I have been to several spas in search of a high quality Brazilian. Jennah is AMAZING at waxing and threading eyebrows. I’ve also had a massage here and really enjoyed that experience(and I’ve had many massages from different establishments). The atmosphere is also really nice and relaxing. All good things from me! Would definitely recommend.

An absolutely outstanding facility. Very cozy and intimate, we were immediately welcomed by staff. We had a couples massage, room was large, comfortable and the massage was perfect. We enjoy visiting spas when we travel and Cedar Stone is on par with any top facility in any location we have ever been. Harrisonburg is fortunate to have this good of a spa. We will be back, we highly reccomend.

I first began going to this spa when my friend gave me a gift certificate for my bridal shower. After getting a massage somewhere else I just thought massages weren’t for me. After my first massage here, however, that quickly changed! They have a wide variety of staff that cater to all different types of needs for massages as well as do facials, waxing, and other treatments. What I like most about this place is the prices are so reasonable! A 45 minute massage is $ 45! The best part is they use hot stones for all of their massages which at most other places you have to pay special expensive prices for a hot stone massage. The lobby is very comforting and inviting. The entire place is designed in a very relaxing and upscale way. You don’t think you are in Harrisonburg. They have Keurigs and offer you water before and after your massage. Brandi did my first massage and she was amazing. Highly recommend her or Jerry(spelling?)

I tried several spas in Harrisonburg when I first moved here last summer, and without a doubt, Cedar Stone outshines them all. Everyone I’ve met there is personable and welcoming, and the environment is serene and exudes warmth. My massage therapist, Trisha, always takes time to actually talk to me before every session, and this contributes to me feeling that the«whole me» is important, not just the sore muscles that I’m paying to have her work on. During the massage, I feel she tunes in to what my body and my spirit need on that particular day, and she is completely responsive to my preferences. My daughter had an equally wonderful experience with Connie. If you want a personal experience with therapists who know their stuff and truly care about you as a person, I highly recommend Cedar Stone.

I have been visiting Cedar Stone for the last two years and have found that CS provides clients with a comprehensive healing experience. Therapists attend to the mental/spiritual aspects of pain management and recovery, as well as the physical by employing a number of techniques, my favorite of which involves(half) of their namesake: stonework. I encourage you to try a massage with one of the attentive therapists at Cedar Stone!

I moved into the area nearly two years ago and tried(unsuccessfully) for many months before discovering Cedar Stone and, in particular, Trisha. A great massage therapist is important to me because of my stressful, demanding work – hours at the computer and/or driving – and I now have been getting massages for approximately 30 years(long before they became«fashionable»). In addition, when I travel, I often try out local spas for comparison sake. Thus… I am a critical recipient of massages. I expect a lot from my massage therapist and do not return if I am less than satisfied. I have now found my massage therapy home at Cedar Stone and my massage therapist in Trisha. I like that the atmosphere is calm and quiet – and, of course, I expect and am perfectly satisfied with the cleanliness of the facility as well as the massage rooms. As to Trisha… she is the best massage therapist I have ever had(and I say that while thinking about my fantastic massage therapist in Ohio, where I lived before moving to Harrisonburg). It is clear to me that Trisha enjoys giving massages and that she has her clients’ wishes and best interests at heart. Her hands are strong, and she really pays attention to the things I tell her about various aches and pains before she begins. She remembers particular sensitivities that I have(for example, I am always cold, and she deals with that issue immediately during my massages). And I never feel rushed or pushed out the door when my massage is finished. Plus, she makes every effort to accommodate my schedule, which can be challenging. I trust her so completely that I convinced my husband to «adopt» her as his massage therapist. He, too, is very glad that we found her. There is no question that I will continue going to Cedar Stone Spa for massage therapy with Trisha. She is an amazing and gifted woman whose warmth and personality add to the overall experience.

Overall – not fantastic. I don’t consider myself picky when it comes to massages. I have had one professional massage and then others from friends/family/boyfriend. I just say do it on my shoulders and I’m good. I specifically told my massage therapist that I had some back pain because I am at the computer all day at work and I hunch over a lot. I said I love massages all around my shoulders, top of shoulders, neck, head, and back. I feel like she literally did everything but that. The massage I got was definitely nice and relaxing, but it was not worth the money at all. If I wanted to be rubbed down with oil, then have hot stones pushed into me everywhere but where it would have felt good, then I would have maybe done it for $ 20. So why do I still feel stressed, tense, in pain, etc after $ 45? She lightly massaged my hands, roughly rubbed down my arms, pushed weirdly on my stomach and legs, and pulled my limbs in different directions. When she did run the stones over my back it really just felt like a shower in terms of heat and pressure. I actually found the massage uncomfortable and painful. It wasn’t fluid or focused. It was a systematic rub down with some extra pinching and poking. I didn’t get any deep tissue which is what I wanted. I didn’t get the typical kneading around the shoulders and back that I wanted. So not a great experience. Not to mention they made us wait 10 min before they took us back and then made us wait another 10 minutes before starting. And then they took forever getting payment figured out. My day was booked with stressful appointments so I allotted this hour+ window for a bit of relaxation that had kept getting postponed. We got out of there 55 minutes later than expected for a mediocre massage. But hey maybe it was just my experience. My boyfriend had a great time.

A truly fantastic massage. The spa has a very peaceful atmosphere, and the therapists use a variety of techniques like hot and cold stones, drumming, reiki, acupressure, customized to whatever will best serve your body. I felt completely comfortable from start to finish, and the massages I’ve gotten here have really helped with my computer-job-related neck and back tension. I’ll definitely be back!

I recently visited Cedar Stone Spa for the first time. My experience from start to finish was amazing. When you walk in you enter a place of peace and tranquility. I was welcomed by Brad who introduced himself and made me feel very welcome. He offered me a drink while I filled out a quick form. Then I met my masseur, Sean, who was very friendly and put me at ease. He made sure to ask key questions like any problem areas or pain I may be experiencing before the massage began. He was very professional and gave me one of(if not the best) massage I have ever had. I feel lighter, less tense, and I have greater mobility. I feel awesome and look forward to returning in the future. I also should point out I never felt rushed in anyway. Sometimes spas are so busy that the point of a relaxing environment is missed by the staff. Not at Cedar Stone Spa. Everyone I met had a calming presence and I tried to soak it in as much as I could. The building itself it gorgeous. Each room is warm and inviting. Although I have never been to a yoga class, the yoga studio(The Nest) is equally beautiful.
