The male pharmacist, Andy, is a rude, pompous, condescending poor example of a professional. While picking up medication, I was behind a young woman who was absolutely berated by this man. She was picking up an Rx, and she was also purchasing beer along with a few other things. Without regard for this young womans’ privacy, Andy proceeded to loudly reprimand her stating that she should not be drinking beer with the medication she was picking up. He loudly named the medicine she was taking(which i forget now) and he ripped the beer down from counter and refused to sell it to the woman, who noted that she wasn’t drinking the beer that it was for a function she was attending. This was so uncalled for and so out of line!!! I have witnessed this man be rude, confrontational, snippy, condescending and just plain unprofessional with customers. This is a small town, and he needs to be replaced. The techs that are forced to work with him are amazingly accommodating and kind, but they are no stranger to this mans behavior either. Rite Aid wake up! He’s a liability and if he keeps up this behavior a lawsuit over privacy is definitely in your future.

Dear Rite Aid: I am irritated and offended that I must continually decline the Plenti card upgrade. I DONOTWANTIT and I am sick and tired of having to justify my reason for not upgrading to the cashier. One cashier honestly shared with us that she would get yelled at by their manager if we don’t upgrade. 1. THATISILLEGALANDINVIOLATIONEQUALOPPORTUNITYEMPLOYMENT, not to mention safe workplace. I’m quite certain the job description for a cashier does not include Plenti card upgrades. Shame on you if you are pressuring your employees to the point that they feel the need to harass your customers. 2. If they continue to harass and badger us, I will start with moving my prescriptions to Kroger, which is 10 miles further away but with a far less intrusive staff. Next step will be everything else. We’ll go back to CVS extra care bucks, even though they are incredibly inconvenient. 3. I like my Rite Aid Benefits alot. I like them as is. I see no reason to share my information with other companies that I DON’T PATRONIZE, just so they can start bombarding me with emails, text and mail that I DONOTWANT. I’m sorry your marketing people made a bad deal with Amex. I’m sorry your customers are smart enough to know it’s a bad deal. I’m sorry that every consumer protection site is reviewing the Plenti card as a farce, waste of time and not worth the effort while offering no concrete benefits. But, your marketing people’s bad plan, and your executives lack of prepatory initiative prior to launch, cannot be overcome by shoving it down your customers throats. Seriously, you are driving us away as customers, and Rite Aid is walking distance from our home!

I practically live across the street and will do anything to avoid giving this store my business. I’ve had that cranky old manager(?) guy lock the door on me trying to go in 5 minutes before closing time. I told him I had a 4 month old baby not feeling well and I knew exactly what I wanted to grab off the infant drops shelf — NOPE. I drove into Mt. Clemens to Walgreens for what I needed. I was in again more recently, I was at the check out 10 minutes before closing when a customer walked in the door. The girl at the register snarled at that old manager(?) guy and said«lock the doors!» I looked at the time and was quickly reminded why I hadn’t been back for several months. I really want to support my local businesses but when they don’t appreciate me and the staff is «snarly» I just can’t! Sorry South River Rite Aid, I liked you much better when you were simply«Bridgeview Drugs». I won’t be back any time soon.
