My husband and I had lunch here yesterday. We had great service. We both had the red pork sandwich. They were by far the best pork bar-b-q’s we’ve ever had. There were actual pieces of meat(not just mush). Lots of meat! Price was quite reasonable. Will definitely return!

Ice cream heaven is a great little shop. Our family has gone here a few times over the years. Nice sized deck outside and a playground for the kids. They have a large ice cream menu(soft serve and hand dipped) as well as daily specials. Kids meals including fries and drink run $ 3.50 to $ 5.00 ea. Our childrens favorite thing is the raised track model railroad in the shop. That and the ice cream. Seating can be limited at times, but they encourage different families to sit together.(wow!) Staff is super friendly & proud supports of Central Dauphin schools!

Having just lunched on their oyster basket, I have vomited and continue to be nauseated. Not only is there something seriously wrong with their oysters but also a whole host of other problems. The name should be changed from«Ice Cream Heaven» to «Ice Cream Hell». On barbecue, they are now famous for burning both the meats and the buns they are served on even when you tell them to avoid burning. This restaurant appears to have been sold to new owners, it is not what it use to be. The new people seem to be too busy to care, try phoning them and you will find out. We sense that customers are falling off like autumn leaves. The dining public should never be taken for granted.

Love this place! I’m addicted to the white pork bar b q sandwich. They have LOTS of ice cream flavors, home made soups, a playground for kids & a neat train track around the ceiling of the dining room.

This place should not be called Ice Cream Heaven. They only offer a limited number of ice cream flavors and it’s nothing special. They do have a lot of flavors of soft ice cream but it didn’t look very appealing. I was very disappointed and won’t be going back. Update from previous comment — I want to clarify why I gave this restaurant only 1 star. It’s called«Ice Cream Heaven» so I had really high expectations. From that name I was expecting homemade ice cream in several flavors and a variety of quality toppings. Instead they had generic store bought ice cream, a list of maybe 15 hand dipped flavors with 3 – 4 crossed out and flavorless toppings.

Been here only a few times since I’ve moved back and while the ice cream I had was excellent the service was a little off. The employees were friendly and nice but the time it took to either get an order taken or receive was a tad on the long side. This was even with it not being busy. Even tonight I went in and went and stood at the order window for a good two minutes with no one helping me. There were no other customers at the time and the was no one behind the counter. Had to go inside for them to realize I was actually there. So the rating would be higher if it weren’t for this.

Ice cream is good, and usually service is as well. However, prices are high. Will most likely drive the extra 5 minutes to Meadows.

finally found a place that has good bbq without having to go downtown. Staff and cooks are very nice and helpful. Just a nice family oriented joint with good food at a decent price. They serve carolina style and regular bbq.

My wife and I come here all the time… good ice cream and it’s a great place to just relax and eat on the deck during the summer. They also have very good food(my favorite is their chili dogs,) and also offer a little playground area for kids.

Their ice cream is very tasty, with generous portions. We came in 5 minutes before close(after searching for a dessert place for half an hour) and were pleased that the employee did not act like we were a burden. Love the Model Railroad on the ceiling.

In a time when most companies focus on their profit and not their customers it is nice when you find one cares more about the customer than money. I received an email from the owner of Ice Cream Heaven after my review had been posted. I was offered a refund even though the food mishap was months ago and I also have a better understanding of 2 things: 1. The cooks are responsible for the food and were either new or not completely trained. 2. The playground equipment gets used pretty often. I have taken my family here many times for ice cream and I am not a fan of the other places close by. I will continue to come here for ice cream and if you want to have some fun with your hunny bunny. get the banana split it is HUGE and you can share. I appreciate the honesty and offer from the owner and maybe will give the food another try the next time we go.

Have a wide range of soft-served flavors. Also, they serve Hershey’s hard ice cream. Growing up, I used to love coming here after all of my baseball games. I have never really eaten the food there, but it’s one of the best soft-served Ice Cream places in the area.

I haven’t been to this place in a while even though it is just 3 blocks from my house. This place main has soft serve and some handdipped ice cream. They also serve prepacked ice cream sandwiches and some lunch type items. I only got soft serve. They have mix-in flavorings to make different flavors. I got blackberry and while sweet, did not have much of a berry flavor. BF got German Chocolate Cake(I think) and it tasted mainly like coconut extract. A small cone is just over $ 2. A shame because there doesn’t seem to be any decent soft serve places on the East Shore.
