Fresh fish, good portion. Friendly service. Not too crowded on the weekend. Kid’s meal is a good deal.

This place is amazing! They give you so much food for the price. And lots of awesome tasting fish. Pico de gallo is yummy too! I had the battered fish tacos. Friends had the salmon and shrimp tacos. Everyone was pleased. DABOMB!

Another good find thanks to Unilocal! We were in the area for a special event, never been out to this city before. I didn’t really look like the city offered much more than fast food but lo and behold we found a fish taco fast casual… our favorite! The inside was very clean and spacious and there was nice jazz music playing through the speakers. Prices were totally fair, avg $ 12 plus tax for a meal. I ordered the platter with grilled ahi tuna, substituted brown rice, and Cajun style seasoning(They also have a garlic butter flavoring for the fish). We asked if the Cajun flavoring was spicy and the employee said it wasn’t so we went for it! My husband ordered 2 mahi mahi tacos and 1 shrimp taco. It took a little while to get our food but not that long at all. And once we received our food we realized why it took so long… my ahi was gigantic! Of course it will take a long time to cook it! And the food, all of it, was absolutely delish! I took a bite of the Mahi and shrimp tacos and they were also super good. Their mayo like sauce on the tacos really hits the spot! Not sure if we will ever be in town again but we will definitely stop by again if we are!

The battered fish tacos are some of the best I’ve had. In terms of eBay customer feedback, they get an A++++

Best Best Best grilled salmon ever. Take my word and if you are ever in Torrence, visit this place. It looks like any run of the mill restaurant from outside but the food is beyond delicious. The combination of salmon, rice, beans and shrimp was finger licking tasty. I can fly to LA just to eat here.

Since I posted my last review, I’ve been back many times since. Everything continues to be perfect here. The fish is always treat and fresh. The staff is so nice and always say bye to you when you leave. I love that. The ambience in the dining area might not be the best, but I think they still deserve give stars for running such a great establishment and offering healthy food in an area basically devious of healthy options. Thank you Baja Fish Grill!

Great as always, the owner and his wife are fantastic people with great customer service. I enjoy getting the Mahi Mahi garlic butter with rice and fries. If you like things on the spicey side order Cajun Mahi Mahi. The salsa is prepared fresh daily and is a good mix with the rice and fries. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it’s a nice place to take the family. If you are more health conscious you can skip the fries and rice; request to have them substituted with steamed vegetables. Delicious broccoli, carrots and mixed veggies for your pallette with a main course of fresh fish. The portions I have noticed are larger then most fish grills. The drink menus is pretty good, if your watching your weight like me, opt for the green tea or raspberry iced tea. Of course if not your regular soda and Hi-C are at your disposal.

The food is good, bu there seems to be a high turnover of cashiers and some difficulty with English. Parking is really bad, and usually if it is bad I go somewhere else.

If it weren’t for the hair in my fish taco i might give it an extra star but a big hair counts for at least one star off.

I love the food at this place. Don’t let the spot in a strip mall across from a «strip» joint fool you. I go for the Cajun swordfish and it is delicious. Great prices for high quality, relatively healthy fare. Gets 5 stars for overall price and quality.

I love this place. I’ve been here many times. It’s good quality healthy food at affordable prices. It’s definitely a bit of a dive with a neighborhood to match, but I like to stop here for dinner when I pick my dog up from Canine Retreat — the best dog daycare and dog boarding facility in Los Angeles. I’ve tried many different kinds of fish here. My favorites are trout, salmon and tilapia. I usually get the rice and beans with cole slaw. Very delicous and healthy. Woudl highly recommend.

This place is amazing! Too bad it’s so far from where I live or I’d go here all the time! This place reminds me of California Fish Grill, but their portions are even bigger than that, isn’t that crazy? I got the Swai fish, cajun style and it was absolutely delicious! The portion was huge; I took half of it home for lunch the next day. My friend asked the nice cashier how big the taco was and she said it was big. Do not underestimate this size description: the taco was HUGE. He usually can eat 4 tacos served at other places, but he was only able to eat one of them here with the fries and coleslaw. The service was excellent also. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in the area!

I drove eight miles(and back) for six ounces of just slightly above mediocre clam chowder… I ordered two large clam chowders over the phone, and when I arrived for pick-up, the unfriendly cashier flatly asked for my name, and then brought out two paper bags. I had anticipated relatively large take-out cups/bowls of soup, but in each bag was only a small cup. I asked, «Is this large?» and, with a very conspicuous tone of impatience, she replied, «Yes.» I’m not even going to contemplate anymore about the size. From that moment, it was just about her attitude. When I later tried the clam chowder, I was dubious. Considering the various soft chunks at the bottom of my bowl, I suspected the soup was artificial other than the pieces of celery in almost every spoonful. The chunks were almost like potato… But not quite, because potatoes never get as soft as that. Otherwise, the chowder was a bit bland and rather lacking in clam. It wasn’t terrible, and one filled me for the time being, but I definitely wouldn’t go back and pay almost $ 10 for two measly bowls of seemingly artificial chowder.

I love this place! Similar(almost identical) to California Fish Grill in Irvine, except their food tastes better and the portion seems bigger. Got the Cajun white(swai) fish and asked for half fries half rice on the plate. A hot plate also comes with coleslaw and bread. I was amazed by how tender the fish was! TIP: ask for garlic butter sauce on the side & you can make garlic bread! Simply delicious! My friend got their fish tacos thinking they’re just small tacos. They’re actually double the size of what you’ll think! Pretty decent for the price.

I took another Unilocalers advice and stuck to the grilled fish plates. I got the grilled cajun ahi and my mom got the grilled garlic butter salmon. There is a small salsa bar(3 choices that are pretty good) and can get fresh chips while waiting for food. The plates were really big(we could have shared!) And very good. I liked my cajun more than my mom’s garlic butter but she preferred her garlic butter to my cajun. So I guess it’s all just preference. Both were amazing though! Cost us $ 25 for 2 plates and 2 drinks.

Had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. Ordered takeout last night and got the garlic butter salmon plate & Cajun tilapia plate with rice, French fries, black beans and side of coleslaw. They ran out of calamari and instead ordered clam chowder. Their fish was bland even with the Cajun spices. The garlic butter had a bit more flavor but we shouldn’t have to justify why our food might be lacking in flavor right? I tried adding tartar sauce to my tilapia and even their green salsa. Neither made it better. Clam chowder was okay, could’ve done without it as we had to add tapatio to it to make that better as well. Overall I’m glad I got to finally try this place out. Would I go back? Probably not. There’s a lot of other fish grill places close by. Removing this from my bookmarks ;) FYI: it’s actually $ 10.95 for their salmon plate. Price on my picture below is incorrect. My apologies.
