Service is awful! It took 10 minutes for someone to sit us. 10 more minutes for a waiter to show up, and 29MORE minutes for drinks… mind you, just fountain drinks. We’ve been here 40 minutes and we’re still waiting on our appetizer. Will never come back.

We LOVE this place! The brisket tacos are to die for! If you like spicy make sure to ask for the spicy salsa, as the one the bring out initially is only for the«tender» mouths ;)

Standard Tex Mex restaurant. My favorite item there is the chips and salsa. I’ve tried the chile relleno, steak taco, chicken enchilada and cheese enchilada. Servers seemed a little inexperienced, but we’re very attentive and friendly. I appreciate their willingness to provide good service. No dish really blew my socks off, but then again I have no complaints either.

Do not eat here!!! We went here a few times in the past and it was ok. This last time we went I ordered a margarita on the rocks they brought me a frozen when I brought it to the servers attention she said«just try it if you don’t like it well change it, I tried it and I don’t care for frozen margaritas so she took it back and set it on the bar too where the servers pick up there drinks. My margarita that I had already drank out of got served to another customer. I brought it to the servers attention and she denied it we watched it happen she when back and started laughing with her co works so I got the manager and he said I was seeing things my husband and I both saw it happen. The worst part is I had been sick I tried explaining that but they just didn’t care. I told the manager if that’s how they do business that’s fine but it’s extremely nasty and disturbing that we will not be back! On top of all that the service was horrible everytime we have been. It’s just happens to be the closest Mexican to us. We will NEVER Be back!

Unfortunately terrible. There were 3 of us, all with different menu items and each person agreed it was just bad. Everything tastes as if it was prepackaged and reheated with the exception that my grilled chicken had some cold spots in it. Tortillas were stale, even the French fries weren’t good. The host had to take our drink order because no one else did and when the waitress finally did come over she was obviously not paying attention due to her need to ask me to repeat my order twice, then about ten minutes after she left another guy came out of the kitchen to ask what I had ordered… Again… The only positive comment that I do have is that they sure do load you up with free chips and salsa.

Their chips and salsa are one of my favorites. I had the brisket quesadillas. The meat was seasoned perfectly, juicy and tender. I have been several times and never disappointed.

I have visited this restraunt twice now. Both times on a weekday evening for dinner. Both visits were unimpressive. The last visit was exceptionally bad. We were seated and it took 20 minutes for the waiter to come around for our drink order. They were not busy. Three tables of customers including us. We finally placed a food order another 15 minutes later. It took 45 minutes to then receive our meals. The food was fine except for my shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were hot and the sauce it sat in was ketchup. Literally! I told the waiter to take it back and the look on his face said he knew exactly why I wanted it gone. I will not be returning.

Average at best. I have been here 3 times each time the service has been average or below. Each time disappointing. The food is also VERY average. It tastes just like any other non-authentic Mexican food restaurant. Soggy nachos, quesadillas that could be made better at your house, and bland enchiladas. All this combined with the ENTIRELY too expensive pricing makes this place a very low three.

Been here ½ a dozen times since it opened. Each time the same old thing. Service is horrible. Food is okay but when combined with the price and the service it’s not worth it. Whatever you do don’t ask for a side of something. Only place I have ever at in 20 years that didn’t serve lettuce and cheese with fajitas. When I asked for a side of each you would have thought I was asking for their right arm. We were very disappointed because Mexican is our favorite and finally one opened near our home. Wish they would hurry up and clear the restaurant out and start over with«Under New Management» so we could give it another try. As for right now I’ll drive 30 minutes to go somewhere else before I’ll drive 5 to go here.

The food was very good. Had the street tacos and taquitos on my visits. Love their queso. The first time eating in they were short on staff but seemed to be handling it well, of course I went after the lunch rush. The second time there the server was very friendly and checked with us several times to see if we needed anything. I will be going back because there are more items I want to try that look good.

By now I’ve been there twice. We waited a while after opening, because that’s usually a crazy time in new restaurants. Like the salsa. Margaritas were great this week!!! Love the Grande Relleno with steak tips. But my absolute guilty pleasure are their charro beans! So savory and tasty! Please don’t change anything on that recipe!!!

The place is nice. I wasn’t awed by the nachos I ordered. I know I can make better. My waiter was very attentive.

This is the 3rd time I have been and the most disappointing. The first time I had 3 Cheese Enchiladas, one with Queso, one with Ranchero and one with Salsa Verde. The Enchiladas were very good. The Queso was good, the Ranchero was very good but the Salsa Verde was delicious! The second time I had the Chili Rellinos. Good but served with Raisins and Pecans. Strange! Tonight was disappointing! I had the Combo Fajita Plate. Both the Chicken and Beef had grill marks but were tasteless. They both lacked any seasoning, even salt and pepper! The chicken had a steamed watery taste. The beef was ok but nothing special. Three small chunks of Bell Pepper and a skimp portion of very thin sliced onions made up the bed of the Fajitas. We did order a small order of Queso and the Table-side Guacamole. Both of these were excellant! Overall I would recommend for a quick convenient Mexican Lunch or Dinner. If you are looking for something special, this is not the place.

Let’s start at the end. I’d go there again. I had the chicken chimichanga with beans and rice which proved to be very satisfactory. The chicken chimi was not the best I’ve ever had nor anywhere near the worst but it was quite palatable. Also the chips were very good, heated and fresh. The mild salsa was not to my particular taste as it had pico de gallo in it and I’m not personally fond of cilantro. I was here on Mother’s day and the place was very, very busy. There were lots of servers, bussers and chip servers available. The place has only been open about two months according to the manager that I chatted with briefly. I only gave it three stars for the following reasons: There was some confusion as to who my server was. No server came up to my table. The general manager, David Gonzalez, seemed to be very observant and noticed I’d not been helped. He took and served my drink order then took my food order. I waited a very long time just observing since this was my first time here and it was obvious they were a new business. Eventually, after waiting a very long time, the manager approached me and said that there had been an error with a server and he said my order would be right out. Very shortly thereafter, he served it himself and said there would be no charge for anything due to the error. He was very nice and offered this on his own. I had made no complaint and certainly didn’t advise I was going to write a Unilocal review. That would certainly have been quite unethical. I had plenty of time since I’m retired and it didn’t really matter to me. I want to go back after they have had a chance to shake things out and find an even keel. I’ll let you know about my next visit here.

It as good, not sure if it was really good, because I only got the Taco Salad. I did not want a lot to eat, avoiding leftovers. The tacos looked really appetizing the table close to me ordered them. The hosted was nice, gave me small talk on the way to my table. The young waiter was overly nice, checked several times, if I needed anything else. He did not try to up sale other than the queso for appetizer, but his overly repetitive«can I get you anything else» almost made me think I forgot to order something. They do give you a choice of regular or spicy salsa. I asked to try both. Both were good. The regular was not hot but had a lot of salt. It was just right for me though kept me from adding it myself. The«spicy» was okay, it had good flavor, smoked peppers, but was not that spicy.(Note: I like hot, so you will need to judge this one yourself) The chipotle ranch for my salad was actually the best I have had since I can remember. I dipped my chips in it for I am not much for putting it on my salad. And surprisingly they served a sample size of queso with my salad so good thing I did not order any. Loved the atmosphere, cool pictures, plates on the wall, and plants. The right amount of color, Clean and welcoming. They even have a really nice chandelier. Only bad thing is yesterday when I checked in from the parking lot. I could. Today, the map has it down the street a few miles. I will report to Unilocal.Hope it gets fixed so you can check in and give your review.

The 3 stars are primarily for the location – this area of Fort Worth has few restaurants so something is better than nothing. The interior of the restaurant is small but has lovely décor. When we went, there were several employees standing around, but waitress said only 2 were on the floor. Service was slow. Salsa tasted like it was out of a jar. Burritos were the smallest I have ever seen. Waitress seemed unfamiliar with the menu when listed items were missing. Prices were higher than expected. Next time we will drive a few more miles(ok, quite a few more miles) and eat at another of Fort Worth’s great tex-mex restaurants.

I would have only given 2 or 3 stars, but the food is fresh and delicous. Fajitas are very well seasoned and tender. The chips & salsa is fresh and NOT Hot(salsa is mild), they do have very hot fresh salsa on request, it also is very delicious and very hot. Villa Grande DOESNOT over season their food. And their food is seasoned very well. The Tacos were fresh and very tasty. My complaints is the food was served cold, not warm, COLD. The Fajitas seemed to be pre made not fresh, the fajita plate sizzled not the fajitas. Mexican food is our families favorite, please don’t try and fool us, we have had sizzling fajitas before. The beans and rice was served cold, not warm, cold. Also two BIG Men order fajitas and they only bring out one order of fajitas, and Irma said this is for both of you.(We ORDERED2TWOFAJITAS). A huge mound of onions with maybe 5 or 6 oz of fajita meat for 2 men’s orders on one plate. The manager tried to explain the reasoning, I wasn’t buying what he was trying to sell me. Sir you are trying fool me with sizzling fajitas that are not made fresh. And cold beans and rice. Our $ 2 tacos ala carte turned into $ 7.95 for 3. And 3 sopapillas for $ 4 that seems a little high for .25 cents worth of flour and sugar. Last couple of lines are me venting about how high food cost are. The food is very good and the employees were patient with me. Irma was good server considering she didn’t want any issues, her attitude changed a little after asking for a manager. Irma was never rude Irma was patient. Manager was set it was plenty of fajita meat and it was no big deal we served you cold beans and rice. Manager brought out only 1 plate of hot beans, and some more onions with a very small portion on meat, all small pieces. Mexican food is our families favorite, please don’t try and fool us.
