Food was good, however… Showed up here for dinner for 2, arriving 10 minutes before our reservation. 5 minutes after we arrived, another couple showed up and was seated while we continued to wait. Ok, maybe they had an earlier reservation and arrived late but the staff decided to accommodate them ahead of us anyways… not a big deal. Anyways, it’s now our reservation time and a table for 2 is about to clear. Another couple shows up, the table is cleared, and that couple is seated ahead of us… Now, a bit agitated, a third couple shows up 25 minutes after we had arrived and again gets seated ahead of us! At this point it’s clear that Buca’s prefers to seat middle-aged couples and discriminate against those in their 20s. Finally, we are seated at a table by the door 45 minutes after we arrived, 35 minutes after our reservation, and after three couples who all arrived after us. It’s obvious that Buca’s either blatantly discriminated due to our age or is extremely inept in managing reservations and/or understanding who in their crowded entryway arrived first. Let me know which one you’d prefer to be labeled as, Buca’s — discriminatory or dumb(or maybe both). Despite this terrible introduction to Buca’s I will say the food was delicious and they earn 1 star above the worst rating I could give them.

Delicious. Throughout the years this restaurant has gone up and down, but recently has been amazing.

Delicious food — perfectly prepared salmon, the seafood stew was wonderful, quality bread, fresh vegetable sides, excellent, pleasant service. This is a new favorite for us on the Cape.

Best dining experience on the Cape Cod in many years. Wonderful service large portions meticulously prepared. Even the picky eaters amongst us loved their meals. The wine by the glass selection was more than adequate though the single malt Scotch selection could have been more expansive. Definitely worth the 35 min drive from Centerville.

Called late on a Saturday in season(!) to see about getting a reservation; 9 p.m. it was and it was worth the wait. Cute cute little restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and fun. We were starving so we basically got it all. Special Artichoke starter, along with friend mozzarella, both delicious! I got the eggplant parmesan, a classic. Ooey gooey cheesey saucey goodness. I’m an Italian food snob and this was«right up there». My husband and our cousin got the wild boar pasta bolognese and they both said it was fabulous. That pasta dish(and perhaps others?) are offered in both half and large sizes, which I think is a nice touch. We had a great bottle of wine at the servers recommendation. All in all it was a great experience and we will definitely recommend it to others and return for ourselves!

Overall, this was a good restaurant with delicious food and a relaxing, quaint atmosphere. The staff was attentive, and there was valet parking. During our meal, the same song was played on repeat but they eventually managed to switch tracks after a half hour. It took an hour to get two pasta dishes, but both were delicious and even better when we mixed them together.

What happened here, something in the kitchen changed. It was exceptional but now it has morphed into just another summer joint. The sauce is a tasteless red almost paste, pasta although house made had the texture and taste of pasta that was precooked then reheated. I ordered sole piccata it came with pasta, I requested the pasta to be plated separately and requested plain tomato sauce instead of the piccata sauce she told me I had to buy a separate side of pasta if I wanted red sauce. Nice touch. My wife ordered eggplant, dry over cooked and the cheese was burned. To acerbate the situation everyone’s food was almost cold. I must say we never complained to the house so they never had an opportunity to rectify the situation. I hope it was one of those nights a restaurant is off its game. I gave it three stars only because of its past.

If you are a Seafood lover and are on Cape Cod, you will find that there is no shortage of seafood restaurants — All of which boast the best Lobster on the cape. Diner beware. While driving to Provincetown we stopped for lunch at a restaurant with lobster traps on the roof and a ship’s anchor on the front lawn, sorry to say that my wifi was down and I was fooled by the signs and décor. The food and service were so awful that I’m surprised all the patrons didn’t rush the kitchen and mutiny. Then one evening we decided to find an Italian restaurant. We are from the New York metropolitan area and know that there are only two types of Italian food — Really good Italian food and really bad Italian food. We were not certain we’d find good Italian food in the Lobster belt of the U.S. Buca’s Tuscan Roadhouse in Harwich, serves REALLY good authentic Italian food. To be fair, we were only on Cape Cod one week and we did not visit any other Italian restaurants, so I will not say it’s the best on the Cape. But if you’re on the Cape, and want a really good Italian meal, you will not be disappointed with this restaurant. The ambiance was delightful — the service was excellent — and the food was delicious.

Food was good, not great. I got the Vitello Rosa(veal with a red wine sauce) and the flavor was good but the texture was awful, it left my mouth feeling slimy. The service was atrocious. I ordered a beer(they don’t have draft, only bottled) and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to bring it out and it turned out to be the wrong one. Everything else came out very slowly too. Overall, food tasted fine, nothing special, but fine, service was poor, ambiance was excellent. I’d probably give it another shot but I wasn’t extremely impressed.

The hostess, Lisa, was SO sweet and accommodating(not typical east coast!!). She made room for 7 of us at 900. The service was a little slow, but friendly. Food is definitely solid. Artichoke app is definitely a must! Pasta just ok. Hence, the four stars.

Last night, Saturday June 13, four of us went to dinner only to find the restaurant we had planned to go to was closed for a private function. We decided to try Buca’s a restaurant I had always heard was good but never had a chance to try. We walked in to a packed restaurant around 8:00 and we were told that they were full but the gentleman greeting guests said he would see what he could do. After checking back with us a few time we were given a booth by the bar. I believe his name was Martin. We ending up having a truly spectacular meal and a great evening thanks to Martin. Everything we ate and drank was delicious! Our waitress was knowledgable and sweet. We definitely will be back.

Good environment. Excellent service and wine list. We shared the artichoke and prosciutto appetizer which was excellent. My husband had the Veal and it was amazing. I had the eggplant parm which was good but not great. While we declined dessert they had a wide array of options which looked very tasty

The best Italian pasta dishes on Cape Cod. I dont drink, but their wine list was very extensive. The rustic breads were worth the visit alone.

Cozy seating inside this authentic looking Italian road house. Service was mediocre and left more to be desired in a restaurant of this price range. The fresh bread they served was crispy krusty and fabulous. The ribeye was a little overcooked and tough. Hoping it would be a go-to place on the cape, but wasn’t particularly worth the hassle for reservations.

A gem in Harwich that I wished I tried sooner! The food and service were both excellent. Highly recommend the artichoke appetizer and pasta with clams. Sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. I will definitely go back!
