The owner of this business emailed each staff member at our local institution to advertise toner to us. In his email he said if we weren’t interested he would take us off his mailing list. I asked to please be taken off the list (I had no purchasing power in my institutional position and was not personally interested), and he responded with a threatening email. He had researched my job position and its funding and threatened to report me to the state for not supporting a local business.
