This. Place. Is. A. Dump. Uneven greens, barren fairways, rocky cart paths. The price tag fits the product for sure. Yes, PAUL S, maybe back in 2007 this didn’t feel like a public course but this isn’t 2007. MDM has ruined Gillette Ridge and Laurel View and Keney Park is no exception. I love this layout and it’s a great location – but everything else is a nightmare. Please refer to my review of MDM Golf Enterprise for further reading and an in-depth analysis of how terrible this company is. If you share my sentiments please be sure to piggyback and add a review of your own to their page! Who knows, maybe they’ll start caring about public opinion…

But for the price a solid 3 star. Played today 6÷2÷13 and the conditions were very poor but reading the previous review I couldn’t pass up playing 18 holes with a cart for $ 13 booked on . We just had to pretend like we went to the driving range but we had real targets. Don’t expect too much and it’s a bargain you can’t pass up.

This great old course has fallen on hard times. I played last year and it was in great shape but not this year. The mgt. company i believe is its last year and is not keeping the course in playable condition. Lousy slow greens and 12 in rough in spots. Even the tee boxes and fairway haven’t been cut. Skip this course until someone decides to give this great old course the care it deserves.

A public golf course that doesn’t feel like one. This course opened in 1927. It’s got some narrow fairways, lots of trees and rough, some fun dogleg holes and lots of rolling terrain. The clubhouse is a beautiful Tudor-style building and features a nice picnic pavilion. The course is popular, and people compete for early morning tee times. It’s also a popular place for group golf outings. It’s part of Hartford’s Keney Park, a gigantic 654 acre park that includes riding trails, soccer and cricket grounds, baseball diamonds and lovely open space. The golf course is easy to get to off I-91 on the Hartford-Windsor line.
