The fish fry here is wonderful! Served family style with French fries and potato pancakes. Everything on the plate is all you can eat. The coleslaw served ahead of time along with the basket of rye bread are excellent. You also get applesauce but I didn’t have any. The bar area is small, but cozy. They do pour a nice drink. This is our new favorite place for fish fry.

So good. We are new to the area, and love finding these great spots. You will be surprised at the high end choices of food and cocktails. We come from 2 major metropolises and this beats all. Calling my friends now to make reservations. Tiramasu Martini, yummmmm

I went to The Little Red Inn for the first time on Saturday night. My wife and I are prime rib connoisseurs and found a 45 minute wait at our usual favorite place for prime rib. I literally just typed in prime rib and this place came up. I read a few favorable reviews and decided to give it a try. We walked in the place which is very«cozy» and found it felt warm and inviting. We did not have reservations so we had to wait about 30 minutes which I thought was not terrible. We were seated in the upstairs area which appeared to be a converted attic. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgable and took our order right away. We ordered a couple appetizers. We ordered the onion straws and the corn fritters. Both were excellent. We both ordered the house cut of prime rib which was about 16−20oz I’d say. They also have the«Buddha» cut which is the Industrial size cut for large appetites. I thought the house cut was very adequate. The prime rib was very tender and flavorful. They served it with an au jus and a horseradish sauce that was very delicious but not deadly hot. All in all we believe we found a little gemstone in rural nowhere but not terribly far from civilization. We will definitely be back and would most definitely recommend it to anyone looking for fine food with a casual atmosphere.

Had a good time this evening at Little Red Inn. Was my first time going to this restaurant. It is a cute little place. The service was good and the waitress was very polite and accomodating. We had a group reservation. The wait for fish was a very long wait. Everything besides the fish and fries came fast. I understand they make fresh but the wait was longer than it should of been. The waitress was very apologetic for the lengthy wait. The food was all good and I would recommend to others. All the people were very friendly. Our only complaint was the length of wait for the food.

The state of Wisconsin is littered with supper club and«down home good cooken» restaurants. It seems every small town has their version, preparing«made from scratch» food that has been coming out of kitchens for decades. There is nothing fancy about this food and certainly nothing healthy. It’s just good eaten! The epitome of this culinary tradition is the Friday night fish fry. Perch, Haddock, Cod, Blue Gill are fried up and served with fries, hash browns, or potato pancakes. Some of these fish fries are terrible, some okay and some great. The Little Red Inn is a member of the great category, offering up Perch, Cod, and Blue Gill served with your choice of potato. Everything tasted wonderful. The fish was fried perfectly, and wasn’t at all greasy with just the right touch of breading. The potato pancakes were the stars of the evening and the hash browns a fine supporting cast. Oh, I shouldn’t forget the home made New England Clam Chowder, that was a scrumptious meal in itself! Drinks were Wisconsin strong and service«cheesehead» friendly. The décor is achingly cute, with twinkling lights adding to the chalet like ambiance. Located in the unincorporated town of St. Lawrence, Wisconsin, the Little Red Inn is a wonderful representative of Midwest culinary legacy. «On Wisconsin!»

Fantastic food and service. A little pricey but worth it. Best in the area. Drive a little further from the Big Cedar Lake or West Bend area to get a quality meal. Service was very good and waitress was very attentive. Meals were served promptly and prepared with quality ingredients. Portion size was fair. Will definitely return! Highly recommend!

Food is always good. Atmosphere is dated. Disappointed that waitress insisted on charging for one of our kids even though she became ill before our food came and she spent the entire time in the car with rotating parents.

I had the best experience here. Food was outrageously good. The menu was incredible. Fancy for sure. I had raspberry walnut encrusted chicken, the chicken was moist and tender. Toppings were so tasty. Loved the raspberry walnut combo. My husband had steak and crab and it was so beautiful! We also had after dinner drinks and desserts, which were also delish. Enviornment was very clean including the bathroom. Staff was great! Chef came out to say hello & our waitress was very helpful. Look forward to going back.

Cutest supper club around! Friendly service, affordable and tasty! The décor here is unique and they definitely know how to make good use of old wine corks-I really enjoyed looking at their Christmas tree. Came here on a Friday night and appreciated the classic family style fish fry. Potato pancakes are a really nice touch too!

The Friday night fish fry we had was family style. We had cod, potato pancakes, french fries, cole slaw and rye bread. Family stlye is like all you can eat buffet but brought out to your table hot and fresh. The fries were crisp and the potato pancakes were wonderful with the homemade apple sauce with maple syrup. The cod was tender with a crunchy batter. The hostess was prompt and friendly. Our waitress was patient and chatty. The owner wished us a warm night on our way out. This is an authentic country supper club. So please don’t expect Cracker Barrel food and service. It’s a cultural thing here. Open your mind and be happy :-)

LOVEDIT when I ate there last summer after the last day of the Airventure Air Show in Oshkosh. I had a roast beef sandwich that was outstanding and the soup was the best I have ever had anywhere. When you have all fresh ingredients from local farms, you have a distinct advantage, but you still need to prepare it right and the chef at the Little Red Inn does.

Kind of a big«Meh. It’s OK» place. Fried shrimp were very good, Italian bread was boring, brother reports fish and potato pancakes were so-so. French fries so small, you’ll probably use a fork to keep your fingers out of the ketchup. They also pull that annoying«It will be a few minutes while we set a table.» Uh, there’s only 2 other parties back there, and all tables appear set. Translation: Sit at the bar and spend money! Other than the seating delay, the service was excellent! Honestly, if I were a local, I sure wouldn’t stay away, but I can’t see a reason to travel over 30 minutes to get here.

One of our favorite places we have found since moving to the area. It is a little pricey so, we don’t go all the time but, it is a great treat when we do! The bone in ribeye is amazing!

I had cream of spinach soup(great), tossed salad(very good), raspberry walnut chicken(fantastic!) and baked potato(fine). My guy had baked French onion soup(quite good), spinach salad(super) prime rib(done perfectly) and horseradish mashed potatoes(excellent accompaniment to the beef). Our waitress was the perfect combination of friendly, knowledgable and unobtrusive. We didn’t really NEED the brandy Alexanders for dessert but we don’t regret them either. My only small complaint with our visit was our table. It was directly behind the hostess stand. My bf(who is exceptionally tall) looked like he was kind of jutting out into the main entryway. He didn’t complain and insisted he was fine, but he’s cool like that. My view(over the shoulder of my fabulous man) was of the window into the kitchen. I concede that they were doing excellent work back there, but I was a bit envious of the couples seated in the cozy little nooks. That small complaint will not keep us from visiting this restaurant again. The food, service and overall atmosphere of the place will bring us back.

My husband and I ate here just a few days ago, we had a gift certificate. We had to wait only 10 minutes but the bar was very nice and we sat and drank a nice red wine. The bartender was friendly, the place was clean, warm and inviting. We had the specials of the night which were amazing, Surf and Turf was prepared exceptionally well along with many great sides, mushrooms, baked potato, and soup. I had the Salmon with Beet Risotto mmmm was it amazing! The service was wonderful she checked on us a few times but not too much. Lovely little place that I will have to go visit again soon!

We had our«Annual Christmas Dinner» with my husband’s family here. It was something we could all agree on. Since it was a little bit out of the way, it seemed to take forever to get here, but everything worked out. This is an odd little restaurant — it looks like a house,(maybe it was at one point) in(seemingly) the middle of nowhere. We did have reservations, and were promptly seated upstairs once we all arrived. Our waitress seemed to be learning the trade, and there were a few hiccups along the ordering process. We received our drinks and salads a little later than we would have liked(it was around holiday time and there were a lot of people, so I guess that was to be expected). The food was ‘run of the mill, Wisconsin supper club.’ That’s ok in my book: it wasn’t extraordinary, and it wasn’t crappy. It certainly wasn’t so memorable that I can recall every single detail about my meal(I had the chicken, BTW). It was just a nice family dinner at the Little Red Inn, and it was ok.

The Little Red Inn seems to be the spot for locals to meet up for a good family dinner. Such a cool building that I’m sure has been around for a very long time. The place is a lot bigger than it looks like from the outside. I have been here a hand full of times and now crave their Friday Fish Fry(I don’t think that even exists where I’m from) Its all you can eat fried and battered cod which go down very easy. This also comes with the awesome Potato Pancakes, which I tend to spread apple sauce and a bit of syrup. (again, I don’t think potato pancakes even exist in CA) They recently hosted an awesome rehearsal dinner for my cousin Brian and his new wife Jess. They packed over 30 of us in the upstairs area, and kept the food coming while putting up with our loud asses. The bartenders were constantly working and no drink was ever left unfilled.

Friendly bartender, great food — and lots of it, expect to take it home! Weekly fresh fish specials, quit an inventive chef! Presentation is quite appealing.
