So good! I haven’t tried anything except the Korean dishes so far. I’ve ordered the Bulgogi Korean BBQ with veggies and was blown away by the freshness of the veggies, the quality and QUANTITY the food! I’ve also had the spicy pork Babimbab and spicy pork Korean BBQ with Udon noodles and kimchi instead of veggies. I was almost drinking the broth when I finished eating just to get more because it was SOGOOD! The price is a little higher then I would like to pay for relatively fast food BUT you are basically given a thanksgiving dinner’s worth of food crammed into your bowl or bento box and i dont think it’s unfair based on how good it is or how much you’re getting. I think if the setting was more like a sit-down restaurant and less like a café, that price would be average. I dont understand what some of the negative complaints are about on here. Having read them i think some ppl just like to whine. I found the service very friendly and polite. There may be a culture difference that some reviewers are not understanding about manners. Both staff members who have served me have been very polite and checked on me to make sure everything was good. The only thing I wasnt thrilled with is the price of drinks. Seem $ 1 higher than i am used to across the board. Also my café americano was ok but in fairness I am picky about my café americanos

On our way to NH from Philly. We took a pit stop for lunch and walked around the downtown to find a place to eat. Was excited to see some Korean entrees and for a reasonable price. Although it’s café style, the food was as good as a Korean bbq restaurant and overall delicious. Would recommend it!

This place is horrible. The staff is horrible. The food is horrible. Overpriced for a soggy burger. I’m surprised its still open. I’m waiting for its doors to shut any day now. Why do I keep getting soggy hot sandwiches? TIP sun&berry. Use foil to wrap the hot sandwiches. It’s not science! I rather go to that ghetto BURGERKING than sun&berry. FROMANANGRYCUSTOMER ! 0 Stars!

I always think Sunberry is going to be better than it is. And I always think getting the Korean option is going to be a good idea; it never is. I’ve never had the bibimbap, so I can’t speak on that, but the other options I’ve had are a definite PASS. — Ramen: Not sure if people think this is legit ramen, but it is definitely Ramyum from the packet. You can buy it at the asian grocery store. Its a step up from Top Ramen, just another version of packaged sodium. they try to add some fresh ingredients to it to make it seem more gourmet for the price you pay, but really, you can’t fix ugly, and you can’t make this gourmet. However, to be clear, i love Ramyum, but i just don’t like paying 8 dollars for it! — Korean ‘Grill’ — On the specials sing, you can get a box from the korean grill with your choice of veggies, rice, or noodles — and your choice of meat. I opted for the bulgogi and it was AWFUL. It was so watery and tasteless. Avoid. The veggies are just a stir fried version of what they put on the bibimbap. I think anyone who steps in here is confused; mexican, sandwiches, and korean food. Such an eclectic mix cant produce winning results. I’d pass on this option more times than not; but it is still an option.

Sunberry Café Connecticut: Hartford 1pm Sunday 25th May 2015 Two Stars After reading the reviews, this seemed like a decent place to eat lunch in between events at XLC. After looking at the menus for Ramen, Bibimbap, Burritos, Sandwiches, Breakfast. I ordered Bibimbap but they weren’t doing those. I ordered a meatball sandwich but they were not doing that either. The cashier gave me attitude like I was suppose to know what they were and were not doing. I ordered and ate a rather mediocre California Wrap which was just lettuce, Tomato, and Avocado in a tortilla.

Bibimbap for lunch? Yes, please. Or how about a delicious breakfast wrap piled with veggies(and avocado)? Or maybe you want a burrito bowl? The beauty of Sunberry is you can have whatever you want. On top of that they have a selection of fresh baked treats and daily breakfast and lunch specials so that you can always mix things up. Prices are a little higher than I’d like for a deli/café on some items, but it’s a mixed bag and really, for downtown, I imagine it’s comparable to most other sandwich shops. I will say that I’ve had a couple of weird experiences there. Once they didn’t have any chicken left when I came in for a late lunch. Also, the rice in my burrito bowl was served cold. Maybe that’s normal, and Chipotle has been misleading me. The bowl was still good, topped with guacamole that tasted pretty fresh, but I definitely prefer warm rice as my base. I was pleased with the Bibimbap, which had all the fixin’s. I like to stop in from time to time for a quick bite — especially in the dead of winter when it’s just a quick dash from the office.

The restaurant has various options including Asian and American food for customers, and the flavor is great. The environment is also great for two people to talk business.

Its definitely a-Ok for breakfast or lunch. Not going to win any awards, but its a place definitely worth visiting for a quick bite. Prices remain a little high but there are bargains to be found. They do a nice job with 2 eggs, crispy bacon and potatoes, all for around $ 5. One of the better places around downtown on a weekday. And the sandwiches are pretty good. But the Asian dishes still fall a bit short. Better off sticking to the tried and true and you’ll enjoy this place. And besides, it’s good to support solid local businesses.

This place is seriously OVERPRICED. If the food were good that would be one thing but it is nothing to rave about. Their fries are good but that doesn’t really impress me. I paid 15 dollars for a wrap, fries, and a drink which I think it way too much. The sandwich didn’t have any flavor and the chicken in it tasted like it was frozen and then burned. I gave it a two because of the fries and the place is VERY clean and new.

The menu is a bit overwhelming; however everything I’ve had is decent. It is annoying that they charge you a dollar extra to change the cheese or add anything to a sandwich.

Great prices, huge menu. These folks are doing a great job brining more options to Hartford diners. From Kimchi Ramen and Bimbambap to Burritos and Burgers to Breakfast Sandwiches, no matter which of their multitude options you pick you will be happy. Plus, they have bubble tea and tons of other delicious smoothies and healthy options.

This is a review for the chicken ramen. I was in the mood for some ramen, and since this place seems to offer Asian fare, I thought I’d give it a shot. I ordered the chicken ramen — I had it mild with an egg(you can get it spicy; the egg comes at no extra charge). I had it to go. I didn’t have to wait long to get my order, although it was during the usual lunch time on a workday. The longest wait I had was for the long line. The ramen was not good. I can have better, more flavorful ramen at home. The ramen had the egg, chicken, some veggies(broccoli, shredded carrots, mushrooms), and of course, noodles. The broth was not flavorful, though it had a slight kick to it(that was the«mild,» I guess). The noodles were nothing special — tasted like the instant noodles(maybe they were, though I didn’t see any instant noodle packages around). The chicken bits were small, veggies seemed random. The to-go container also leaked. By the time I sat down to eat this(a few blocks away), some of the broth had leaked out. Good thing the food was given to me in both paper and plastic. So in short, the food came quickly and was hot, but the taste left much to be desired. And for $ 10.00 a bowl, I would go elsewhere for ramen. I give this place 2 stars because: 1) they’ve got a huge menu and I do intend to return and try something else — maybe it will be better than this lackluster ramen; and 2) the place has friendly workers and it’s clean.

I stumbled across this place while attending Connecticon a few weeks ago. I was starving and wandering near the Hilton; it’s just a couple of blocks from there. I wouldn’t have gathered the food they had by the name, but I was pleasantly surprised. They had breakfast sandwiches, some Korean food, and some Japanese dishes on their menu. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp tempura udon and the regular udon respectively, and we both enjoyed it a lot. There are large fridge units with bottled and canned drinks up front. The girl at the cash register was friendly and genuine, though her parents(presumably the owners) didn’t interact with us. The restaurant was clean, but also a little empty. There were only two other customers when we were there, and they were also convention attendees. We left with a taro flavored boba(bubble tea), and the bubbles were perfect, not half-frozen like at some bakeries or restaurants. It was a joy to find this place in a nook in a quieter part of Hartford. I’m not a fan of the city at all, but if you find yourself there, I would suggest Sunberry for simple and relatively inexpensive foreign cuisine.

My husband and I ordered a cheesecake square and a bubble tea. The cheesecake square tasted like it had been sitting in the display case for no less than 2 – 3 weeks. It was so stale and tasted so bad my husband and I both immediately spit our first(and only) bite out. Another thing that was weird is that the woman blended our bubble tea. So instead of being liquid, it was like a frozen drink. It didn’t taste particularly bad, it was just strange and didn’t seem like bubble tea. After the experience with the cheesecake we decided to call it a wash and ended up throwing the bubble«tea» out. I am basing my whole review off the horrible pastry and strange bubble tea, so if you’re going to try something else, give it a shot. The lady behind the counter was very nice though, which is why I have given it two stars instead of 1.

1.) Just to warm you up: This place has been opened up less than a year. A Korean family from Bayside, Queens, NY run this deli. 2.) What your eyes may see: It’s pretty spacious and relatively clean. They have a large flat top area. They serve breakfast BEFORE11am, deli sandwiches, Mexican and Bibimbap! They have several LED screens that display the menu. I was overwhelmed so instead… 3.) Food: I ordered a Philly cheese sandwich. It was hot, juicy and good. On the side they had complimentary sauces, one of which was Sriracha. They have Snapple, Vitamin Water, Soda and the typical, along with Cape Cod Chips like mesquite barbecue and sea salt and vinegar. 4.) Service: The daughter speaks English, but the parents not so well, but they handle the cooking and everything else besides the customer service, although the father came by to check up on my sandwich. I didn’t like that it was cold in this place, and even worse, I had to go to a separate place to use the bathroom. That place was extra cold!!! This is more of a take out place than anything, although there were tables, high tops and chairs. The staff was nevertheless nice. 5.) Impression: Since that sandwich was good, I have more eating to do!

Sandwiches were decent. Deserts tasted as though they came from stop & shop. Platters were great — we have saved them and used for other events. Advice: spend less on platter delivery and more on food quality.

Two words: Bubble Tea! It is incredibly hard to find bubble tea in Connecticut, especially in Hartford County. While I will admit that this café uses a powder mix rather than real fruits(but they do have real fruit smoothies), the drinks themselves taste just as good and are made in less time.(Which is great for me, since every time I come here I’m always on the go!) There are several flavors to choose from and they have been a perfect sweet treat during our latest heatwave. I’ve ordered several of their breakfast sandwiches and they’ve all tasted fine. The great thing about their breakfast menu is that you can order breakfast items after 11am for just $ 1 more. This is nice for me because I love breakfast foods and sometimes I just don’t feel like having a heavy sandwich for lunch. I also like that you can watch them prepare your food while you wait. I’ve tried a few of their simple lunch sandwiches(turkey/ham and cheese) and they were good too. This place also offers burritos/tacos, pizza, paninis, and burgers, but I haven’t tried any of those yet. They also have desserts(cupcakes, danishes, banana bread, etc.), coffee/espresso choices, and a large selection of bottled drinks to choose from. The danishes are yummy, but the cupcakes a little too sweet(and I love sweets). The service is always great and the staff are super friendly. They never get mad or impatient with me when I take a long time figuring out what to order. They also keep the restaurant very clean, including the bathroom(which was a little hard to find). The restaurant is very long, but most of the space is taken up by the food prep area, so there isn’t much seating. I think this place is great, but best suited for take-out meals.

I’ve been here a few times now and can say that as far as food quality, I’m not hugely impressed. It’s fine, but maybe overpriced for what you get. I had a wrap — a little bland, and a burrito — too spicy. I feel like their menu is so huge that there is something on it that I’ll find«just right.» The bubble tea is a nice treat! I like the mango flavor especially. The desserts look amazing, but I have not gotten to try any yet. That’s next on my to-do list. What saves them is the owners seem extremely willing to please. They are open on Saturdays and were open on a recent Sunday when a major convention was happening downtown. The result? They had business. It’s always a breath of fresh air to see small businesses taking risks like this, even when there are larger chains unwilling to try the same. There is some seating on the sidewalk. They will bring your food out to you. I think they do have some kinks to work out, but fortunately, those kinks are not related to customer service.

I’m so excited a new lunch spot has opened on pratt– we are definitely in need. I agree to the prior guy that they are still working out some kinks, but everything so far that I’ve gotten has been really good, and I really encourage folks to give it a try so that it stays and doesn’t fail like so many other places on pratt. What I’ve tried so far and really liked– bubble tea, coffee, smoothies, the santa fe chicken and the burrito bowl. All have been really really good. We should all collectively try to get this place business so it doesn’t fail!
