Glen’s Fair Price Store

Glen’s is the best! In addition to having a massive selection of crazy novelty stuff, they have an awesome photography section and the knowledge to back it up. I went there on the recommendation of a couple of photographer friends of mine and now I see why it’s the best place in Harrisonburg when it comes to photography equipment.
For starters, the service is amazing. I am here on vacation from Brooklyn, NY so I’m definitely not used to such great service. Ernie (I believe was his name) helped us out showing us a few basic DSLR cameras. He was able to inform me on the differences between them as well as recommend the proper equipment for my situation. Without his knowledge, I definitely could have walked away feeling like I got the wrong thing. Also, he didn’t try to up sell me on additional items or warranties like a place like Best Buy would have.
To top it off, he also got me the best price on my new camera and a lens by helping me get the most out of the manufacturer rebates.
All in all, if you need camera stuff and don’t really know what you’re doing, go to Glens. Even if you know what you’re doing, I’m sure they have everything you need.

Glens is a quirky little store that I find delightful.
I’m a photographer, so I usually spend the bulk of my time perusing the photo gear. The used photography gear is not terribly well organized, but if you’re willing to dive in and brave the dust, you can find some real vintage gems.
They stock newer stuff as well, including all the current Canon EOS DSLR bodies, along with a decent selections of lenses. They always seem to have a staff member knowledgeable about photography in the store; yesterday, I passed a good half hour talking shop with the man behind the counter, and walked away with a new lens at a respectable price.
Their other inventory is eclectic, to say the least, but it’s the kind of place to go for something unusual. I vacation in this area nearly every summer, and a stop at Glens is always on my itinerary.

I love Glen’s. You will find the most unusual things in this store.

When you are totally at a loss on what to get someone for a gift, try Glen’s. They have the most off-​the-​wall stuff.
Also, it’s pretty much the best place in town if you’re trying to come up with the perfect costume. The staff is very helpful, and they know their stuff. And oddly, if you’re really into photography, they seem to have anything you might need.
