Deneweth’s Garden Center

I love this place!
I drive from Royal Oak to come here for my flower needs.
Deneweth’s not only has awesome service — there’s always a smiling face and someone to point you in the right direction, but the selection is far superior to the other nurseries I’ve visited. Best of all? The prices are fair. Every time I’m in I find more than I expected and spend less than I planned which, literally, never happens.
My first visit led me to their hydrangea section that I nearly ransacked. After watching these plants grow and blossom, and after hearing tons of compliments from neighbors, Deneweth’s is worth the drive.
Today, I was in the area and stopped in to check out their fall selection for some window boxes that need some love. I left with a trunk full of goodies, and have received rave reviews since the window boxes were debuted.
Truly a gem.

Went just looking for bags of dirt so pretty simple purchase but the young lady that helped me was very nice and helpful by loading my truck up for me. Even though most of the bags were frozen together she never gave up.

Went here again yesterday with the hope of finding a great fruit tree (finger crossed for a Honey Crisp apple) with coupon in hand (spend at least $ 30, get $ 5 off). The selection/​inventory looked to be dwindling somewhat, but just about everything they had still looked good and healthy. Noticed they sold produce to the left of the building on the outside this time too.
One star knocked off on this visit because, after much looking around and not seeing anything we decided to ask for help. We were told they supposedly didn’t carry many fruit trees, «if any at all», by the older, tall blonde woman at the register on staff during the early afternoon hours. It didn’t seem like a very definitive response. The second star is knocked off because she really did not seem interested in interacting or helping us after her ‘informative’ tree comment. She walked away thereafter, presumably get away from us and our pesky questions.
Still a nice place, with nice stuff, but lacking on customer service on this visit.
