Cadron Creek Catfish House

Worst food I have ever eaten. This only good thing was the ice cream. Catfish tasted like mud. Don’t know way they have a crowd. Eww

We finally got a chance to give this place a try yesterday. They have very (see: extremely) limited operating hours and the days and times we head through Harrison, this place usually isn’t open.
We found ourselves heading through town earlier than normal yesterday and decided to pull in here and give this place a try. Wow, what a good decision that was.
This is country cookin’ at some of its finest and I seriously doubt you’ll find a better place to eat in the area. It’s buffet style with all the comfort food classics (catfish filets and steaks, hushpuppies, shrimp, gumbo, chicken, baked beans, corn, etc.) along with a salad bar and dessert bar.
Everything we had, literally everything, was delicious. It wasn’t the absolute best catfish I’ve had in my life, but it was still really good… the tartar sauce was a little too pickle-​y (if that’s a word) which probably kept it from being at the top of the list. I like tartar sauce but there’s had a little too much of something in it.
Still, great food and the service was friendly, quick, and welcoming. We will definitely hope to catch this place open again sometime down the road!
