everything is priced decently. Sometimes you go into a thrift store and see things that you bought at a store on clearance for cheaper than they’re asking, not so at this place! There are lots of books and bedroom things. There’s also a fairly large furniture selection. The store is lighter on the«household»(read: junky stuff that people couldn’t ditch at garage sales) which is nice, as the space is used for other things. There seem to be a lot of high school kids working here, which is a really great idea. I’m pretty sure the reason why this store is so well put together with such a low percentage of crappy stuff is that the teenagers have a good eye for these things. Its worth the trip down from the Cities. There are lots of things to do in Hastings, it’s a great little town.
