This place is cute and the ingredients are clearly organic, fresh, and delicious. I had their turkey pesto sandwich, which was a delight. Perfect place for a quick lunch or coffee. Cute coffeeshop vibes with a homey touch.

Great breakfast location — good value. Thought it would look be more crowded — I had the tomato pie, daughter had veggie flipper — both excellent — not too much food! We shared a green smoothie.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this place in Harrisburg. It is kind of out of nowhere — a few miles from downtown Harrisburg. I was looking for a place to get work done. Here are all positives about this place –the best salad dressing: mix of olive oil and white vinaigrette, just right amount of sweet and tart flavor –they have a section where you can order at the bar and they serve food. this area was perfect for people who are working alone. quiet and spacious –drinks: i ordered earl grey and it was really good. I ended up getting a cup of latte and it was good as well –I got black bean quinoa burger and it was good for being a healthy option. Nothing spectacular but delicious. –Cute décor and quiet music The only negative part was their wifi without password. I noticed lots of places in Harrisburg does not lock their wifi. I would love to have a joint like this in Baltimore. Check it out if you are in the area.

Really enjoyed the Tomato Pie — never had it before but it was really good. My friend ordered something else that was really good also. But the best thing was this Lemon salad dressing, we got a bottle of it to take home. It’s tucked back a little bit off the main highway so make sure you go back far enough to get to it. Have dined both inside and outside and enjoyed both.

Stopped in for a Sunday brunch and was nicely surprised with this local eatery. Nice trendy atmosphere & friendly people! We were greeted by the hostess who was quite friendly. They had both indoor and outdoor seatings to choose from. Outdoor seating only gets food dropped off to the table by the wait staff after you order your items and prepay with tip at the counter. Any water or ect items need to be picked up from self service service station. Indoor seems to be pretty standard wait service. We chose to sit outdoor and went to order by the ‘order here’ sign. Our order was taken by a server named ‘Miracle’. His vibe was very happy and pleasant to be around. Ordered an avocado toast, fruit cup, tomato pie, milk shake and a cup of coffee. Food was delicious and price was very reasonable. Tomato pie was very similar to being a thick quish with all the flavors amplified. It was served with rosemary potatoes which was very nice. Milk shake was very thick and very sweet. Avocado toast was tasty. They have a signature bottle of white balsamic on each table and sell them at the counter. White lemon balsamic was quite delicious. If I was a local, I’d definitely visit them again!

It was so close to being great… I had such high hopes. The ambiance was cute, the authenticity was lacking. Same with the service. It wasn’t bad. It was just not quite. The quiche was good. The only thing I would give a solid thumbs down to was the smoothie. It was so sticky sweet I didn’t finish it.

Very impressed, first time here to eat! Had the Tomato Pie for Breakfast. Wait staff was very nice and pleasant to talk to. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a change of pace for the morning routine.

Is it possible to give zero stars? The gentleman at the register was rude. When asked for suggestions he suggested I read the descriptions. My French press coffee was served already pressed without cream or sugar, the tomato pie was cold and runny. The grilled cheese and artichoke was cold — and oh, was missing cheese. This restaurant, we decided, had to be some sort of front for another business as they clearly had no ability to deliver on any item. Nice décor. PS — cold soup. Seriously. Don’t go — We left utterly disappointed.

I really enjoy this place. The food and atmosphere is great. I also love that they have a sit down area and a café area. My only issue is the coffee always tastes acidic. I prefer coffee with more base.

I was pretty excited to try this place after seeing the high overall rating on Unilocal and reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews. In summary, the food was great and the place was decent(but very strong on the hipster vibe — all the staff wear hipster hats or bowlers, vests, and there are a lot of curled, waxed mustaches and nose piercings going on). Unfortunately they have terrible service delivered by unconcerned, oblivious staff. Not even an exquisite meal could have redeemed their incompetence and indifference. We waited at the end of the line to be seated by the hostess and it was finally our turn. Right as she made eye contact with us and approached to ask how many were in our party a man from another table stepped right in front of us like we didn’t exist and asked to be moved to a different table. This was rude on his part but she immediately responded to his request and had his party reseated without so much as an «I will be right with you» or an apology for leaving us waiting. Our waitress, like the rest of the wait staff, was barely out of high school. She was at least friendly and polite. The rest seemed to be parading the ever prevalent millennial attitude which is apathy mixed with an air of «I’m doing you a favor». To be fair, strong management would be required to get this inexperienced team motivated and competent in the«art» of their jobs but that is evidently absent. We ordered our drinks and meals right off the bat after a quick review of the menu. The food all sounded delightful. For beverages we ordered a coffee, latte, Diet Coke and herbed lemonade(delicious!) for our party of four. All but the latte came within a few minutes. About 15 minutes later we catch the attention of the waitress to point out we were still waiting for the latte. I fully expected it was made but had been forgotten or delivered to someone else. That was not the case. Apparently the drinks coming from the barista area were in a backlog and they had not even started making it yet(what?! More on this later). Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I assumed perhaps they were prioritizing the to-go coffee orders. As you will learn later, no such strategy exists. Shortly after, our food is delivered. Our waitress has absolutely no recollection of who ordered what but I guess this isn’t a 5 star restaurant in NYC and no one in here is going for service professional of the year, so I’ll let it go. We all tuck in. Eggs and Irish Whiskey beans on toast(excellent!), Brie, egg and bacon sandwich(also great!), salmon and eggs Benedict(decent) and sausage and squash hash(way too much fennel and rosemary. A few minutes later a pissed-off looking 20-something woman slams the latte down on our table and stomps away. The rest of the meal is uneventful and we pay our check and get ready to leave. At this point I have the worst idea I’ve had in a long time. I decide to go over to the«to-go» coffee area and order a hot tea to go. For anyone who has ever ordered hot tea at an actual coffee shop you’ll have noticed that this drink is either prioritized over the other more time consuming drinks, or the person that took the order will prepare the beverage leaving the baristas to focus on the coffee drinks. No such thing here. The person behind the register was only taking orders. Not that many people were coming to the counter so mostly he was just standing around. There was one guy making coffee(One guy! That’s it! During Sunday brunch hours! For both the restaurant orders and the to-go orders!) and he was obviously hung over or pissed off about something because every thing he lifted he slammed back down. At this point we were standing at the bar right in front of the barista so we were able to observe what the heck was going on with the coffee orders(this is a café right? A coffee shop?). Back to the sole barista. I’ve never seen anyone work so slowly or indifferently in my life. All the drink order tickets he lined up and prepared, one at a time, in the order they were received. No multi tasking or looking ahead to pull forward to-go orders or easy orders. Then there was another girl(the same one that slammed the latte down on the table earlier) who’s sole job seemed to be delivering the beverages. In between delivering beverages, rather than pitching in a hand to the barista, she made her self a smoothie and started drinking that. And why on earth would there not be more than one person making coffee during Sunday brunch? Meanwhile, a couple of ladies sat down at the bar to order breakfast. Do you think anyone acknowledged them? For the 15 minutes we stood there waiting for a single TEA, not one person said anything to them. Anyway, 15 minutes later I finally receive the tea and walked out never to return again.

Right off the bat it really irks me that the tomato pie Café doesn’t except reservations unless you have a party over five! I’ve only been there around lunch time on the Friday, which was really busy! When I got there I asked how long the wait would be she gave me about a 20 minute wait! Which was annoying because I called ahead of time when they informed me that I couldn’t make reservations because my party was less than five she told me not to worry because they weren’t busy! The hostess offered for us to sit at the coffee bar(which didn’t have any empty seat) or at the self-serve table(which was covered with dirty dishes from other people). GRRR!!! We decided just to wait for a table. The service is mediocre, but the food is really good! I personally did not have the tomato pie but I’m sure it’s delicious(that’s what they’re known for tomato pie, tomato pie café. Get it?) I had the chicken pesto sandwich, which is my fav! Then I also had the fresh farm vegetable soup(soooo good) and I tried the broccoli cheddar soup(which had bacon in it, which I personally thought was gross). Their herb lemonade is awesome! I think their prices are fair not to expensive but not super cheap. I will probably go back.

Isaiah, a masterful barista, is excellent. He asked me what I wanted to drink. I said, «Make me something good.» He smiled, looked at me for a second, and went to work. He came back with the best cortado of all time. Simply perfect. This dude knows what he is doing. P. S. Beans are locally roasted by Square One, too.

The service is always friendly. Their red tea latter made with almond milk is to die for! The rosemary herb scone and their house lemon in white balsamic dressing is delicious! Their menu is unique and you can do half salad half sandwich combos with some of their lunch items which taste great and have a healthier option. I do hope they have a few more vegan friendly items to have more options on the days that I am vegetarian. Whenever I’m in Harrisburg for work I make sure I get in a visit :) I would highly recommend this place!

This is our favorite place for Saturday breakfast and one of the few places that makes a cappuccino the way I like it: Mostly espresso in a tiny cup with frothed milk. They offer almond and macadamia milk for your espresso drinks which is nice. They switch out the front page of their menu each month offering a number of specials. Usually featuring seasonal produce or flavors. My go-to for breakfast is either a flipper(veggie or mediterranean) or the Fennel Sausage and Squash hash. The egg dishes all come with either roasted rosemary potatoes or a grit cake. I love them both! Also nice for lunch with soups, sandwiches and quiches in many interesting concoctions. The hummus platter is worth your time if you like that kind of thing. Some other pluses: outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, a bakery case full of scrumptuous desserts, really nice atmosphere and usually great service.

I have gone here 3 times since this review. I am confused and embarrassed to show guests from out of town here now. Specifically, why is the wait so long? I have even gone here 8:45am on a Sunday and all the tables were not filled. I always get the fennel sausage with eggs and Rosemary potatoes. My cousin had a simple serving of oatmeal. We received our food at 9:25. My potatoes were cold. For the 3rd time the potatoes have been cold and 5 tables filled maxed the last time and my food was cold?! What is going on? Were my potatoes just sitting there? I hate to be that person. Seriously. The food here is awesome and the concept is great. But please… my potatoes and cold food? Not sure if this is a normal thing and I just lucked out the first time I was there at this point.

Great on so many levels… delicious breakfast(favorites are the western wrap and the baked oatmeal), unique drinks(favorites are the red tea latte with almond milk and the basil mint smoothie), the décor is very well done, right down to the staff… helpful and eager to please. Strong, free wifi is a plus. Ryan is the best barista… he sets the bar high. This is my favorite spot for business meetings between Hershey and Harrisburg.

Solid restaurant option. I got breakfast here a few weeks back and enjoyed my Veggie Flipper and Pumpernickel Bread. The hot tea came in a cute little pot and our waitress was nice. I wish I could say that there was something else that was more stand out about this place, but honestly, everything from the location to the ambiance to the food was solid and good, but not anything crazy, just passable. It was also abnormally chilly inside, which was unnecessary. I would go back to try another meal, however. People love this place enough to make me want to try lunch or dinner here instead. Maybe then I will be more impressed.

Stopped in while visiting Harrisburg and liked the concept, though the café’s location in a shopping center felt like a strange juxtaposition. Really like the sound of the eclectic menu overall, though the breakfast sammich I opted for was just okay and nothing that really stood out. The coffee selection is a bit limited, reminding me of the Canton(Baltimore) Atwater’s– just a few options, each with strong character. The one I had was just too heavy in the chocolate department for my tastes. Grabbed a few baked goods to go, sharing them with my gal later. The pecan bar was a bit too sweet, but the baked oatmeal bar more than made up for it. Service was okay, and staff seemed to be happy, which I always like to see. Would love to give it another go if in the ‘burg again.

Really loved this place! Was staying across the street at the Hilton on a Saturday, checked in early afternoon and were looking for a bite to eat that was walkable because it was pouring. Saw a review that said ‘great place among a bunch of crappy ones’ which made our choice easy! Sat down right away, quaint, cozy, but very well decorated little café. My boyfriend started with a caramel apple cider(on their September special menu-YUM) and I with a hot tea. We each ordered paninis, his the ham and cheese(real carved ham, a soft buttery bun, hot and well made) and I with another September special, the maple turkey sandwich(the maple Brie, carved turkey, and grilled apples made it to die for). Homemade chips and a really reasonable bill($ 25) made for an excellent trip.

This was my second visit to TPC and the standard they set up first time, is still there. The café has great vibe, great food and service. Those are the things that count. This time I tried: 1) Maple and Spice French toast, with table syrup — very good. 2) TPC Croissant breakfast sandwich with pesto mayo — excellent. The description in the menu says ‘flaky croissant’ and it is true. I would not mind having this next time I go there for breakfast. Service — excellent! Can you open a branch in Mechanicsburg, so it is closer and then I can visit more often?
