In PA again and I remembered this place from my last visit. Tried the S3, tofu and veggies in sizzling pot. The veggies were still crisp, which is very important to me. Overall good flavor. Rice at bottom of pot was a little oily, but not a deal breaker. Would go back again.

I’ve heard great things about this place, so I was finally nearby and gave it a whirl. I ordered the Thai tea right away and was very impressed. The flavors were so delicious and refreshing! We ordered the shrimp spring rolls as our appetizer. These present as the most beautiful spring rolls I’ve ever seen. The thin rice paper wrapping is transparent, so you can see pink shrimp sitting on a bed of greens. This was very fresh and tasty, but I, personally, was not a fan of all the mint. Mint is a strong flavor and I just prefer to have a hint of it in dishes. The peanut dipping sauce the rolls were served with was very good and help to balance the flavors better. My husband ordered the house phở. As expected, this was very authentic and amazing. His beef phở was shaved beef, brisket, tenderloin, and tripe. The usual condiments and toppings were served before they dropped off the soup. So, if you’re new to eating phở out – do not eat the phở toppings with your salad. Lol! The phở was salty, tangy, and complex and the meat was very good. The tripe is something you need to get used to, but it wasn’t unpleasant. I ordered the grilled shrimp with vegetables. It came in a deep bowl with rice on the bottom. The veggies and shrimp were mixed and topped with cilantro and mint. This was also a very good dish – everything was cooked nicely. It wasn’t heavily sauced, which allowed me to try out the various sauces on the table. Overall, the food was excellent. Our server was very friendly, but did not speak English much at all. As long as you order with the letter & number combination, you’ll be fine. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it seemed a little lacking in the cleanliness department.

We got take out. Pork spring rolls and the beef and a shrimp phở. They did a great job with the take out setup and didn’t miss a thing! Sprouts, noodles, meat, lime, cilantro, basil, hot pepper, hoisin sauce with a shot of saracha! The spring rolls were fresh and the dipping sauce was tasty. Everything was delicious. We will be back again soon!

The food is decent and the service is good but please give this place a good steam bath. They really need to clean this place! For instance, the bathroom is filthy, and there is grime built up in various places. Surprised to see such have great reviews on Unilocal, which makes me question their validity. Steer clear until they remodel or something.

Great food, well flavored broth for the soups. Great find. Family run and the young son not fully aware of how to give the best waiter service but that is easily forgivable. Prices are very reasonable. If you’re out for good Asian food and don’t need fancy atmosphere highly recommended.

Harrisburg has so many options for Phở these days and this is our go-to. …mostly because it’s my Dad and Step Mom’s favorite phở place and we like to meet up with them there. The interior is not fancy — even a tad run down, but the food is delicious. I love their spring rolls and egg rolls and for my main course I always go for either the beef soup or a noodle bowl. The hubs likes their stir fry platters. I always stop at their grocery store afterwards to stock up on my Asian pantry items.

I have been very hesitant to try anything Asian in Hershey/Harrisburg area. Being new to the area and given that I’m from Philly, I have high standards when it comes to Asian food. The bf and I decided to check out Phở Kim since it’s not far from Hershey. I can honestly say that it wasn’t bad. For the time that I will be living and working in the area, I will be returning here often. The food was good(though slightly different from what I’m used to back home). The spring rolls(summer rolls as we call it in Philly) were wrapped differently, but hey that didn’t effect the flavor. The bf also ordered bo luc lac and it reminded me more of pepper steak but he still enjoyed it. We also got papaya salad, which was slightly different from what I’m used to, but it was decent. Overall flavors were good and service was good. The place reminds me of any Phở place back home, making it enough for me to go back.

Not the best, but surprisingly authentic for a small town setting. My shrimp appetizer(fried triangles) was the most underwhelming(a glorified spring roll) but I enjoyed my banh mi– I wished they used the funkier paté but it sufficed. They put in pickled carrot and daikon but it’s on the blander side but doesn’t have the refreshing snap of fresh carrots either. The papaya salad was pretty decent as well.

Well back again and have been jonesin’ for their food. We split fresh spring rolls. Their peanut sauce is nice and thick and comes with a little spoon to apply. Then shared a Bahn Mi. Then. We each had P9 regular. Ok now we done and it’s always perfect! Till next time

This is truly authentic Vietnamese, so authentic, that if you don’t speak the language — you may not get exactly what you want. They have a very clearly labeled vegetarian menu, and if you order things from it, it may contain fish ingredients… so know what you are getting. I had the Vietnamese tea(and had to send it back asking for just the tea and not the gobs of milk in it). The specialty dish on the vegetarian menu was a hot pot of veggies and tofu over rice. The rice at the bottom was very oily, but it was all very flavorful. The fresh spring rolls(rice paper kind, not fried) were out of this world — but the dipping sauce that comes with it is fish based. I politely asked for a peanut sauce and they gladly brought some. I do have to say, it was a great value and very fresh. I just need to be as specific as possible when I order next time on each dish. Not a ton of vegetarian options, but still enough to satisfy me.

in Harrisburg on a business trip dealing with government wonks all day long. This was a great place and i got there late. service is quick, i think they have a big pot in the back. This was the best Phở i’ve had since the Saigon Golf club. Had the rice paper rolls too. It doesn’t get much better. I was impressed with the whole place. they concentrate on getting good food on the table.

Authentic Vietnamese food in an area you wouldn’t expect. Family owned, and they own the market next door so the produce is fresh. They have a vegetarian section in the menu that was not visible on the online version. Best vegetarian spring rolls(the soft kind, not fried) ever, with lots of greens.

We called before they were closing and they stayed open an extra hour for us. The vegetarian selection was great and all the produce was fresh and vibrant. They were very attentive and very accommodating with our messy kids

This is by far the best Phở place in PA, and I been in Philly for 10 years. If you can’t produce good quality Phở, then the rest of the food shouldn’t even be tasted, and Kim’s surpasses that test.

I visited this charming phở place while in town for business. The food was great. The spring rolls were fresh and the largest I have ever seen. I had the Phở Tom and it came with an ample amount of shrimp and those were huge, too! The jasmine tea is also very good. I didn’t like the fact that the chopsticks weren’t covered. They seemed unsanitary. Beyond that, I would definitely come back!

Went here for lunch a few days back. The restaurant is located in a strip mall along Derry street right next to the Alliance Computers building. There was plenty of parking when I arrived, and even if the restaurant was full, there would still be plenty of parking. The menus was clean & easy to read. The restaurant wasn’t too busy at lunchtime, there were maybe 5 or 6 tables filled and about 10 empty tables. We ordered two large thin-sliced beef soups and one spring roll appetizer. The soups were brought out in just a few minutes, both dishes were excellent! They offer free WIFI but I did not try it out because I went with a guest. We had great service & food and I will recommend this place to friends. I have been going to the Ninh Kieu for Vietnamese food, but I like this place and will definitely try them again for a few other viet meals I eat regularly.
