The ham and bean soup was amazing. It wasn’t overloaded with beans. It had a perfect balance of carrots, celery and a few potatoes with big chunks of ham. The $ 10 perch dinner was great !!! It was served with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. Unlimited refills of ice tea. It don’t get no better !!!

If you look up dive bar in the dictionary you’re going to find an 8×10 glossy of this establishment But don’t let that discourage you from coming to this place LOL.
The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious barfood and there are plenty of TVs to watch that sporting event. If you are in the Harrison Township area you must check this place out. It’s mostly locals but you’ll have a wonderful time.

My girlfriend and I love JSP best bar in HTP! The burgers are great. Beer is cold. I mean you can’t really ask for anything else. It gets better– awesome servers who call their customers by name.

Me and my girl come here for karaōke on occasion on Friday nights. While it’s certainly a dive place, it does have good karaōke.
Service has always been good. Pitchers of beer are affordable, about $ 6 each. It’s about the cheapest way to get your drink on over here, I think. Of course, if a Tigers game is on, you can get cheap cans of Bud. Another cheap route, but only if a game is on.
The food is decent. I like the chicken fingers. Bar food, so I don’t have a lot to say about it.

On a bar-​hopping mission, I drove by, then turned around and drove back when I noticed the bar. They have an outside patio of sorts, but when I arrived, I noticed the fishflies were beginning to congregate, so they shut off all the outside lights.
I decided to go inside for my 1st visit. I sat at the bar and ordered a Canadian beer. Of the 3 bars I visited that had it — Labatt Blue Light was $ 3.75 bottle here ($ 2.75 and $ 3.00 at the other two).
The bartender was friendly enough. Service for my one beer was good. The Tigers were on the TV, but they were losing, so no need to stay.
It looked like karaōke was firing up — lots of country music last night.

Went back to see if anything has changed. Guess what… it has for the worse if that was possible. The waitresses/​bartenders think they are God’s gift to the world. They belong on the dayshift at a low-​class strip club. Our waitress (the one with braces) had some sort of outbreak on her boobs that looked like MRSA. She was touching it and then touching the food and drink glasses. Someone call the health department! It was still filled with pervs and hillbillies. Reminds me of Hooters… without the class. Avoid!!!

Pleasantly Surprised! In my mind a four for a neighborhood bar is a top rating! I Moved to this side of town seven years ago, and used to see the sheriff here on a regular basis. So, I avoided the place until a few weeks back. But, things have improved. Yes, it’s a dive bar, but really is that a bad thing? Service is friendly, drinks are good and affordable, and food is surprisingly good and cheap. So, for a quick bite, live music and a couple drinks you should check them out.

shirly, the afternoon barmaid is one of the best barmaids i have known. people come in the jsp just to see her. friendly and good sense of humer, she makes sure that she serves people with a friendly attitude. many years of experiemce. loved by many regular patrons.

Lived nearby for many years and saw a lot of changes. I was looking forward to lunch with a friend and dropped in… for the first time in a long time.
Pleasantly surprised at the new décor, a much needed upgrade.
There were a handful of people at the bar, we were the only patrons seated at a table.
We called the barmaid over to place our food order. We started to talk about their list of daily «shot» specials.
She barely answered our questions, slapping the menu against her palm the whole time, interrupted the bar list discussion with «is THIS what you called me over here for? «
Needless to say, we never tried the food.
Will never be back.

This is a local bar that’s got good prices on drinks and good pours. Nothing fancy here folks. Not a good place to start any trouble, but I’ve always found everyone there super friendly. If you’re looking for fancy, this is not your place.
