They opened up their closed kitchen when we arrived late at 9:30 pm. They were mostly out of food when we arrived, due to Sandy hitting the East Coast and stranding passengers at the nearby Atlanta airport. I consider them three stars, but gave them four because we received outstanding service and their fried catfish was very good.

Awesome staff. But the restaurant needs some work. i write this as a serious customer giving advice, not to bash or criticize – I hope that the suggestions I make reach the restaurant so that everyone’s experiences can be more well received. 1) The menu is a single one sided piece of paper, printed out from a home-made computer. PLEASE – invest some time into making a 2-sided menu, and laminate about 20 copies of them. The process would take less than a day, and every customer would be more impressed. 2) When customers order Sweet Tea or Cola, they employees go behind the bar, whip out an unmarked jug of tea, and pour it in a glass; same effect with a can of cola. If the restaurant is going to store drinks in non-refrigerated jugs, you guys should hide that in the back and not visibly do stuff in front of customers. 3) NOVEGETARIANOPTIONSATALL! If you guys ever laminate the menus, please add two or three veggie options. The Collard Greens were pre-made with bacon, and the spaghetti was pre-made with meat sauce. 5% of the USA is vegetarian, and those 5% can 100% not eat at your restaurant, aside from salad. Even if you store some boca-patties in the freezer, you could then offer«veggie burgers» on your menu. Final note: you guys were super nice, sociable, and friendly. And I enjoyed the sweet tea and salad, and I wish the best for your business. You have a wonderful location, and a sweet deal with Delta providing vouchers, so seriously I hope you guys invest in those suggestions and try to take your restaurant to the next level!

4 Stars for the mac-n-cheese — not healthy, but darn good. This place is a little hard to find; it looks like it’s actually part of the IHOP that you can see from the road. You have to go around back, towards the Best Western, to see the restaurant. Smallish place with a funky kind of vibe — they will advertise as an oldies restaurant /sports bar. And that’s pretty accurate. There are pictures of 50s cars and Marilyn Monroe on the walls, sock-hop music playing throughout, and a bar with a large flat screen showing sports. Just three guys working when I went — nice enough folks, but it’s not too formal; they all just had jeans and t-shirts on. But they were attentive. Prices were good — you get a lot of food for not a lot of money. Not sure if they have it all the time, but they had a list of daily specials which were the same things from the menu but $ 3 – 4 less. Got the fried porkchops, mac-n-cheese, green beans, and corn bread. It was all pretty tasty, but definitely not good for you; they like the butter in their cooking. Really great chocolate cake for dessert. $ 14 for the whole of it. There weren’t a lot of folks there. I’m sure most of their business comes from the Best Western. If you are nearby the airport and don’t want McDonalds or the IHOP this is a nice change — home cookin’.
