While the staff here was pretty great most of the time, throughout our membership, they kept canceling our appointments without notifying us. The massage therapists kept leaving, which I couldn’t understand until today. The manager is extremely rude. We moved to the Baton Rouge area so wanted to transfer our membership to this location. When the manager got on the phone she interrupted me telling me that they are not able to do that. Then she told me how«pleasant» I was when I told her it was rude to interrupt. I will now be cancelling my membership at this location to ensure they do not get my money and rejoining at the location I am currently going to. I would give this less than 1 star for my experience today if possible.

Recently went in for a massage and had a really good experience. I was greeted when I entered, shown to the relaxation room and given a little paperwork to complete. When it was time to begin my masseuse came to get me. The room was very clean and inviting(soft sounds, low lighting, comfortable temperature). I had Reshida. She did a really good job. She asked me questions about any problem areas I was having and the amount of pressure I’d like(which I greatly appreciated). Her pressure was perfect. I’m a medium/deep pressure girl and she hit the nail on the head. She did check to make sure the pressure was acceptable after a few minutes in. And she worked the tense areas(that I never told her about but she could obviously feel). I left feeling completely relaxed. *NOTE(this is important to me): she kept convo to a minimum. She spoke when she needed to but allowed me to relax in quiet. It really annoys me when I’m trying to relax and my masseuse tries to have a full on convo throughout my massage. I like total relaxation(including falling asleep)! I never told her that but thank her for not having to!!! The check-out process was also smooth. I was given a suggested massage wellness plan and informed about the membership program. I was not pressured to join. Simply told about it and given literature on it at my request so I could do my due diligence(research). The front desk staff were very friendly. The ratings here don’t do the staff justice. The biggest complaint seems to be more so on a corporate level. People need to know what they are agreeing to BEFORE they sign up for ANY program. But once it’s done, there is nothing the staff can do. It’s a corporate policy and they don’t have the authority to change it. That’s not a «Massage Envy — Harvey» issue … that’s an issue you have with corporate.

I called on a Friday night and was surprised to get a mid morning appointment for the next day. I arrived and was checked in quickly and shown to the tranquility room to wait for my therapist. I had Becky and she was fantastic! I told her I was having some problems with my back so she made sure to pay extra attention to that area. All in all this was a great visit. I wasn’t rushed, and from the second I arrived till walking out the door the staff was welcoming and helpful. I will be back and Becky is my new go to therapist on the WB.

I have been a member for six months and wanted to cancel my subscriptions because of financial reasons. There is no cancellation; only«freezing» of the account which means you get six months of no payments but you must continue the membership until the agreement is done. I distinctly remember asking if I could cancel. The response was Yes, you can freeze it. So, I feel I was mislead. The massage therapists are good and the office/rooms are adequate. The front desk staff, however, leave something to be desired. I found the person I spoke to was rude. They are supposed to follow a script and so any conversation that might include a discussion off script or otherwise, will be responded to with pat answers. Totally frustrating. For both of these reasons, I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

I’ve recently cancelled my membership. This is like the McDonald’s of Massage places. I stayed because it was convenient, although not necessary much cheaper. When it became less convenient, I knew it was time to cancel. Friendly receptionist and staff. Mediocre massages. The rooms are not very inviting, feels like you are going into a doctor’s office. Many of the better masseuses employ there often eventually venture out to better places themselves…

I’ve passed by this place hundreds of time and decided to try it yesterday considering the deal for $ 39 for a one hour massage. They require you to give a credit card when reserving the appointment which I am kind of iffy doing since its over the phone. However, the receptionist was very nice and friendly when I came in for my appointment. My masseuse was Amanda. She was nice and friendly. The massage was okay nothing amazing but she did do a good job on my shoulders which has a lot of knots in it. The only thing I really did not care for was their use of lotion instead of massage oils to perform the massage. It made the massage rough and dry. Upon checking out, it receptionist was haggling me to buy into their massage«program». I thought it was tacky and a horrible way to end a massage. The first massage you get is $ 39 and after that is $ 79 unless you join their membership program which requires you pay some type of monthly and enrollment fees which I think is ridiculous! I only went here because of the deal but I do not think i’ll be going back. I’ll stick to my regular masseuse even though she is more expensive but at least I do not leave feeling like I was haggled into buying something I did not want. Overall, the business does not live up to the name. There is nothing to envy.

My girlfriend and I had a couples’ massage here and for a franchise location, we had some pretty rad massages!!! My masseuse was Amber and my girlfriend’s was Ted. They made us both feel great. The spa was clean; mostly probably because its a new location. This was my first time at a Massage Envy location so we had the great deal of an hour massage for only thirty nine bucks! The massage was absolutely amazing by Amber and I did not want to leave the heated bed. I just wish they had a jacuzzi spa i could doze off in afterwards!
