Very good. Comfortable atmosphere, excellent food(I strongly recommend the Spaghetti di Mare… its baked in parchment paper!) and attentive service. I particularly liked the intersection of classically Italian food with black culture… only because I’ve never experienced it done correctly. I’ll certainly be back!

Had Baked Eggs. They were very good. The Avacado on toast with egg looked great. Staff was friendly, but a little slow.

My panini was cold and small. My salad consisted of mixed greens with a weird mustard vinaigrette and no other vegetables. The service wasn’t the best but they were very cordial.

Only went for dessert and coffee and boy was it nice! I thought my pear mousse was the best and the hot chocolate was the dark chocolate kind so I was happy as a clam. The other desserts were nice too. We had tiramisu and gelatto. Will definitely go back!

Came here for dessert since we had already eaten dinner before going here. Reason we came was because an app told us it was a dog friendly restaurant and we had our dog with us. The people that worked there were really nice. They didn’t come as often to fill up our water or anything and it was kind of slow but the people were nice. We got the no flour chocolate cake and the cheesecake. Both were really good! The cake was rich and not too sweet. The cheesecake was a bit lumpy but really good. Recommend this place.

Good reliable option in the neighborhood, lovely outdoor seating and great hosts, reliable food. Service is forgetful and sloppy, but choices here are few.

Great food. Try the bucatini and the steak. The octopus salad was great to start. The service was very slow though. The food also took forever to come out. Would still come back for the great food though.

This experience was below average. The food was decent however we had really poor service– got the set 3 course menu and there was over and hour between main course service and dessert because they had forgot about our dessert. They also did offer to get us additional drinks after we had finished the first round. I won’t go back here because of the service.

A delightful place, located on Lennox Avenue. Sitting outside feels like you’re in a small town due to the low rise adjacent brownstones surrounding, terrific views when you can see the night skies. Some local Jazz musicians will jam on weekends to add into your dining night out. Great well prepared Italian fare at reasonable prices. Octopus salad was a winner as well as their fried calamari and their spaghetti had the perfect mix of al dente and pommodoro with basil hints and lightly dusted with grated parmesan reggiano. Service is casual but precise and professional, without being overfamiliar. clientele is a diversified one which is areally nice touch. A great spot if you’re in Harlem

This review is for takeout/delivery. Twice we’ve given Settepani a chance, and both times have been huge disappointments. This last time, we ordered through Seamless for a delivery of an app and two entrees. The appetizer we received was the wrong one, and was a confusing dish of lobster, potatoes and onions — the flavors made no culinary sense. Our entrees — ravioli and spaghetti — were the absolute ****WORST**** pasta dishes I’ve ever tasted. The ravioli was bland, and came in an unappetizing congealed mess. The spaghetti was clearly made with boxed noodles boiled earlier and reheated, and the bolognese was was used very sparingly and worse than jarred sauce. And all for the pleasure of paying $ 55 for a meal we had to toss after a few bites. The only reason I’m giving Settepani 2 stars and not 1 is that I did not get physically sick from the food. Way to aim high, Settepani!

My favorite restaurant in Harlem! Excellent food, atmosphere, service and cocktails ! Try the steak with rosemary and olive oil! The pastas are very good as well! Next time will take photos(ate the food before thinking about taking a photo!). It was that good!

Service was horrible. The server didn’t listen or hear questions I was asking. He had no knowledge of the wine list or food. In fact the wrong food came and he had no idea. The owner was a sweetheart and the food was pretty good but it was out of the way and not worth coming again. I feel bad saying that but there are just too many restaurants in NYC.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I went to have brunch this afternoon. I ordered pancakes and they were a bit well done. When I cut into them I noticed both pancakes were burnt on the other side. The server quickly removed the plate and placed another order for me. The 2nd order of pancakes seemed perfect. Yet, when I cut into them the inside was completely raw and the batter spilled out onto the plate. The server noticed and apologized and was about to remove the plate. I asked him to leave the plate because I wanted to speak to the manager. A very tall skinny black guy — the manager — walks over and offers to place the order again. At this point I was annoyed — I had already waited over 25 – 30 minutes to eat and I had my 10 month old infant with me. She was well-behaved even though she was hungry and just watched TWO plates of food taken away from our table. I informed the manager I was going to leave and asked him to please bring my stroller over; it was parked off to the side of the restaurant. My daughter was in the high-chair and I never leave her unattended in a high-chair. I was upset and had enough at this point. Yet, instead of bringing the stroller over FIRST he walks over to their POS screen & prints out a bill for $ 2.99 for an iced-coffee I never received and placed it on the table. I was livid! A female employee by the bar saw me strapping the baby into the stroller and asked me why I was leaving. After I explained what happened she asked the manager to make the ice coffee for me anyway. His response, «well she didn’t pay for it» … I told them I didn’t want anything from them. I also informed the manager that it was my first time there & it was definitely a very bad first impression. Here are my issues with this place: First of all, who sends out burnt food & then follows up with raw food. Pancakes are pretty easy. If you can’t manage that you’re in trouble. Secondly, the manager was more concerned with collecting«$ 2.99» from me than trying to address the matter; because if he did, he would of known I never got the iced-coffee. Thereafter, he added more insult to injury when he told the woman he didn’t want to give me the iced-coffee because I «didn’t pay for it.» Ummm sir, I just spent 30 minutes at this restaurant. I came in hungry and now I’m starving! There were only 4 other patrons there; 2 at a table and 2 at the bar. The restaurant was not busy. A good manager would have said, «I’m sorry your orders were not up to par. I’ll go speak to the chef now and make sure they get it right. In the meantime, can I offer you something to snack on to hold you and your baby over since you’ve been waiting so long for your food? «or something along those lines. After this incident, I will never go back. I’ve been to a few events catered by Settepani and I was really looking forward to having a nice brunch with my daughter. I hope the owner, Leah Abraham, hires a better cook who doesn’t send out inedible food and finds a better manager who knows how to treat patrons when these situations occurs.

I had brunch here today. What a mistake. The only good part of our meal was our server, who was very nice. We ordered a burger medium rare, which arrived not only well done, but very well done. So dry. Bleh. Also ordered was the omelet, which came so unbelievably over-cooked that it was completely brown. I don’t mean a little brown around the edges or with some color, I mean the surface of the omelet was completely brown. I immediately pointed it out to our waitress, who quickly agreed and said, «Yes, that’s really bad». It was replaced pretty quickly and still the eggs were overcooked and pretty dried out, but at least it was edible. Served with it was a salad that was completely drowned and drenched with dressing. I couldn’t even finish my salad. Bad food all around. While I’m at it, I’ll add that the atmosphere and décor in this restaurant is nearly nonexistent. It’s like you’re in an empty room that used to be something else and someone came in a put in some tables and chairs. Zero character with a random tv in the corner for no apparent reason. This place adds absolutely nothing to Harlem. I will not be returning.

This is restaurant is one of those places that adds to the quality of life in the neighborhood. Went there on lovely Thursday evening and felt at home as soon as we sat down. We sat outside but we were still able to hear the talented jazz ensemble playing just inside. You can come here for a drink or a meal… and you can take your time doing either. The food selection was delicious. I had the tuna carpaccio and my boyfriend had the salmon tartare to start. Both quite tasty. For the main course I had the bistecca al Marino(basically steak frites) and the hand cut fries were addictive. The BF had lamb chops in mustard sauce and was quite happy with his choice. The food combined with the overall ambiance of the restaurant and the attentiveness of the owner made for a wonderful experience. We’re putting this charming spot in our regular rotation!

Save your coin and time! Food is sub par for price. My steak was extra well done despite asking for medium. Had to beg to have my side salad replace the french fried and it was DRENCHED in dressing. too busy pushing drink special than actual customer service. Attended for a birthday party wanted a glass of wine instead got plastic cup $ 11.94… Asked for a glass was told no because I was here for a party, hour later saw flutes of champagne go around when I got one, again plastic cup. Asked for food to go u was given the tuber ware and a bag… God forbid my poorly prepared $ 35 meal be put away for me while wearing an evening gown. Usually LOVE my harlem spots but this is one I’ll steer clear of. For this price point the expectations weren’t met overall. Better places nearby but hey worth a try at least once In a positive note… tons of staff, music and ambience nice– hidden quiet hidden spot, probably great for happy hour or the place you go before you go out for the evening.

I’m posting this review for people considering hosting a brunch party here only. I can’t speak to the quality of their regular service. I came here for a Sunday party during brunch. When we arrived on time at 11:30 the tables/chairs hadn’t all been set up yet(bad sign). Once all the guests had arrived– the waiters should have gone around taking orders immediately so that the food could be prepared while everyone chatted and a little ceremony took place. Instead they waited until after the ceremony at about 12:30 to start taking orders. All the work fell mostly on one waitress who was trying her best while everyone else ran around looking confused. The food finally started coming out at about 1:15. For a fixed menu– this is ridiculous. They set the menu in advance so they can anticipate what to cook and get a head start on prep. It seems like they didn’t take advantage of that at all. It took about an hour to get all the food out. Most people were already finished and had their plates cleared while others hadn’t even been served yet. It was really awkward and uncomfortable. The party ended much later than when it was supposed to(at 2) The food itself was fine. The menu was simple– eggs benedict, omelettes, burger, etc. I enjoyed my eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I would not recommend this restaurant for parties but perhaps they do a better job with their regular service.

I feel the need to write this review after coming here multiple times and just finding so much amiss. The food can be good, unfortunately nothing mind-blowing for the price point. What irks me the most has been the service here. After hoping that the next time would be better than the last, and realizing I should have just stayed home and eaten anything else to avoid coming here. Being ignored at your table for long periods of time, not getting refills, having to get up to find a waiter/waitress so that you can put an order in… Not acceptable. Especially when they aren’t busy, and there was a guy literally standing 2 feet away who did nothing. When his friends came in he seemed to care, but everyone else, not so much. I haven’t been back since then nor do I plan to. I only gave 2 stars because it’s clean and the food is okay when someone eventually comes to take your order. Word of advice– step it up when so many great places are opening nearby.
