Although I have lived in Harrison township for ten years this was my first visit. Busy Friday night but the service was exceptional, great casual ambiance and delicious food. Had they fish tacos and I’ll be back

Haven’t been here in a while due to bad past experiences, I must say the new menu is amazing. Everything my husband and I had was delicious. Only thing I would recommend is somehow getting rid of that old whole in the wall bar smell.

Kitchen is Filthy!!! Air ducts in restaurant area are covered in 15 year old dust. Makes you wonder who the manager or owner is and why they let this place go. Very sad because this was a great place for boaters to go after a day on the water.

I’ve been coming here for years, since I was a kid and it’s always been great for me. They offer lots of great food and specials. The crabby chicken is especially awesome! I know they were getting a bad rap for a minute, but go back and give them a chance, you won’t be disappointed! /crabby!

I rarely come here due to distance but when I do stop in I am never disappointed. I usually get the perch because I can not find another place that prepares perch better. The perch is lightly coated, fried to perfection and there is plenty of it. Today mom had the perch and I had the Walleye. This place knows how to fry fish! I loved the Walleye as it was tender, flakey and thick. I chose french fries for the potatoes and thought the little fry basket they came in was super-cute; the fries were delicious. We ordered the shrimp & grits appetizer. I thought it tasted like warm Cheetos. I don’t care for Cheetos but I thought this was yummy. There were several large shrimp on 3 beds of warm, cheesy grits… mmmm good. I liked that they had a nice selection of wine. Sometimes there is wine on the menu but you can’t find a good brand of wine. I was happy to see they offered Kendall Jackson Cabernet Sauvignon — an excellent stand by for a deep, smooth red wine. I liked that they served it in a proper wine glass and not some dumb jug, jar or water glass; I know I’m getting picky but at $ 9.00 a glass I prefer it is served properly. It is very dark inside with a mixed match of tables, booths, TV’s and, YAY!, a pull-tab machine.

Went here with my girlfriend’s family for her sister’s birthday. I had heard good things from the people who had been there before, so I was excited. The building is older, low ceilings, with a pub feel to it. Plenty of fun décor and TVs to watch the game. I really liked the atmosphere. There was also a small patio area that was enclosed for the winter with little fires to keep warm. Their claim to fame was their seafood(apparently they won a Macomb Daily award). I ordered the regular fish and chips, but got the roasted potatoes instead of the fries. I also had their soup of the day, which was a chili-style meatless soup. They also had a nice selection of craft beer. I ordered an IPA… can’t remember the name of it. The soup was delicious. I could have had a big bowl of this for dinner and I would have been completely satisfied. The fish was pretty good, but not phenomenal. Others at the table also ordered different types of fish, and there were no complaints. The potatoes were excellent. I’m glad I ordered them instead of the fries. Service was pretty good. A few minor slip ups, but nothing I wouldn’t expect for a larger group. The server was very helpful and patient for the indecisive people in the group. Great atmosphere, good service, and good food. I would definitely return if I’m in the area again.

Went here for brunch today. The mimosas and drinks were great. However, everyone in our group felt the food was just average. There was a pretty long wait for our food even though there weren’t that many people in the restaurant.

I absolutely love this place! The food is great every time I come here; I am never disappointed. I like the blackened chicken sandwich and their fish and chips the best. My favorite things, though, are the specials and the drink selection. I love being able to choose the beer that goes into my flight. It makes the experience that much more enjoyable. It seems like every time I go there, the beer selection grows also. I always receive excellent, speedy service. I’d recommend it to anyone! Also– get the reward card and sign up for the texts!

Not impressed… at all. Ok well maybe by the atmosphere and they have a Barcade with my absolute favorite pinball game… Theatre of Magic. Ok. I digress. The food, oh I really wanted to love the food, but we didn’t. $ 60 for 2 people and we really weren’t that full and no alcohol either. I ordered the lobster bisque… sounds amazing right? Nope. There was more bisque then anything and a few random slices of celery. And a tiny lump of lobster in the center. It was almost comical, well it was because that soup was $ 7. Then our seafood entrees came with soup or salad. So since I was already getting a $ 7 bowl of soup I got the salad. Boring. No shredded cheese, no croutons and not even romaine. The entrees… small and the fries awful. Both my husband and I were so disappointed. Should we happen to visit this place again we both agreed no seafood. We honestly would have had a better meal at Red Lobster. Boo & hiss all you want. I’ve loved that chain restaurant for years. ;)

First time at Terry’s. We were in St. Clair Shores boat shopping, decided to give it a try even after our salesman gave a thumbs down. Well, we loved the place the minute we walked in the door. AMAZING beer selection! TV’s on with college football games, but wasn’t over powered by the noise. Upbeat, modern music playing. Loved the tall booths. Decent menu selection. We had lobster tail, walleye and house sirloin… all very delicious. I feel they could jazz up their presentation, wasn’t «wowed.» TARA. Our sever, killed it! She immediately adapted to our behavior, made us feel very welcomed as if we were weekly regulars. Kudos Tara! If in St Clair again, will definitely stop, hope it to be during their brunch hours.

Upbeat atmosphere, and the air was a-kickin’ on a hot day. Friendly, attentive service. Doo-dads to check out whilst waiting for your food. Fun video games! Great beer selection. Got our crab stuffed mushrooms and they were to DIE for! SO incredibly good with warm and gooey cheese and crab flavor explosions. Pricey, but worth it. Got my turkey pretzel sandwich and it was… small. Pretzel bun about the size of my palm, like you find at the grocery store, a small amount of cheese and turkey in there somewhere. Some sauce or a tomato slice was needed… it was kinda dry. For $ 10 it doesn’t come with anything, either-thank God I went for the upsold fries and slaw. Small amounts of both, but they were tasty. The sides are served on your plate in separate little dishes-I get the feeling this is to help cover empty plate space with conservative amounts of food. The husband’s perch was great, but a meager portion as well. We enjoyed, but sadly our festive mood was tainted by the prices. What we spent on one app, 2 meals(one entrée, one sandwich), fountain drinks, and a dessert at Terry’s would have afforded us a nice, full dinner at an upscale place. We hoped to discover a regular hangout with a «nauty» vibe. In the end, our booty was pillaged with no takeout containers to show for it! Ah, but those stuffed mushrooms beckon from the rocks like the delectable crab & cheese covered sirens they are. Wallets, ahoy!

We haven’t been here to eat in awhile. So happy we came for brunch. Steak eggs Benedict is really good. Sort of spicy Cajun cause is tasty. Steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Ham and Gouda pretzel sandwich is great. Comes with cole slaw that’s good. Ham is grilled before it’s put on the sandwich — makes it great. We will be back for more brunch and maybe a prime rib! $ 12.95 endless Bloody Mary or mimosa

They serve brunch on Sunday mornings, so a Western Frittata did the trick. On a previous visit, they were running a *twin lobster tails* for $ 24 special. My meal was good, but I found the portions to be a bit small for the price. I guess I’m used to all the diner-style restaurants in the area and was a bit disappointed when presented with my order. Otherwise, the service was good and the meal came out in good time, as well. I will stop in from time to time, but probably more to have a drink than to have a meal.

I’m surprised at all the hate this place has gotten on Unilocal,as I have eaten here a minimum of three times and have found it more than satisfactory each time. The building is kind of on its own right off Jefferson, and there is adequate parking on numerous ends of the building. The atmosphere is pretty good inside, especially at the bar. It is a large bar that looks classy, and it’s nice to have a great bar when you have around 50 craft beers on tap — which they claim is the most beers on tap in Macomb County. I wouldn’t doubt it. The beers are amazing, too, and from all over Michigan and the U.S. I give it an A+ for beverages. The menu is also big enough to always find something new, while it’s not too big that’s it’s overwhelming. They have calamari and chips and dip as starters, or you can go straight into the thick of things. I’ve eaten lobster mac, ribs and burgers here — all very good and filling. The prices are kind of on the steeper side, but it’s really not all that bad at all when you consider what you get with most meals: soup or salad(salads are good), plus a side with the entrée. For the ribs you get a choice of potato, which includes mashed, redskin, French fries, etc. The fries are pretty solid, too. The service is usually always very good as well. One time we had kind of a slow experience with a server, but it was just her I think because all the other times have been above average in terms of service — even during bustling Friday or Saturday evenings. I enjoy coming here, close to the water, and enjoying good drinks and good food with good people. And just a note: the person who owns this establishment also owns Ale Mary’s in Royal Oak. Both are newer favorites of mine.

I am updating my review as the place has gotten a lot better since the new owner took over. Good foo, great beer selection and fun specials throughout the week. One weird thing though. There’s a green Kia parked right at the front door every day.(I live down the street and drive by a few time a day). It seems it’s an employee as it really is there every single day. Why take a space right in front of the door? Terry’s has limited parking as it is — you’d think workers would park father away.

Had stayed away from Terry’s for awhile, but since the nice cleaning and good beer selection was added we had become regulars over the last 6 months or so. That ended quickly with our experience tonight. Called for a 6pm bar side booth reservation as we know it fills up fast and the rest of the restaurant is not very comfortable, confirmed res at approximately 4:30. We arrived at 5:50, were told the booth which was being held was for a 5:45 reservation so we couldn’t have it. That party arrived at 6:00, promptly seated and very warmly welcomed as we stood waiting. I, being livid at this point after having a horrible day as it was, wanted to leave right then, but the hubs had more patience. We walked out at 6:17…with a hardly caring…“Oh, sorry about that.“ If you cannot uphold your reservations there is a SUPER easy fix… Don’t take them!

Updated Review: Out first visit was with the old menu and prior to their expansion to 50 taps. While our last visit was 5 stars based on food, service and beverage options, this visit is worthy of 5+ stars. From our wait at the bar for our table, to service once sat, service set the bar high last night. Attention to detail. Friendly. New food menu? Incredible. Slimmed down from what we had on our last visit, the fewer options the better. Nice work Terry’s Terrace! Expanded 50 taps of beer. Wow. While some of the standards exist, they have many, many, of the hard to find(tap or bottles) craft beers. Knee Deep Simtra? Seriously? AND you can get a growler of your favorite beer to go? It’s like a candy store but for lovers of great beer. Hour drive one way and well worth it. We’ll be back!

I had a review on here a while back, but management must have been successful at having it removed somehow, despite the fact that Unilocal claims that it can’t happen. Management/Ownership was very responsive, offered me an invite to come in and have dinner on them and write a new review. I agreed, but they never sent the gift card they promised. What better way to further anger a former client, but to offer them something for their horrible experience, then never deliver it to them… I honestly believe they had every intention of making good on the promise, but their follow through is horrible, as is their operation of their restaurant. This is the jist of my prior review: The food is generally over priced and poorly executed. The Crabby Chicken sounds like an amazing dish, but rather than perfectly cooked, oven baked chicken breast(first mistake, who«oven bakes» chicken and has it taste good?) with amazing crab sauce and pieces of lump crab meat, it’s two pieces of saturated, soggy chicken(of course it’s soggy, it sat in an oven for an hour, and on a hot plate or in a fridge waiting to get re-heated), with tiny bits of imitation«krab» with a K. The dish is over priced and horrible for what it is. The beer selection is underwhelming and their beers are overpriced as well. For a company that boasts that their beer selections are hand picked by Heather Ritts, someone allegedly affiliated with the Cicerone Program, how they have 6 taps dedicated to Miller Light, Bud Light, «Badass»(Kid Rock’s version of Budwiser), Killians, Labatt Blue, and Bluemoon is beyond me. Their two, count them, two«craft beers» on tap are garbage that I’ve never heard of. If it were my restaurant someone would be fired, and her name would be Heather. Either ownership is getting in the way of a competent staff, or ownership isn’t hiring competent people. Either way the result is the same. Over priced food and drinks, and piss poor service.
