My wife and I decided to order and couch and chair and ottoman from a sale they had. The sales experience was ok. Karen our sales associate was helpful. Out problems developed after the order was in. We placed our order Jan. 31st, about a week later we were told our order would be ready by end of March. So in the last week of March my wife and I still hd not received a call from our associate. After reaching out to them they noted our order would not be ready until end of April. So we waited again no one called us. We had to reach out to rep again to get a kind of answer. This time I spoke to Lead Designer Amani who apologize but swore to be check on our order and give us a call. We then found out actually our order will be here is May. So let’s by my count it has be 4 months without furniture. The callback from Amani did not happen. One more time we had to reach out to Ethan Allen to figure out where our order was, only to find out that our couch was sitting in the warehouse. We have to wait one more week before it delivered, which by the way they don’t give you a time frame they ask to you wait all day. Thanks Ethan Allen for making my furniture shopping experience a complete nightmare. Will update with condition of couches once they are received.

Two years ago I bought a room of furniture from Ethan Allen, including sectional sofa, club chair, two leather Ottomans, coffee table as well as custom made pillows. The designer who had helped us did not want to hear from us once the order was placed and I was very disappointed about that. Foolishly, I went back a few months ago and purchased a rug for my living room. I’ve had the rug for about two months now and there are ripples on the rug. The sales person/designer told me that they would come out after«a while.» After repeated attempts, unanswered emails, promises that customer service will call me, etc. I am still staring at the ripples on the rug. It seems the only way to get a response from the store is by reviewing them on Unilocal.I will not shop there again.

I made an appointment with one of their designers… my job was small, and when she discovered that, she was not interested. She didn’t care to come up to the house to see my needs, and she was very dismissive of my desires! Their furniture was, as another reviewer stated: bland and expensive for what it was! I was not impressed with this store at all!

Overly aggressive sales staff. We told the lady we were just browsing but she followed us from room to room and did not leave us alone. Even after saying we will find her if we have any questions. Ended up wasting our time with her«design consultation» when we were obviously not interested and had come to look at a few specific items. Won’t be buying anything here as I didn’t even get a good look at the items I did like — I was too busy trying to get away from the salesperson.

Horrible service! Poor sales designer suggested couch fabric which turned yellow and wrinkled!!! They refused to steam /clean. Never order anything there especially with custom fabric.

As an owner of an interior design business in Westchester, I truly enjoy doing work with the people at Ethan Allen in Hartsdale. There are a couple of products I specify over and over as well as I always find their showroom to be both ever changing and inspiring. Their furniture is current, relevant and well priced. I especially like the option of adding spring and down to their sofa cushions which can really upgrade any piece. My clients vary in style and price point which makes Ethan Allen one of my first choices to shop. I look forward to doing more business with them in the future!

I am extremely disappointed with Ethan Allen’s quality and service. I ordered a full dining room, living room and bedroom set and almost all of the furniture had issues — whether it be uneven staining, scratches, gouges, etc. They do not take pride in their furniture and this is not your parent’s Ethan Allen. They continually cut corners and their service has been nothing short of horrendous. I feel as if once they have your money they wash their hands with you. I recieved my furniture over 2 months ago and they still need to fix it, have been very slow to get back to me. Don’t make the mistake i did, look elsewhere!
