S & R Diner

So we just moved to town. Literally Saturday at 11pm and the moving truck was so jammed full that we slept on our mattresses on the floor. The next morning we were disgusting and still in our clothes from the day before. We ran out to get breakfast at this little gem. The waitress was kind and the food was delicious. I had the skillet with Ham, peppers and onions. They made the kids special Mickey mouse pancakes. We ended up ordering pizza delivery later the same day to feed our moving helpers. The pizza arrived hot and was really really good. You should know we relocated from outside of Chicago so we are picky when it comes to pizza. We also had some boneless wings on our order and those were tasty too. I’d definitely recommend stopping in to the S&R if your in town :-)

First of all, be aware that this is a cash only place, which they do not make clear to you when you arrive. However, this amazing local diner place gets four stars for being just so dang good. They serve breakfast all day as well as lunch and dinner fare. We had huge omelettes and giant plates of biscuits and gravy and huge delicious pancakes and crispy bacon and and and… wow. All for really really cheap cost. Delicious. S stands for Sherry and R is for Ralph. They are warm and friendly and worth a visit.
