Peking Garden

I usually order from Black Bamboo but went to Unilocal to see if anything was closer to my house. 4.5 stars? I ordered Garlic Chicken and some Beef Teriyaki for my kids. I got chicken fried rice. The fried rice was yellow rice and the palest chicken I have ever seen that was it. The garlic chicken was spicy but tasteless and was inedibly chewy. Beef was fatty and gross.

First time in Hartford so having a hankerin’ for Chinese, I turned to Unilocal.This place had good ratings and reviews and now I know why! Here’s the rundown:
Delivery: on time as promised
Food: delivered hot and fresh
Kung Pow Chicken: spicy as expected (not too spicy). loaded with fresh mushroom, green pepper, celery, those little corn on the cobs and firm tasty chicken. This was very tasty and satisfying.
Egg Roll: Not as crispy on the outside as one would like but inside was delicious. It came not with the expected yellow hot sauce but a red version, somewhat thinner and less based in horseradish/​wasabi as in chili pepper. Interesting and different.
Beef Fried Rice: loads of beef, tasty fried rice and a good vegetables to rice ratio in the mix.
I hereby declare the Peking Garden: Recommended!
