We were seated after a few minutes upon entry. After that point everything was slow. It took the servers 15 minutes to ask about drinks. Appetizers were received after 10 minutes and then entrees 5 minutes after, before we had even finished our appetizers. The server only came once to ask if we wanted anything else to drink and then immediately asked us if we wanted our check even though we were still eating. She then added an 18% tip without asking. Her service didn’t even deserve the minimum. The food was subpar, Harrisonburg has other restaurants that offer better food and service. I would not recommend the restaurant to my friends, unless they want small, overly priced portions and bad service.

The other Thai places were closed so we decided to Unilocal and found this place. Service: we were seated immediately but we had to chase down a waiter. The water was given without straws and even when asked for, they didn’t provide it. Food: never again. It was bland and all the sauce was the same. I actually got sick within an hour of leaving the restaurant. Beware, they added 18% gratuity with our check. We weren’t told that was going to be added. Double check your check!

We were starving after a day of snowboarding at Massanutten when we came across this cute Thai restaurant. The waitstaff was so friendly, and helped with food selections, adjusting to meet our taste. We ordered the pad Thai and panang curry. Both were very flavorful and the perfect ending to the day. Will definitely be back!

Been here several times. The food is always very fresh and very good. We haven’t had a bad meal yet. The service is always good too. Drinks are kept full without asking. Just thr right amount of attention without overdoing it. Prices are average. Not too high but not cheap either. A good value.

Not too far off 81. Took our JMU student here while visiting. Food was really good, spicy-to-order so our whole party got their desired heat level. Huge potions for a good price. Hubby and I will probably get 2 more meals from what we couldn’t eat! Service was very friendly and fast. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Plenty of menu options. We will definitely return here.

This is brilliant stuff my friends. Oh sure their portion sizes are huge but don’t let that stop you. Go. Now. Get off the highway. Stop eating fast food. Get some soup. Some noodles. Something that says passion. It feels good here the food is delicious, even better for the hungry traveler. I got mine medium. It’s authentic and true to the flavors. Dammit I live in nj and cannot get Thai food this good there.

Taste of Thai is probably the best thai restaurant in Harrisonburg, VA. The cuisine is very good and is always full of flavor. The restaurant overall is very fancy and clean inside. We got four dishes: chicken fried rice, pork pad thai, chicken pad thai, and chicken curry. The friend rice was pretty normal, nothing amazing, but at the same time it wasn’t bad either. The two pad thai’s were very delicious. I think the best thing about the pad thai is that the entrée was not overly grease. The entrée had the perfect balance of flavors without the need to drench the dish on oil. The best dish was the chicken curry. Drizzle the curry and excess sauce over some white rice or fried rice and you get an amazing combo. The curry had just the right amount of spiciness and on top of that, there was no shortage of mean and veggies in the dish. The chicken curry is a must try! They also have a selection of about 6 kinds of cake and cheese cake to choose from for dessert. There was a chicken cheese cake, regular cheese cake, caramel cheesecake, peanut butter pie, fudge cake, and carrot cake. I had the caramel cheesecake and was very satisfied with the taste was itching for another slice. I think the only downside is that each slice is $ 5. This place also great for large parties because they have a separate room on the side that can be closed off. If you are in the Harrisonburg, VA area and you are craving thai food, this is the place to be.

I LOVE this place. I was a regular customer there when I worked on Garber’s Church Rd. Delicious meals with generous portions. The soups are absolutely amazing! Now that my husband and I have moved we miss it. We loved it so much we had our rehearsal dinner here and people who had never been before that came to the rehearsal have been back since because they loved it so much!

Went there are having spent the day in the Shenandoah national park area and in hope to catch a nice dinner before heading back to the hotel. First surprise was to see how full this place actually was, considering it being in a rather small city unexpected — but a pleasant surprise. Second surprise — the food. Pretty good Thai Food and not much to complain. The rise was a bit to soft cooked for my case but that is personal preference. If you are in the area and look for a Thai place, stop here.

Spacious dining area. Our waitress had a good understanding of the menu and was very helpful in explaining the dishes. The chicken Satay was moist and it was apparent the spring rolls were freshly made. Our entrees were hot and spicy. The vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly. The portions were so generous we had lunch for tomorrow to take home with no room for dessert. Prices were reasonable. . Another plus was the menu. The selection was sufficient that the hard core curry lovers as well as the more timid of taste had plenty to choose from. We will be back.

I was craving thai food for lunch on the way from NC to NJ and Unilocal helped me find this great spot. Looks can be deceptive and outside isn’t impressive but the food was amazing and so flavorful. Vegetrarian spring rolls were so tasty and crispy. I loved the fried rice and yellow curry we ordered. Must visit for thai food lovers

Usual Thai selection but it’s overpriced for a Thai place outside NYC or SF. We went based on a suggestion. We drove wrote a distance to find this location which turned out to be a very convenient spot. However, when we looked at the prices, we choose to leave because prices were higher than the place we normally cost in high prices Ashburn, VA. Prices were 15−25% higher than what we usually pay in Ashburn.

Extremely impressed by this place. The decoration is modern with tons of booth seating. I was greeted and say right away. My server was Kim who constantly made sure the drinks were filled and gave good input on what to eat. In all honesty, I came for phở however they had some random chefs special that sounded like phở. I opted and I got the beef pad se eaw instead. It was really flavorful with plenty of beef and veggies. There’s a good amount that they give you for the price too. My friend got the chicken curry and really enjoyed it. I had a little and I really enjoyed the coconut taste to it. It was a really clean place with great food and service. Definitely try it!
