Good service, love the iPads while you do a pedicure, and the points-reward system. This seems like a family run place, and has been in business for a long time. A group of 3 of us wanted to do mani-pedis for a moms afternoon out and they were able to accommodate us even though we had not made an appointment(usually I would but this was a last minute plan!). We had a great time, we were not in a rush, and it took a while, but it was nice to feel the technicians were taking their time. Wonderful hot towels for the pedicure, a really large selection of polish colors too. We had a great time, it was affordable, and I will be back.

I got to Valley Nails a few times a year. They always get me in and out fast and I think they do a good job.

I love Thomas and his salon. I needed a gel manicure and luckily I was squeezed in for a really good pedicure as well, before having to attend a formal, professional event. Valley Nails did not disappoint. Excellent service, wonderful manis and pedis, and I’m looking forward to my next appointment!

Sloppy. I have been there a few times to get my eyebrows done, the woman who has done my eyebrows never does the top of the brow and I’ve always had to ask her to do it and she seems completely irritated that I’m asking her to do so. I recently got my nails done for the first time, and was really unimpressed. I chose to do a gel manicure for a special event. The technician was fine at filing the nails, but ended up cutting 5 of my fingers with the cuticle cutter, making it really painful to wash my hands the rest of the week. When she filed my nails there was a lot of dust and she didn’t end up wiping off my nails or have me wash my hands so there was nail dust in my polish. Then to top that off I think the polish old, it didn’t go on smoothly and on a few of my nails are a little clumpy looking(nail dust and old polish). I noticed the clumpy-ness later that day in the natural light. The manicure was priced at $ 25 and there was a sign that said 10% off with a student ID, I showed my ID and the woman did nothing… I chose my battle and decided to just pay and leave. The owner is a really nice guy, friendly and welcoming but the rest of the people there don’t talk during your services, it’s so awkward. If you go, perhaps request him? He’s super sweet. If you’re looking for a cheep manicure, I suggest this place.

Rushed, sloppy, unmindful of customer. Basic manicure — The technician was not observant while filing and applying color. Asked for me to pay up front for service. The color was running out from the start so I asked if I needed to switch — answer was no. Halfway through replaced it herself with a slightly similar and really horrid color. Clear coat is stuck to my fingertips and bits of color are somehow on my knuckles. Very unhappy with my experience :(nice, never rude, but my technician did not show pride in her work.

I don’t really understand the negative reviews for Valley Nails, but I guess everyone has different experiences. I went in today to get my acrylic nails off and opted for a more natural gel manicure. Most places I have been have filed and painfully removed the tips with a sharp object. At valley nails it was a pain free process of just a soak and rub off. It took a little time but was NOT painful and did not leave my nails in a horrible condition(what happens when I usually get my fake nails removed). I then got a GREAT gel manicure done which the technician gave me 3 coats unlike most places I have been who have only given me 2. This left my nails shinier and more vibrant than had he just used 2 coats like most places. Also I’ve had a problem in the past with nail technicians not listening to how short I want my nails. Usually they are left longer than I want even after insisting I want them shorter. At Valley Nails they made sure I was happy with the results and listened to my needs carefully. The gel manicure was followed by a relaxing pedi and lots of OPI nail polish options to choose from. I had a great experience at Valley Nails and I will definitely be returning. Oh and they have a great new points system where you can earn rewards/cash towards future visits– the FIRST time I have ever seen a nail salon offer this. Go to Valley Nails and you won’t be disappointed!

RUDERUDERUDE Worst experience ever! Pedicure was fine and friendly. By the time I was ready for my manicure, the guy scraped me bed if nails with the emery board re opening a small cut making me gush blood. I didn’t make a big deal out of it until he was ready to Paint my nails and the scab was really big still. I was trying to see if he could soak it in water to make the cut smaller since he had put some freezing gel or something on the it to stop the bleeding. The owner came over and said I was causing trouble and told me I could walk out when I wanted which seemed like a threat to me and also said«oh I guess you got a free pedicure.» I was like seriously? Why ever happened to customer service and the customer being right? The owner yelled back THECUSTOMERISNEVERRIGHT. I got up to leave and went to my car and he followed me out and threatened to call The police. I did nothing wrong and the owner went from 0 – 60 in no time. Btw I went to another nail salon about a mile away called Asian Nails which was amazing. And they were able to soak my hand and get the scab down to look like original small cut. RUDERUDERUDE

I received a manicure from the older woman on a Tuesday evening. It was terrible. There was no cuticle cream and she rubbed a tiny drop of lotion into my arms which turned into basically just uncomfortable rubbing my dry arm hair around. The nail polish is thick and doesn’t dry well(making me think it is old) and I have more hangnails than I had before going. I left with visibly dry hands and thick sticky nail polish. Obviously I will not be going back.

I just recently went in BLINDLY to get my eyebrows done. I had never heard of Vally Nails before. This is by far the best eyebrow waxing I’ve gotten in Virginia. NOTKIDDING! I walk in and was seen right away but what really got me was the time put into my waxing. The woman(mistakigly didn’t get her name) waxed my eyebrows to precision! She spent her sweet time on each eyebrow getting it perfect. It was great and now when ever I’m in Harrisonburg Vally Nails will be my go to salon for my precious eyebrows. =O)
