Nick’s Gyros

Still rating 4 stars, BUT, there is an option for a «Greek style» gyro! It tasted great but the gyro was not very full, hardly any meat, mostly onion, the tomatoes had a rotten taste, and the fries and onion rings were under cooked. I will definitely be back, because I love gyros, but just like the first time, the order was a little off… Five stars if they get me crispy sides and don’t skimp on the gyro.

The food is generally pretty good. My son who lives in Lincoln claims Nick’s are better than any gyro in Lincoln. Who am I to argue? My main complaint is that the place is a pig-​sty. Seriously clean it up!

Nicks Gyro’s is awesome! The only downside is that it’s in a gas station. But don’t let that keep you away, it’s great food. From Gyros to salads to French fries it’s all good!

Pretty good for a gas station food place

One gets plenty of food for a very reasonable price. Good option for counter gyro food, if you are in that mood. Staff is usually young and helpful.

Nick Gyros is a great, greasy order at the counter gyro stand. It’s in a gas station, but don’t let that fool you. They make some pretty damn good gyros.
I went to college in Hastings, and we loved coming to Nick’s for the cheap specials they’d have every day. The gyro meat is good, but the sauce on the gyro isn’t the best I’ve ever had. It’s still a solid sandwich and worth eating when you’re in Hastings.
I do remember eating the beef and cheddar pita they have, and I loved it. It was one of their weekly specials and you could get it for $ 2.50 on that day. Delicious gyro meat with delicious melted cheddar on a warm pita… mmmmm.
The service isn’t phenomenal, but it’s not that big of deal. This is an order at the counter place, so I’m not expecting much.
Bottom line: Good cheap eats in Hastings, NE and worth a stop.

Greek salad is fabulous and then some. Highly recommend.

The best Gyro’s I have ever had. I live in Minneapolis so I’m exposed to lots of good food. This is the one place I have to eat at whenever I come home for a visit.
