I stay at a lot of Hampton Inn’s overall customer service was excellent, room spacious and clean. Things I did not like is the hot breakfast did not compare to other Hamptons I’ve stayed in, no breakfast meat any of the days I stayed, cookies come out real late around 730 – 8, most I’ve been at there out around 5pm. Decaf Coffee in lobby cold every afternoon. One reason I stay at Hamptons is I like there beds, but this property has hard uncomfortable beds. My room is on side of highway and that’s all I could hear all night. Customer service was great but not sure I will stay here again as highway noise, bed were not to my satisfaction. If you like hard beds and don’t mind noise from highway, then it’s not to bad and would give 4 stars.

My room was clean and well stocked. The hotel overall was in good condition and the staff were friendly and attentive. I didn’t have any issues. As a note, the hotel is next to the highway, but I didn’t notice any traffic noise. The route to the hotel is somewhat circuitous however.

I recently stayed at this Hampton Inn for the first time. I’ve stayed at the Spring Hill Suites across the street, but wanted a change… THEGOOD… –hotel is clean –easy to find parking –room I was upgraded to was spacious(suite room) –fridge in room –large desk –king size was ok –TV w/guide and most popular channels –room got cold quickly when thermostat was adjusted –maid service cleaned the room well daily –plumbing was good –complimentary chocolate cookies(later evening hours) –wifi was good for the most part THEBAD… –upon check-in nobody was at the front desk… I waited for about a minute before someone from the back finally came out(was early evening) –was told initial room had fridge(upon entering room it did not have one)… was told by front desk if no fridge was present to call) –attempted to call front multiple times, no answer –I finally had to go downstairs and spoke with front desk to explain there was no fridge… was told one would be provided and brought to my room… about 15min later was told no fridge was available, but I could move to a room that had one(I had already unpacked all my stuff after I was told one would be brought up) –although new room was more spacious(suite room), bathroom was tiny and shower and weak pressure –closet had less hangers than the basic room I was initially put in –toilet paper is rough –no kleenex in tissue box –bed wasn’t the most comfortable(I do have a tempurpedic at home though) –fridge was as cold as it could be, but didn’t appear to get that cold — was initially given two queen beds when I asked for one king size bed –it is inconvenient to have to sign-in and connect to the wifi everyday… why can’t you just stay signed in for your entire stay??? I also can never sign in with my Hilton Rewards ID… Overall, this Hampton Inn was acceptable. It really was a 50⁄50 in the pro and con department. I didn’t have the breakfast there nor did I use any of the amenities. I was disappointed at my initial check-in and if something wasn’t done I would have requested a manager. I don’t know if I will return to this property, but I wouldn’t rule it out completely. It would really depend on availability and cost. One thing I can say with certainty, improvement is in order here. I will make that known on the survey they send me too.

Just checking in and basically the hotel is pretty far from restaurants/bars(that we;people who are here with me would go to). We inquired about getting refrigerators in rooms and they have the nerve to want to charge $ 10 a day. I think that’s pretty crappy to make your guest pay to chill there own food seeing that this place is out of the way! Really Hilton? Do better.

We stayed here based on other reviews we had seen. This Hampton Inn was a expected, very clean and comfortable. The best part was the very friendly staff, especially the lady who checked us in.

We stay almost exclusively at Hilton owned properties and this one just wasn’t up to the Hilton standard. The hotel itself can be seen off I-81, but is pretty far, tucked back. The rooms were in good condition overall, but should not be allowed to designate it a suites when they do NOT offer a bedroom separate from living room combo. When traveling with kids, it’s nicer to have a room separate from the kids. This didn’t offer that but says its a suite hotel. This hotel had booked several rooms for I’m guessing a kids soccer tournament. They did not handle the volume of parents/children, plus regular families very well. Kids were running all over with not one hotel person commenting on the noise. You opened the 3rd floor elevator door and kids were screaming at 11pm and on. On Friday night it wasn’t as terrible but we heard kids jumping on beds and yelling at 1am. Saturday night all parents were seated downstairs watching hockey drinking and being loud. Kids were unattended yelling and running down the 2nd and floor halls. My kids couldn’t sleep and I couldn’t believe the hotel allowed the noise both nights. The breakfast was a joke! Not any meats available on Saturday or Sunday breakfast. Both days scrambled eggs. My kids were starving both mornings. Sunday they wouldn’t refill even the breads/bagels and it was only 9am. Only light yogurt and kids hate the taste of light. Waffles stuck terribly. Fruit was old and bad tasting. Although it’s nice to have jelly and condiments out in bowls it is gross. A kid stuck his finger in the jelly which was so nasty. Not enough seating and they had a meeting room, but didn’t open it for overflow. People were standing eating or had to go to their rooms to eat. People were rude and didn’t clean up after themselves but the breakfast workers weren’t found and we cleaned tables to even sit to eat. No fresh cookies. My kids look forward to fresh cookies and were sad none were available. Not enough parking if the hotel is full. We came back from Hershey Saturday at 1030pm and it was full… With some tweaks it could be a great hotel. The breakfast needs overhauled with options for people.

Not a fan of calling a single larger room a ‘suite’ … particularly when the only divider between the bed area and the seating area is a very open desk. Property is relatively new and feels it. Staff was friendly and seemed engaged. Breakfast was pretty much standard fare across the board. No reason to be either excited or bothered by it. They could be a little more flexible on their late check out policy. They were sticklers for 1pm, which put a big hassle in the midst of several business calls I had to take. I wouldn’t specifically avoid this place, but I will likely try something else new the next time I’m in town to see if I can find a better option.

Kristina greeted us as if we were the most important people in the world. The room was spacious, clean and welcoming. I completely recommend Hampton Inn North Harrisburg PA.

Hotel is only about a year old and is still fresh and new. Great, friendly staff. The wonderful young lady who checked me in(I can’t remember her name) was friendly and got me off to my room in no time. Being a Hilton Honors Gold member, they upgraded me to one of the larger suites with a wetbar and big long desk. If relaxing and TV watching is your plan, the hotel has the full line-up of Hi-Def DirecTv channels with multiple HBO’s. Didn’t use the pool or fitness room. Breakfast is your standard Hampton breakfast with carbs, fruit, waffles, and a few hot items. If highway noise is bothersome, definitely request a room on the«quiet» side of the hotel as the back side sits right on I-81. Not much within walking distance except some office buildings and maybe the Arby’s and Turkey Hill over the hill on Kohn Rd., but there are plenty of restaurants/eateries within a 5 minute drive.
