Dress Barn

I have a huge problem finding dresses that fit and that are age appropriate. And since I live in Lebanon, the land of the lost when it comes to fashion, I have to travel to find anything at all. I had never tried Dress Barn before because for some reason I had the feeling it was like a Lane Bryant with large sizes. Not so. The size fours fit me and I’m 5′ 4″ and weigh around 108. I’m also 54 so I wanted something age appropriate and not something from the Juniors Department to wear to my step-daughter’s wedding. Which is normally what I resort to. Last time I did this I sent a picture of the top I liked to my daughter and was instructed «Stay out of the Junior’s Department at Kohl’s. I already have a dress that looks like that and people have seen me in it. You can’t buy that.» One of the problems I have in the Misses department is that the dresses are cut quite low and the 4’s are a bit too big on me and when I bend down you can see all the way to my toes because they gape out at the neck. I immediately found 4 dresses in a size 4 that I really liked and ended up buying 2 because I just couldn’t decided which one I liked better. They were all nice and I’m sure I could have found more that I liked as well. And no gaping at the neck! The staff is extremely helpful and are determined to find something you like. All it all it was a pleasant and rewarding experience. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a dress.
