I’m yet to have a bad experience and I live around the corner. For cookies, the raspberry linzer tarts are the best I’ve ever had. Any family gathering I bring at least 1lb and everyone loves them. The chocolate rugala is criminal it’s so good. for Cakes i love the blackout cake. it’s a hit every time. I don’t come here for coffee or egg sandwiches, I come for the bakery items.

Yum Yum, bought a cheesecake recently to bring to a party on a recommendation from a friend. Rave reviews!!! Rich and creamy. It was gone in seconds. I loved it and so did everyone else. I have also had a fruit tart from here and again It was delicious and beautiful. Just ordered this and a cheesecake for the holidays. As for anyone with a bad attitude, I haven’t come across this situation. Liquor store to right, supermarket to the left. This is a one stop shop for me!

I’m with Corinne. The chocolate danish strip is heavenly. Donuts, breads and cookies are great. Fruit tart too. Apple pie was a bit bland. Prices are very reasonable. I admit the management/owner personality can be gruff, but they also usually have some nice, respectful kids working there.

After seeing the negative reviews for this bakery, I had to leave a great one. Do not be fooled by the negative reviews: this is a great, old-school Westchester bakery. I am a baked-goods enthusiast to say the least and an avid baker myself, and this bakery produces the best melt-away /coffee cake I have ever had. Just home made goodness done like it used to be. The portions are great for the price, they have a huge variety of classic treats from donuts to baklava to cookies, and they offer some delicious hot breakfast items as well. Challah french toast anyone? True, some of their employees are a bit brusque, but let’s please remember that these are experienced bakers who wake up at 3AM to produce these fresh treats every morning! I will take a curt New York attitude any day if it means preserving a classic shop like this.

I have been to this bake shop at 8:30 in the morning and have asked for the same pastry(Napoleon) and they never have it! This is a bake shop without pastry! I only stop by because it’s on my way to work. This is so frustrating and the owner(I think he’s the owner) has the personality of a bag of rocks!!! They definitely need some customer service training! It’s a real shame because they really do make the best Napoleon cake I’ve ever had! Also, THEYWERECLOSEDONMEMORIALDAY!!! What bakery is closed on this holiday? Harrison Bake Shop is!

Went to buy one coffee one tea. Place was better years ago before it was sold but like to support local so went in. They charged for a large tea. I said oh I took one tea bag. Starbucks charges for a large tea if you want two tea bags. I got a lecture that water and large cups cost more so if you take a large cup tea or coffee it is $ 2. I was stocked as my large cup was not very large and the guy before me double cupped his coffee and only paid for one cup. It was not the money it was the attitude. Honest an extra 4 oz of water and a slightly large cup cost, 50 cents more, I would never go back

Food is a hit or miss depending what you get. Staff is so unprofessional. Too busy talking to help is a VERY true statement. Ordering egg sandwiches takes way too long. They pick the phone up & take orders when there’s customers waiting. Saw a cockroach on a bag of cookies & twice there was something in the muffins, piece of paper & a piece of Brillo or something. It’s ashame but they don’t deserve to have customers.

I think this shop opened before I was born. I remember it as a staple while growing up in Harrison. The good news is that it remains and still delivers. While a little pricy on the cookies($ 13.50 per pound), I never saw a box of baked treats get gobbled up so fast by the likes of the kids to whom I brought the goods! I did manage to taste a few, and they were excellent. The better deal was the apple ring cake. It was only $ 9.50 and seemed to go a longer way. I had to leave sooner than I wanted, or else I would have turned into Homer Simpson, and the only sounds you would have heard were«Nom…Nom…Nom.» Tip: Cash and checks only!
