Attended the Blue and Grey cluster of dog shows last week. The venue is large with plenty of grooming space. Parking is spread out with plenty of electrical hookups. There is limited grass to walk dogs by the corner of Industrial and Cameron otherwise, it’s the parking lot so bring plenty of saw dust for exercise pens. Showers are available in the, market place? I meant to take a photo… Free wifi is inside the building and immediately outside.

Attended the World Horse Expo here for the third time and I have to say that every time I visit this place I am impressed. It is a huge, gorgeous facility and has the space to make any large scale event a success. There are three main areas, the Large Arena, Equine Arena, and main show space. The main show space has two concession stands and large restrooms with hot(really!) water which is so nice in this age of push button«warm» water bathrooms. The concession stands are alright, selling mainly«event» food(think hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, chicken fingers) but the chicken fingers and fries that I had were VERY good.(Best concession stand fries I’ve ever had…) I also have to hand it to them for having one of the best parking plans that I’ve ever seen. You park in a lot a short distance from the building and they bus you to the front door. Parking is inexpensive compared to most places(we paid $ 8.00) and includes that bus ride. After the event is over, they bus you right back to your car. No parking and then walking a mile to the entrance! Only mark against them is their Large Arena. The seats in that place are definitely from the 80’s, small and uncomfortable. Larger persons will not be comfortable attending a show there. That needs an overhaul. The Equine Arena does not have the same issue; those seats are nice and comfy. Overall, great venue and they do a great job! They never fail to impress!

Terrible signage for parking. Inadequate parking. Told park at malls but no one to direct. Parking not cleared of snow so after and hour and half of waiting in traffic told lot was full. Road around in big circle. Pa and the NRA should be ashamed of this job. Cost an outfitter 3 moose hunts and anything else we would have booked.

Tons of parking, all sorts of crazy traffic entrance. Great front hall, but they charge you $ 8 bucks to park, then you get charged to enter $$ events on top of that. Too expensive, and without any real way to get to it from out of town, they rape yewr a$$ to get in to anything, whether a gun show or n ag show. It’s all about $$$.

The Farm Show complex is an immense 24 acre campus of various halls, an equine area, and an indoor arena. In addition to the infamous PA Farm Show, the complex is host to numerous other events around the year, including the gun show, ATV show, home show, business expo, Christmas and gift show, and much more. There are really a ton of fun events that take place here, they even have rodeos in the indoor arena! New to the complex this year is the arrival of Harrisburg’s pro indoor football franchise, the Harrisburg Stampede. They’ll also be playing in the arena so I’m looking forward to checking that out. If you haven’t ever been to the Farm Show complex, I’ll suggest attending the PA Farm Show which takes place annually in January, it’s a good time even if you’re not into cattle or butter sculptures. You will be amazed at how enormous this complex is, I’ve been there a dozen times and still get lost inside.
